Obviously, Guihu Luixing was already too far and couldn't hear his mother's whisper.
Instead of heading home, Guihu Luixing went straight to the training field where he had a spar against Hector Schmitt earlier.
During the competition, there would be many disciples that trained for many months, some would have trained for years.
If he didn't have at least one technique, his chances to achieve "great performance" was quite slim against competitors much more experienced than him.
Reaching the training field, he checked to see if anyone was watching him, as a hidden weapon, this technique was naturally more powerful when hidden. The less people knew about it, the better.
After making sure no one was around, he started training.
The Blade Shadow scroll he received was very different from the one in the bookshelf. The one in the bookshelf had a brief introduction to the technique, what one would be able to do at each level of proficiency and the requirements. It was basically a brief summary of the technique.
The one he received from his mother however, was the real deal. It described in detail the technique's training methods, suggested use and future achievments.
According to the scroll, to start he needed to be able to concentrate and control Gold Qi to form needles. The needles needed to be sharp enough to pierce someone and strong enough to resist the impact when they collided against the target.
Guihu Luixing tried right away. As soon as he started, he found an obstacle. Guihu Luixing was able to briefly use elements of a single element, but to use just a single element with precision, for a long time and externally, required a large amount of effort.
If someone's Qi was like someone's blood, each element would be like the composition of blood, like the red cells, the white cells, the platelets, the plasma, etc.
The more affinities someone has, the more "components" present in their Qi stream, making it more difficult to isolate and control each element. For Guihu Luixing, that had all elements at at least Great Compatibility, this was even more true.
He was now experiencing a "pain" exclusive to great geniuses. If he had just Perfect Compatibility with gold and all the other elements were good or less, he could basically just move the whole Qi flow and the interference the other elements would cause in the technique would be minimal.
If Guihu Luixing tried to do that, the other elements would heavily interfere in the technique, leading it to fail, or worse, cause a backlash on him.
He needed to learn to finely control his Qi first. But it wasn't a bad thing. If he learnt how to do that, the benefits would greatly exceed learning one technique.

[You received a new mission. Do you wish to see it now?]
'Yes.'
[Mission N. 11 Techniques
As a future leader of an organisation, you will naturally need to hoard many techniques from many places in order to distribute them to your loyal followers. However, how can you know the value of a technique if you never learnt one on your own? Learn a technique of at least Green Grade within a week!
Reward: New system functionality.
Penalty: One week unjury backlash]
'One week?! Isn't this a little too strict?'
Guihu Luixing started to sweat. He couldn't even start to learn the technique yet and the system imposed such a short time limit on him.
Whats even worsr is that if he fails, he will be bedridden for a week! It would make completely impossible for him to participate in the competition.
The new system functionality, however, was a very enticing reward. It made him even more determined to learn the technique.
Guihu Luixing sat down and started to feel the Qi he gathered inside himself. He could clearly feel his Qi was "rich" in Gold, Earth, Yin and Darkness. Although less abundant, there still was a very large amount of Yang, Wind, Wood, Water, Time and Space element. Fire, Light and Lightning were clearly less abundant, but certainly not rare.
He lifted his right hand at the height of his eyes and started to control his Qi on his hand, right in front of his eyes, giving him a perfect
The odd thing was that each "strand" of elemental Qi behaved differently.
Water Qi flowed slowly and contouring obstacles. The Darkness and Light Qi seemed to be playing hide and seek with each other, even though the Light Qi was clearly disadvantaged. The time and space Qi berraved erratically but at the same time as if under a strict rule, it's mysteries unsolvable to Guihu Luixing.
Like that, Guihu Luixing spent a lot of Time observing how each Qi bahaved, especially the Darkness and Metal Qis, so he could understand them better.
If any expert at the Golden Core Realm observed Guihu Luixing, they would be surprised. He was doing the same thing they were desperately trying to do! To reach a deeper understanding about the elements!
It's likely they would either scoff at Guihu Luixing's attempt, or sing praises for his talent. Of course, only aftet they learnt how could a simple Mortal Great Realm cultivator could even observe the elements so closely.
Guihu Luixing didn't know what he was doing was something normally impossible. Great Mortal Realm cultivators didn't have enough sensitivity to feel hoe the elements behaved, like he was doing now. Even if he did though, that wouldn't stop him.

On Guihu Luixing's room, Dark Moon just woke up. Every time she heard Guihu Luixing's chant, she felt her power increased a lot, but she would also feel very tired.
She u
would usually spend the whole night studying and then would head to Guihu Luixing's room where she would hear his chant. Training one's soul whilr being tired, naturally Dark Moon would feel vey strained, so she usually slept after the training was done.
Looking around, Dark Moon noticed Guihu Luixing left and didn't take her with him. This made she pout a bit on the inside. To her relief, the "ghost girl" was still in the ceiling. He hadn't taken her with him.
As Guihu Luixing wasn't around, Dark Moon decided to get back to her training. Last night, she realised she could control Soul Slaves and she spent most part of the night training to control them.
Her control was still quite shabby, and the rate that she managed to deal a good attack was still quite low, making her attacks quite irregular. Sometimes it left a big crater on the ground, sometimes it just left some scorch marks.
Actually, the "mysterious person" who left the marks on the training field, besides Serana, was Dark Moon herself. But as Guihu Luixing didn't know that, he had no way of guessing.
She wanted to surprise him, showing how strong she was and that she could be useful, be something more than just a pup.
Anxious to resume her training, Dark Moon hurried to the training field.
To her surprise, she found Guihu Luixing there. She didn't expect to see him here.
'Was he training?' she thought as she looked at the boy observing the Qi moving on his hand.
Hello everyone.
I hope you guys have been enjoying my work so far.
I am sorry for the lack of chapters this week, I'll try to release at least another chapter today. I already sent my notebook to the repair and might fix it this week, if it's fixable. With a notebook, it would be much easier for me to post chapters.
My lifestyle changed a lot recently. I got a job I like and I can dedicate myself to. I won't abandon the novel, but I ask for your understanding that it isn't my main priority.
