"mal chin are you listening to me at all ?"
"What do you expect me to say she's not yours in the first place she's just the mother of your son "
"Well you are right"
justin says finally admitting in frustration as he took a sip from the can beer which mal-chin brought along with him when coming that evening both taking few sips of the can beer they were holding
" But mal-chin i don't know what to do on one hand i am thinking, yeah the old man has been there for them for so long while on the other hand i want to do everything possible i can do for my son and noona but i can't because i don't yet have right to them yet "
"I understand that can be frustrating "
"Yeah good for you because i cannot describe how i feel with words "
"I told my father to stop working with the beak family",
on hearing no response from Justin,mal chin continues
"You know how much i hate families where they abuse each other "
"I get it your senior aunt died due to her husband abuses ,But what is getting me surprised is the fact that you like to leave yourself out of any issues and now you are involving yourself in someone else's personal issues "
"And i will also like to ask you why you have not taken action justin because the justin i know you won't just let his sister-in-law be treated like this " mal-chin says calmly but for some reason he himself does not know the reason he is becoming so worked up,the look on her face when he witness her being abused still hunted his dreams,
"you are right mal-chin but I am sure noona has a reason for staying in that place,I have asked private investigators to investigate the Issue
"I may look patient mal chin but I am not",
Justin says sitting down beside the pool side of his house.
"just get her out of that family and I will ruin them , anything that affects noona affect me also", Justin says in anger remembering the once fracture elbow scan of Kim na-ra sister(Kim Soo-ra) which he kept on his mini office desk.
"mal-chin I need you to help me with something",
mal-chin felt angry for such a woman,a woman who keeps getting abused by the man who promises her till death do them apart,he remember meeting her once when she came to visit Justin years ago in the hospital,after Justin was admitted to the hospital when he tried killing himself,she was like a disney princess the first time he saw her he was just little then but back then she turned heads ,not to say she didn't turn heads now but she looks much older now,very fragile, though she wasn't anywhere near his 6ft but she would be at least 5ft tall,she looked so small,and her watchful eyes of fear,oh he wished Justin gave him the go ahead,he would have destroyed them all,but for now Justin is just the closest family Kim Soo-ra have got right now that know of her situation,he hid his wife at home telling lies that she is abroad so that he can freely visit his lover in the neighboring county and no one will question him for they all believe he is visiting his wife.
Going to work the first person that justin met at his doorstep was his mom ,Just about knotting his tie the doorbell to his home rang,the early morning maid Demit who comes to clean the house every morning was already around she was the one who opened the door for his mother on getting to the sitting room,Mrs Lee had Already made herself feel at home her her long time assistant beside her,Probably updating Mrs Lee on somethings concerning work
"What a pleasant surprise, i am surprised to see you here early this morning ,I am sure it is not to bring me a house warming gift"
"Is that how to welcome your mother Justin"
"My apologies i was just surprised that is all , have a seat ",
he gestures referring to Mrs Lee assistant,
this place is quite nice but needs more flowers how about my assistant to get some for you which will be delivered to your place tomorrow , Justin this place look like there is no life in it, i will send some maids over to your place tomorrow"
"mother Stop beating around the bush and tell me the real reason you are here "
"Okay then fine if you want it that way tomorrow we will be having a dinner meeting with hee-jin family,You know it has been quite some time since they have last seen you and since you are back we have not gotten the time to see each other"
"Well then mother It is good to know ,send my regards to them on your dinner tomorrow"
justin says standing back up ,Picking up his car keys Which he left on the table
"I don't think you are getting me right ,the meeting includes you, we all will be attending including you and you must make sure you attend"
"Is it necessary mother "
"Yes it is you know we have been doing business with them for so long ,Also you will be able to catch up with hee-jin"
"Why can't we just put all these meeting on hold,Your birthday is coming up soon so why can't we all just meet then instead of giving ourself this stress and headache"
"Justin this is not open for a debate that is final you must attend the meeting "
"what if i don't mother ,what will you do, i have told you not to keep me involved in all this business
"Do not forget son that your grandfather almost left half of his business for you , his properties were shared between you and his son Which is your father the remaining 20% mine"
"Mrs Lee nothing you say can change my mind,so you better find something else to tell them so you would not loose face"
" technically speaking this is your business , don't forget half of what we own was left to you by your grandfather,but your weak heart father let you fool around all the time ,Leaving us to do all the work you should have but it's all right ,and all that was because you were still schooling,but not anymore
Now justin let's go to the point it is either you come tomorrow or you don't and if you don't the consequences will be faced by you"
Justin could only walk off leaving his Mrs Lee behind
Justin watches from afar as mr lee shares a joke with the another businessmen alongside mr lee as they pay golf , finally strolling to where the two businessmen stood,
"Justin Justin boy it has been quite sometime",
the first businessman says giving Justin an handshake, smiling which Justin reciprocated good to see you again sir
"i can still remember that young nineteen years old man who strikes a deal with me hope you are still the same as then"
Justin could only smile at the second businessman waiting as they played golf,
as Justin sat beside his father in the car driving to Justin work place
"what do you think about the golf course,I am thinking of buying it"
"I think it will make a nice Investment"
"good,I like that spirit,the spirit of a successful businessman", after a few minutes of silence mr Lee spoke
"have your mother informed you of the little get together at our residence tomorrow"
"I will give you the same reply I gave her,I will not be attending"
"is that so boy, have you forgotten the promise you made me,when you asked for my help"
Justin recalls the previous day event when he went to in-su school before he could open the door,he overheard what those women were saying about noona and in-su saying she dumped her son in school just because she wanted to run after men,this got Justin so angry that he called me lee for help, asking him to send over meals from there restaurant in lunchboxes to in-su kindergarten, because to get a meal from their restaurant you need to have made order weeks before even in lunchboxes, promising that he owed his father one,and mr lee really did help him out infact he did more than Justin asked for, dispatching more workers than necessary just to deliver the meals creating a whole camp in front of the school.
the car finally stopping in front of the company. walking out of the car father and son were welcomed by the waiting workers.
