CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

"is that so ?"

Justin says laughing

"I wish you were there to see it,his little face was so happy at first he was so sad thinking we all forgot, there was a minute there I thought he would cry",

Kim na-ra kept on talking, talking about in-su like she was seeing them happen before her eye again,one could see that in-su is her life,she talked about in-su previous birthdays, in-su first step, in-su, first word,and with all event she mentioned Justin could see that dong ju witnessed everything with her,he was even there when his son was born,but where was he,?,he wasn't there,on the day of his son birth , wasn't there for noona and in-su,he wished he was but he wasn't and those beautiful times she recalls with sparkles in her eyes was shared with someone else, noona and someone else's memories.

realising Justin had now become silent,with a look of sadness in his eyes Kim na-ra raises her hand to touch his face,which made Justin quickly leave his day dreaming

"why do you look sad Justin?"

"no I am not sad what makes you think so"

"nothing, it is because you just cut yourself off all of a sudden becoming so silent "

"I was just thinking"

"thinking about???"

"in-su how big he will be by next year, and the year after that,what I missed and hope not to miss" Justin replies

"now you are sounding strange of course you will be there,now that you are back we can try making it up to each other",

Kim na-ra says trying to avoid being asked further more questions Justin dip his fork into the kimchi, taking it with rice, tasting it

"sooo,so good noona,have a taste"

Justin says urging her to taste some,Kim na-ra knew what Justin was trying to do,she knew he didn't want her to feel bad,if not why would he ask her to taste the food she brought herself, playing along with him ,Kim na-ra opens her mouth like a spoilt child saying

"feed me",

Justin first hesitated before playing along giving her a spoon full, which Kim na-ra accepted willfully,at that moment her phone began to ring,the caller being dong ju , excusing herself Kim na-ra went to receive dong-ju call

"hello"

"hi"

"have you gotten home yet,i want to talk to in-su before he goes to bed, and you too of course"

"no"

"no what?",

dong-ju asks puzzled

"no I am not at home, just about to"

"em ,em",

Kim na-ra hears dong-ju say in agreement

"when you get home call me"

he says at last

"i will",

hesitating kim na-ra finally says goodbye,ending the call ,dong ju had the feeling that Kim na-ra wanted to say something,but probably had a change of thought ,as he listens to brahms, walking into the bathroom to take a shower.

it had become a usual habit for Justin and Kim na-ra to phone each other every morning and night,unknowing to them that became an habit,Kim na-ra walking towards the bus station after in-su has been picked up by the school bus,in a haste while speaking with Justin over the phone,

"so as i was saying,in-su is having a parent, teachers meeting today which I need to collect a leave of absence today for,also the,,,,,,,,,"

"noona, noona calm down",

"I am calm just don't want to miss the bus,oh I just did",

Kim na-ra says sounding disappointed taking slow steps on arriving at the bus station

"well I guess,it's my fault for over sleeping"

"then I am also at fault because I am the one who delayed you till that late last night", Justin replied

"oh,oh it's okay really ,no one is at fault,or maybe we both are"

which made them both smile

taking a deep breath Justin says

"I forgot to tell you something yesterday, about my visit home",

giving him the time to speak without interrupting, which Justin was grateful for

"they think it is time for me to start working with the company , which I will be resuming office today,what do you think noona?"

"it's not what I think,it is what you are comfortable with,it is what you want, Justin"

"I know what I want,but is it alright if you don't see me all day,for in-su I mean,more so now that a new president is to resume the school this morning" Justin says putting on his tie

"it's not important we can still see in the later day,for in-su I mean",

words finally hitting her,Kim na-ra says

"new president will be resuming today!!!!!

oh God I am late already,that was what you were to say first,I am late,on his first day,which kind of first impression am I leaving"

hanging up on Justin,at that moment, another bus arrives, thankfully she arrived just in time, some minutes before the arrival of the bald head man,which is a far cry to Justin young and handsome self.

clear all your desk,have you brought the flowers in, what of the coffee,the head quarter has been in a turmoil since earlier hours of the day , today is going to be the first day of the arrival of the chairman's son,who is known to have masters and other qualified certifications in business,to day will be the arrival of vice president Justin,who is rumored to have no tolerance to lateness, untidiness and slow results in terms of the workers,

the president is here,he has arrived hurry,they workers all moved around in unions, while some ran outside to welcome him, coming out of the BMW is Justin,one thing Justin never disappointed in is is Fashion sense,a second car parking next to his, opening the car door for Mrs Lee, Justin mother,on seeing the arrival of Justin and mrs lee the workers of about 20 welcomes them with a formal greeting all bowing their heads at the same time ,one of the high workers immediately ushering Justin and him mom into the building all eyes on them as those who walked pass them stops to bow their heads to them as a sign of respect,after passing the workers they all murmur among themselves how handsome the chairman son is, giving a second look over at just admiring his tallness and handsome self ,

"oh my goodness he is so handsome even without him smiling,I wonder how handsome he will be when he smiles"

"did you just see him look over at my side",

"he wasn't looking at you but me"another says dreamingly,

"if I knew this is how mr chairman son is like I would have applied to be his secretary, assistant or something just to see him everyday"

"you are very funny haven't you heard the rumor going on that he is engaged to a famous model"

the female workers who passed by says among themselves.
