One Step Closer

The large two-story house with many windows looks magnificent.

The outside looks like ancient architecture, in the form of high pillars with a domed roof arched like a castle. The yard of the house is very spacious, the flower gardens are neatly arranged. The sound of gurgling water coming from small rivers and artificial forests on the side of the park.

Lisa stared unblinkingly, they were still outside the door, and she continued to chuckle in admiration. Lisa thought the media was too much when she wrote about William's family background, this is not kidding.

Lisa looked at herself, to be precise, her appearance didn't quite match where she was standing right now.

"I thought Claire was wrong when I said you were beautiful," Daniel wrapped his arms around Claire's waist, smiling at Dave before continuing his sentence, "You are so beautiful." Daniel and Cliare laughed.

Lisa exhaled, she had been holding her breath for a while when Daniel started to say something about her. Lisa smiled a little.

Daniel, with his age that is no longer young, but his face is still very handsome. Black hair, with a clearly visible jawline. His stature is tall, looks dashing even with only his white shirt. He has a dimple on the right, Dave inherited it. Meanwhile, Dave's eyes and lips seemed to get them from Claire. No wonder Dave's face is almost beyond perfect, they all come from genes that are no less perfect.

"Lili, this is Claire and Daniel, my parents." Dave pointed at Daniel and Claire in turn.

After passing through the front room, then walking in the small lobby to the right, is the family room. The room was a little more spacious than the previous room.

On the other side are several dark brown cupboards that contain various types of books that are neatly arranged. Don't forget the important point, a mini bar containing tens or maybe hundreds of wines of various types is lined up neatly there. A soft yellow light flashed from the cupboard and the mini bar table.

Claire explained to Lisa a bit how she and Daniel had designed it that way on purpose, putting a lot of things in one room to match its name, the family room, which does things in one room together.

The dining room is next to the kitchen, of course after going through many rooms, continues to walk to the end. There is a small swimming pool at the back of the house. Because it uses translucent glass, the reflection of light from the pool water can be seen from the dining table.

Lisa almost jumped in surprise when Daniel pulled out a chair for her.

The long dining table was filled with food from end to end. About fifteen chairs were lined up neatly opposite each other, but only four were occupied. While the table was full, it was full. "How can they make fun of you?" Dave whispered, asking again. Lisa looked at Dave annoyed. Lisa didn't answer. Her eyes were busy sorting out which food to take first. Lisa looked at Claire and Daniel who started to take their food.

She thought hard. Did she have to pretend to have a bit of a eater to make a good impression on her first meeting with Claire and Daniel? It's always like that in dramas.

"You don't the foods, Lisa? Why haven't you touched any of yours yet?" Claire asked seeing Lisa's plate which was still clean. Lisa shook her head awkwardly.

"Dave gave me a list of all your favorite foods, so I prepared them all," Lisa coughed in surprise, no wonder that all her favorite foods were there, She almost thought her taste was the same as Wiiliam's. Lisa looked at Dave, their eyes meet.

How did Dave know her favorite food? Did he investigate? Dave William, what's on his real mind? He doesn't really like an ordinary girl like that right? Lisa wondered.

Dave in front of her, smiling gently, holding her hand, seemed to reassure her with a number of questions in Lisa's head.

Nine o'clock at night.

The car drove steadily through the night. Lisa looked straight ahead, her gaze was nowhere, her mind was a little confused. There had been so many events lately that had disturbed her quiet life. It was beyond her expectation.

And today, it seems to be the most absurd. In the afternoon, her marriage proposal from Dave was accepted by force. In the evening, she visited William's residence as a prospective son-in-law with all her awkwardness.

The dinner went well. Claire and Daniel also welcomed her very well. They took Lisa around the house, told a little about Dave's childhood, drank Dave's wine together in their mini bar.

Daniel and Claire are friendly parents and not boring, Lisa is often made to laugh with their little jokes. Very different from Dave's nature. Everything was comfortable, Lisa was no longer as awkward as before, until later, they arrived at one conversation.

About her and Dave's wedding. It happened very suddenly. Dave sit next to her, holding her hand gently. He looked at Claire, Daniel and Lisa seriously, then said firmly, "The wedding will be early next month."

Claire and Daniel of course jumped for happiness at the news, their only son was finally getting married, their wish would soon be fulfilled.

While Lisa looked at Dave questioningly, asking for an explanation. Lisa gave the news to Jessy a few minutes later. Jessy and Dalen had returned to the Wilson residence one day ago.

Lisa didn't say much, Claire was the one who said many things to Jessy through the video link. Jessy gave the news to Jane and Andrea right away. Jane was confused at first, but then jumped for joy as did Claire.

The agreement, is that three days later a meeting will be held between the William family and the Wilson family. After Jessy married Dalen, Jane and Andrea became Lisa's guardians, they really treated Lisa like their real daughter.

The car stopped, they had arrived at their destination.

"We've arrived Lily." The touch of Dave's hand next to her interrupted Lisa's thoughts. Lisa looked out the car window, Wilson's residence.
