Chapter 9: My Manga and Comic Collection
Adonis and Natasha Head back to the factory they were kidnapped in. It was located in a swap area with lots of trees surrounding the area. Completely secluded.
"Before we head, the plan is to get our bodies back and leave them somewhere. Our parents and other family members should know that we technically are dead." Adonis says.
Natasha face saddens
"I can't even stand to think about how my parents will take the news." Natasha said, putting her hands in her face.
"I know, the messed up part of it is that we aren't even technically dead. But we can never expose our current selves to them. We are in a completely different world than they are now." Adonis said
Adonis goes in and tries to hug Natasha and she jumps before accepting his embrace.
As they pull away they both smile at each other nervously
"Yea this is weird, the way you look at me is the same but the way you smell is so different." Natasha says.
"Smell? Does this guy stink?" Adonis said, smelling himself.
"No, just the natural smell you give off and your eyes, they're so different from what they used to be,'' Natasha said with a flush face looking away.
"Yea I feel the same way but didn't want to say. The way you speak is the same but your voice is so different from what I'm used to. I miss it to be honest. Adonis admitted.
Natasha looks up at him quickly.
"You liked my voice? I never knew that." Natasha said with excitement.
"Mhm see mother my voice did get me a man." Natasha thought.
"Yea, I never said anything because it's a weird compliment." Adonis said
"Anyways this is what I was wanting to show you" Adonis said approaching a nearby tree.
As Adonis touches the tree it starts to weather away and the only thing that remained was a small pillar of salt.
As Adonis was absorbing the tree he felt his thirst lessen.
"This helped my thirst a little but I didn't get the feeling you talked about earlier." Adonis said.
Natasha binds down and looks at the small pillar of salt where the tree used to be.
"What's up with the salt? Do trees even have salt?" Natasha said
"You tell me, Miss science women." Adonis I says
Natasha rolls her eyes.
"Medical doctors study the inter-verse not the outer-verse. The human body does contain salt; a 110 pound person has around 40 teaspoons. But that's not like table salt. There are a variety of different salts in the body as a whole." Natasha said getting up.
"Nerd" Adonis said in a low voice.
"We have super hearing now dummy and you're a nerd too, always reading," Natasha said as she flicked Adonis's forehead.
"My manga and comic collection!!! No my life's work!" Adonis says dramatically.
"I doubt your dad will throw them away, he'll probably give them to your cousin."
"Nathan? What!! Not that even worse we have been competing to see who can create the best one and with mine added to his he'll be a god of Manga and comics. That title rightfully belongs to me." Adonis says dramatically again.
"Ugh we get it, I'm about to try this tree thing you've been talking about." Natasha says approaching a nearby tree.
Natasha absorbs the tree and it is designated the same way when Adonis did it.
"Mhmm, there is no salt? I wonder why that is? Don't we have the same abilities? Natasha said, confused.
"I thought we did. Maybe it's a different type of absorption" Adonis says.
As they were about to head inside they heard voices from a distance heading towards the factory.
"What's that smell? It smells like . . . A wet dog." Natasha says covering her Nose
