The Lei mansion.

Huang Ling was pacing back and forth in the living room of the Lei mansion anxiously waiting for Lei Junshan. It had been a long time since Lei Junshan and Grandma Lei had left, but they had still not returned to the mansion. Also, Lei Junshan was not answering any of Huang Ling's calls.

Yi Chunhua did not know of all this as she walked with her assistant Wen Nuan towards Huang Ling.

"Xiao Ling, your engagement gown is here," Yi Chunhua showed the gown to her future daughter-in-law. "Isn't it beautiful? You will look absolutely dazzling adorning this gown."

Yi Chunhua was about to continue praising Huang Ling when she saw Kai Ming strolling across the living room with a small wine bottle clasped in her slender fingers. Her countenance changed immediately as her eyes hardened with a mix of resentment and disdain. Seizing the moment, Yi Chunhua couldn't resist the opportunity to taunt her sister-in-law.

She said to Huang Ling, "You will look absolutely beautiful in this gown but I won't in my outfit, as some evil people don't want anything good happen in our family."

"What do you mean, Yi Chunhua?" Kai Ming asked, "Are you saying that I am evil?"

Before Yi Chunhua could reply, she spotted Lei Gang walking hand-in-hand into the Lei mansion with Huang Min.

Her eyes darted in Kai Ming's direction as a mocking smirk appeared on her lips. 

"How can I call you evil, sister-in-law? If you were really evil, you would have chased away your husband's mistress until now, right?"

Kai Ming's face had darkened on seeing her husband and his mistress together. And when she heard Yi Chunhua mocking her, Kai Ming's face turned black.

She ordered Yi Chunhua to shut up before she strutted towards Huang Min.

"This dress does not suit you, Huang Min," Kai Ming said, "Do one thing. Come in the evening. I will give you some of my old clothes. They will definitely suit you. After all, you are accustomed to having second-hand goods, right?"

Huang Min was infuriated. She pointed a finger at Kai Ming, "Kai Ming, you…"

Before she could say anything, Lei Juncheng stood beside his mother, his aura indicating danger which made Huang Min stop.

"What are you doing in Lei mansion?" Lei Juncheng said coldly, "I have told you previously that you are not welcome here."

He then pointed towards the door, "Please leave."

Huang Min flicked her hair arrogantly, "I will go back for now. But I will return. And when I return, I will return as a part of the house. Then, I will see who goes out of the house."

After Huang Min left, Lei Juncheng made his mother calm down before he returned back to his room.

On the other side, Kai Ming walked furiously towards Yi Chunhua. She had not forgotten the taunt that Yi Chunhua had thrown towards her, "Yi Chunhua, you can say anything about me. But don't you dare talk anything about my husband and Huang Min.

"And anyway, you will become a mother-in-law soon. So better learn how to speak."

Yi Chunhua also roared back, "I am going to become a mother-in-law that's why you and brother-in-law are getting crazy."

"What rubbish!" Kai Ming could not understand what Yi Chunhua was trying to say.

Yi Chunhua cleared Kai Ming's doubts, "I have heard brother-in-law speak to Lei Juncheng about how my Junshan will move far ahead of him by marrying Xiao Ling. And both of your sons will be left behind."

Kai Ming did not pay heed to Yi Chunhua's words and said, "You know what, Yi Chunhua? It is becoming more and more difficult to stay with you under a single roof."

Before Yi Chunhua could say anything, Kai Ming walked away.

Yi Chunhua felt that all the irritation growing inside Kai Ming was because she was jealous of her. And Kai Ming's jealousy was something which made her happier.

So, in a happy mood, Yi Chunhua returned to the living room where she saw the anxious Huang Ling.

She asked gently, "Xiao Ling, what happened? Why are you so worried? The frown on your face doesn't suit you at all."

Huang Ling smiled, "I am not worried, Aunt Yi. It's just that I am a little nervous as Brother Junshan has not returned until now."

"Oh, don't worry, Junshan will return soon," Yi Chunhua smiled, "His habit of returning late has bothered me until now. You should also learn to get used to it.

"By the way, don't you have to prepare for the engagement? You should return home, Xiao Ling." Yi Chunhua advised her future daughter-in-law.

At this time, Wen Nuan reminded her, "Ma'am, it must have slipped from your mind that Mrs. Huang will be coming to pick Miss Huang up."

"Oh right, I totally forgot," Yi Chunhua tapped her forehead, "Your mother will be arriving to pick you up."

Huang Ling nodded.
