2 C2 Operation: GOOP

How are you doing? Fine, I hope. As for me my situation is not that good.

A young girl rummaged through trash bins inside a dark alley. She was skinny and wears rags that barely covered her private parts.

"*sigh* Another miss. How long do I have to do this?" the girl murmured as she climbed down the trash bin.

That's right, that girl is me. When I regained consciousness, I woke up in a dark alley just like this one. Imagine my shock when I discovered that I became a girl.

According to the girl's memories, I am currently in the Shattered Moon Kingdom and the date is 2001. Also, my name is Alex, no surname and I think I'm about nine this year... maybe.

When I transmigrated I thought that this will be the start of my Isekai adventure, but no. I was disappointed when I got the girl's memories. This place is simply a parallel Earth.

But I didn't let this affect me. I can still use my future knowledge to my advantage. I just need to get out of my current situation. As an orphan, a beggar nonetheless, I need to work myself just to eat and I slept in these dark alleys near the trash bins.

The girl strutted to her base. A makeshift house(?) made up of trash bin covers, wood planks, and floor tiles. Inside there are only gadgets made of scrap and trash aside from her bed, which is an old broken down couch.

I have hope of getting out of my situation though. I just need to start the operation. After I transmigrated, I got eidetic memory and my comprehensive intelligence increased. It's been a two months since I got here and I made these gadgets during these two months. Two years of mechanical engineering course didn't go to waste.

Using the scraps and parts that I salvaged from trash bins and the scrapyard I made some useful gadgets. Some of them made ahead of their time due to my future knowledge like that drone there at the corner.

I finished that drone just a few days ago. In these days I used the drone to scout my surroundings and due to this I found an orphanage nearby here about 400-500 meters away. I was hoping that they could accommodate for me and I am sure they will let me stay there as I saw in my observations that they accepted other orphans from the streets.

As for their nature, I'm sure they're good cause they are nuns. What could go wrong with them being nuns? Right?

Anyways, I will go there after I finish building my base. I took the skateboard I made along with the drone and laptop in my makeshift bag and went to the rural area to the south.

South of the city is a rural forest area and I have been building my base there. The one in the city is just a storage and a temporary base. All of my important inventions are there with just some failure in the store house.

After a few minutes, the girl arrived in front of a tall tree inside the forest. You can see an inconspicuous tree house at the top of the tree hidden by the leaves and branches. She climbed up the tree nimbly, reaching the tree house fast.

"Hahaha! Home sweet home!" I said as I opened the hatch leading me inside my house.

In my past life, I always dreamt of building a tree house but me being in a city didn't really help. Now that's on check off my bucket list.

I am afraid of being driven away from here by the local government though, as this is considered illegal. Meh, they wouldn't care anyway as this is an unclaimed are with no property owner... I guess. And even if they do plan to drive me away, I would be out of here before that happens.

As long as my transaction with Fatty Kai is smooth, I will have my plenty money to last for days. Ahhh... I miss the taste of bacon and eggs w/rice as my breakfast every morning. You will get to eat it again, Alex, just a little longer.

The little girl placed her skateboard and bag at the post near the hatch before going to the desk where she placed her drone and laptop.

This tree house only have three small rooms with them being a living room (where I build things), a storeroom, and a bedroom. Although this place is supposed to be enough for me, I still need to find a proper house cause of... you know... the local government.

I went to the storeroom and took some small solar panels. Who would throw away these things? Not that I care as I benefitted from it. I also took my toolbox and some other parts to upgrade my drone. This drone is kinda trashy, it had low battery life and slightly unstable flight. I will also upgrade it's camera for better quality.

". . ."

*Phew*"It's done! Hehehe~ Let's test this bad boy out!"

I took my laptop and ran some programs to run some diagnostics. Wouldn't want my lovely drone to crash, now do we?

After running the diagnostics, I took the newly built remote control and plug it in my laptop. Until now I was using the laptop keyboard to fly this bad boy and I would say that it had low maneuverability when you use a laptop as controls.

I switch on the app on my desktop for the drone, Bonk, and controlled it to fly. I have a bad naming sense okay...

The drone propellers spun quickly before it slowly started flying from the ground. With fluid movements, I controlled my drone to fly outside the tree house.

"Yes! It seems like my modification didn't affect the drone negatively, more so that it's better that before. I really am a genius!"

"Now let's go to Fatty Kai's house!"

I controlled the drone and went to the city again. Fatty Kai is my friend, the only friend I have or this body have. He is a chubby ten year old kid living near this forest at the border of the city. I was his friend for two years and he snuck some food for me from time to time. He's a good guy.

The drone arrived near a house made of cement and wood before long that had a green gate. I maneuvered the drone to fly down the open window in the second floor where Fatty's room is.

Through the video feed, I saw Fatty Kai drawing in his desk some anime. He was drawing Yugi.

"Hoy, Pig!" I shouted and it shocked Fatty Kai that he fell on his chair.

"Buhi—! Who?!"

Fatty Kai looked around and saw the drone behind him. He sighed before angrily catching the drone. But the drone dodged his hands.

"Hey, Fatty Kai! Don't touch my drone, you'll break it."

"Who told you to surprise me?! I thought someone else entered, like a thief," Fatty Kai said in exasperation while looking at the flying drone.

His friend changed two months ago and she suddenly had interest in these mechanical things, though it was not a bad change. She was still his best friend.
