"This Is My Father!"
Lai Jiayi covered her mouth with her palm as she stared at her father's motionless body.
Not only these devices, but she also saw a hologram projector next to the glass box and a few cables connected to the patient's head.
His whole body was covered with cables and medical tools even when he's already inside a long transparent capsule.
Looking closer, the patient was also wearing a device to help him breathe on his face.
"T-that is...my father?" Lai Jiayi's voice was trembling as she asked without looking at Shen Jun.

"Okay, Jia'er, come here. This is the hologram, and once it's activated, you can talk with your father." The man lowered his head and continued, "He can't see you but can hear you."
"A-ah? W-what do you mean?"
"It means Mr. Lai's image projected by the hologram won't move at all and will look like a blind person, so please be prepared."

"O-okay…I get it.." Lai Jiayi gulped nervously as she stood still, waiting for the hologram to be activated.
The BIP BIP noise still disturbed her, but since her focus was on the hologram, she didn't really mind it.
[Be strong, quack...] Yaya suddenly spoke in a rather solemn tone.
'I'm afraid that Jiayi will break into tears once she sees his father hologram.'
[Mn...thanks Yaya…] Lai Jiayi answered weakly as she kept looking at the empty space in front of her.

But then, the girl couldn't cover her eyes for long as a figure of a middle-aged man wearing a uniform of construction workers appeared right in that space in front of Lai Jiayi.
The middle-aged man was wearing a yellow circle-shaped plastic helmet, hiding his short grey hair underneath.
His honey-colored eyes, similar to Lai Jiayi's eyes, blinked softly. His gaze looked so warm yet stern at the same time.
Sadly, it held a trace of emptiness, like that of blind people.
The old man had a wheat-color skin, looking like a sexy old man with a hint of aloofness. He looked majestic even though his slightly wrinkly face was covered by dirt here and there.
The baggy black dirty clothes he wore with many muds and dirt around it, couldn't hide his tall, towering figure. He might be as tall as Zhao Yang.
Not only that, but his shoulder also looked broad, and his chest was sturdy. His arms look muscular with those biceps and triceps.
He really looked like a dependable father figure.
"Dad…" Lai Jiayi's hoarse voice rang throughout the silent room. Her voice was so faint that it was covered by the loud BIP BIP noise in the room.
'This is my father!'
Lai Jiayi's breath stilled as the urge to cry overwhelmed her heart.
