The main event started and everyone went back to their tables Bella wanted Layla to sit with them but she refused" I'm sorry I can't stay I have to go back to Nathan and mom would be waiting for me but I promise to get in touch." she said and left

' what did she mean by mom her mother was already dead ' they wondered who she was referring to was it Clara . When she got to their table Nathan and Clara were shocked to see her ." hey honey why are you here you are supposed to be bonding with your family " Clara said which Nathan also agreed

"don't worry mom I came here with you guys I can't just stay away like that besides they gave me their contacts I just need to get a phone that's all "Layla replied and she saw smiles on their face .They were happy she came to sit with them that means she acknowledges them as her family.

She kissed Nathan on the cheek before taking her sit next to him the latter was surprised by that act and was also happy she was claiming him as hers publicly only if she knew what that little action of hers did to him.

He looked at her and smiled her heart skipped a beat she has started warming up to him she looked away blushing. The event started as the host came forward making his speech then they went through the next events for the evening without any drama taking place . Later in the evening the event came to an end and people trouped out of the venue laughing, talking about business,family and their social class gossip.

The Blake's, Zhao's, and Hauser's came out together to bid themselves ye for the day .Mr Hauser (David's father) was happy to know Bella was Layla's cousin already he still had a chance of pushing the towards her . Layla was about to enter the Blake's car when Amelia called out to her "dearie why don't you follow us home don't worry Clara we promise to bring her back before noon tomorrow " she said looking at mostly Nathan and Clara hoping they will accept .Nathan didn't say anything he only looked at his aunt and she knew the decision was hers .

Clara :"well it's up to Layla actually,she should decide and I won't mind you taking her after all you are her real family"

Amelia was already full of smiles she thought Clara was trying to keep her niece all to her herself but she didn't know Layla was the one who didn't want to live .After saying that they all looked to Layla expectantly in silence,it took her a few seconds to notice they were waiting for her decision.

Layla: " Umm… auntie I would really love to stay with you guys . Mum thanks for giving the decision to me and taking me in as your own.You loved and cared for me in the short time I have been with and made feel what it's like to have a real family" Everyone was feeling emotional they had tears their eyes and she continued "honestly I don't know where to stay because I want to be you Bel and at the same time I don't want to live Nathan alone I want to stay with him ."

This declaration of hers left everyone dumbfounded they looked at with shock on their faces and as if she had grown two heads .Nathan recovered from his shock late but he was thinking she thought about him while making her decision that meant she cared about him and his company she also said she likes staying with him but he didn't want to be selfish she just met her family and should spend more time with them including he and Clara because she would soon be going for her college .

Nathan: " it's ok honey you can go with them I will be fine I only need one thing from you"

Layla: "Are you sure " she asked with a worried gaze and he nodded his head signalling positively . She gave a sad smile she didn't want to leave him "ok so what do you need " she asked remembering his condition . Their families and friend looked at them both with happy faces and lovely eyes the duo was a Ying all lovey dovey .

Nathan moved closer to moving the strand of her hair that disturbed him from observing and taking in her facial features her breath hitched when his fingers tips slightly brushed her cheeks she really wanted to hug him and inhale his manly scent but she controlled herself .She down at her feet trying to escape his gaze but he immediately held her chin and tipped her head up making her look at him and when their gaze locked and she was lost in his eyes. He looked at her and didn't want to let her go she was just to precious .

He lowered his head to the point that their noses brushed making her to subconsciously close her eyes waiting for him to kiss but he only gave her a light peck on her cheek and moved back .She shot her eyes open and looked at him disappointment was writing on her face .He saw it through her furrowed brows and straightened them with his thumb and a low chuckle erupted from him making her frown more and she left his embrace.

He was laughing at her how dare he she wasn't going to talk to him for weeks her aunt looked at her then at Nathan. The big guy had plans for her and she saw it she was happy for her niece the lovely girl was in good and safe hands now her brother and his wife could rest in peace .

They greeted each other bye retiring for the night with everyone noticing the cold shoulder Layla gave Nathan and he knew why she was that way .She tried escaping from him by greeting Clara and swiftly passing by him into the car but unfortunately he caught her by her arm and turned her around before she could scream ' holy shit ' he had her in his arms with her clutching on his like her life depended on it and his lips on hers tasting every part of it .
