"Quack!"

The girl kept hearing the knock. Clicking her tongue, she couldn't help but glance at the small window in front of the desk.

But the rain outside was too heavy. She couldn't see what the cause of the continuous knocking was.

"Ughhh...what's outside??" Enraged, Lai Jiayi finally decided to open the window for a bit to see what's outside.

She had just opened the window when suddenly a yellow shadow of something crashed to her at super fast speed.

BRAK!

"Gahhh!" Lai Jiayi screamed in shock, sensing something wet and cold, touching her chest.

The girl abruptly stood up and shook whatever crashed into her, but then the unknown object suddenly talked.

"Wait, wait! Don't throw me, quack!" A childish voice belonging to an AI rang throughout the room.

Lai Jiayi would believe that the voice belonged to an AI as it sounded somewhat unnatural and too high-pitched, but...

'What's with the duck noise??'

Stunned, the girl hurriedly looked down at her shirt. She saw a duck was using its beak to shamelessly stay hanging on her shirt.

The AI looked determined not to leave. However, its wet and drenched body made Lai Jiayi subconsciously grab it.

"I said– GO AWAY!"

In a second, the girl threw the AI to the wall until its beak pierced the wall.

BRAK!

"Waah!" The poor duck couldn't react in time. He was stuck to the wall.

Being hit like that, the AI's entire body instantly trembled in fear.

It slowly retracted its head and floated toward Lai Jiayi. The AI looked just like a pitiful drenched duck, but a pity, the girl, didn't soften her heart.

With a thunderous voice, Lai Jiayi shouted, "W-what are you?? What do you want??" She immediately took a few steps back and clenched her first.

"How do you get in??" The girl hurriedly put up her martial art stance, ready to hit the unknown AI who barged to her room.

Her heart slowly beats fast, knowing that something just entered her room, and it seemed like artificial intelligence—a highly advanced kind of robot.

'This AI...is suspicious!"

As if not detecting Lai Jiayi worry, the rubber duck flapped its wings and floated closer toward the girl's face.

He suddenly ranted, "Quack- Quack. I told you not to slap me!!"

The rubber duck's black eyes glared at Lai Jiayi were filled with fury. The duck really looked like a real rubber duck toy, if not for its voice.

Still, who cares?

Lai Jiayi didn't have any intention to let this strange thing escape.

'This AI might be another trick from those debt collectors!'

"Shut up! Just answer me first!"

the girl shouted, glaring back at the rubber duck floating a few inches in front of her nose, not feeling scared at all.

Confused by Lai Jiayi's behavior, the rubber duck now tilted its head. It talked in the voice of a young boy.

"Eh, you don't know? I thought you knew cuz you accepted that offer, quack!"

His 'quack' at the end successfully made Lai Jiayi want to slap the duck to death.

"What offer? I don't know anything! What are you? An AI? How do you get in??" Gritting her teeth, Lai Jiayi felt that something was wrong here, but she didn't show it on her face.

'What offer? I only got one, and that is the deal with the doctor! Could it be this AI is sent by that young doctor to monitor me so I won't go back on the deal?'

The girl couldn't help but think so.

Seeing that Lai Jiayi was really clueless, the rubber duck blinked its eyes and suddenly sighed.

It then used his internal heat machine to dry off his wet body before talking in a high-pitched voice.

"The game– quack! You accepted the game offer, don't you? Quack!"

The rubber duck AI didn't wait for Lai Jiayi's answer before blinking its eyes again.

A blue hologram suddenly appeared from its eyes.

"Mamma Mia!" The sudden appearance of the hologram scared Lai Jiayi to death.

She was just about to kick the duck out for scaring her like that when the girl suddenly noticed a familiar message box on the hologram.

Lai Jiayi's body went stiff as a thought flashed by.

'Eh, that...isn't that the message box popping on my phone screen?'

"Recognise this, quack?" the AI asked again in an excited voice.

'Finally, she recognizes the message!'

The AI stared at Lai Jiayi, waiting for her answer.

Lai Jiayi nodded with a gulp and said, "It's...the sudden mysterious message I got in my phone…" The girl bit her nail as she tried to figure out what's going on.

'The message talks about a game, but I don't see any game installed on my phone?'

"Good, you remember, quack! Now open your phone, quack! I'm sure the game is already installed, qua– "

The duck had just about to quack again when Lai Jiayi suddenly glared at it with maximum killing intent.

"If you say quack again, believe me, I'll turn you to a roasted duck." Lai Jiayi's voice was so cold and sounded super irritated that the AI couldn't help but shut up.

Imaginary tears appeared on its large black eyes as if feeling aggrieved.

'Why is my master so cold? Meanie! Big meanie!'

Lai Jiayi took a deep breath seeing the AI stopped talking. "Okay, you say I should check my phone..." the girl spoke in a rather annoyed tone.

"Y-yes, check it now, qua– meow…"

Rolling her eyes, Lai Jiayi cursed in her heart.

'...IDIOT!! This AI is the dumbest I ever saw!'

Lai Jiayi wanted to kick the AI away but restraining her anger, the girl just quietly sighed and decided to ignore the duck. She chose to take her phone from the box and turned it on instead.

Once her phone was turned on...indeed...she found a game installed there!

'But...what is this?? What is this game??'
