61 Special Examinees

The Seeker Association Headquarters of Polaspe City is a broad and spacious place.

It was created to accommodate tides upon tides of hopeful examinees who want to become a Seeker; thus, its immense size can be seen on its plaza alone.

Inside the actual association, there are many training facilities and underground are where the scouting and information trade happens.

The upper floors, mainly the third to the tenth floor of the association building is a mystery and are said to be dealing with the rankings of both Seekers and the missions.

"Good morning."

"Oya, what is it, young man?"

"Um, might I take this route? I need to head to the Amphitheater for Special Examination."

"Oh, you're one of them? You must be the last of the four. Come and follow, the rest have already arrived."

"Thank you."

The one I spoke to just now was the receptionist of the Main Table. She is the one who oversees the entrees as to who will go to the amphitheater for the Special Examination.

The Receptionist would usually be a beautiful woman with big breasts to attract people. Still, in bigger headquarters such as this, the ones overlooking the operations of the Main Table (Reception Area) would be those who are wise and trusted within the association.

I went over the Main Table, and on the back, there's a door that leads to a hidden path only the Main Receptionist knows.

Special Examinations are given to only the most elite of bloodlines that still exists after the reformation of the four continents.

This is the Titan Continent of Thalius, and I expect to see some strong bloodline wielder. Are there people as strong as Van, I wonder?

"What is in your mind? Xir?"

A pleasantly annoying voice echoed from behind me. Aria stared at me with great intent, her face shows not that emotion, but I can tell her intensity.

Her orders are clear and direct, she has to learn more about me and report everything to the association. But…quite frankly she sucks at it.

I reckon she's supposed to be discreet in this matter, but that can't be any far from how she acts. A minor shift in my expression results in her asking what I am thinking, and the subtlest sight of me thinking makes her wonder what it is that I am thinking.

She has no sense of tact and asks me what she wants to know. In other words, she's like me but worst.

How can you be so much worse in reading the moon than someone like me? I wonder, just what kind of place did you grow up in, and why the hell did they send you to me?

I want to ask that I can't so, I can only say what it is that is needed to be said.

"I am thinking about if I'll meet someone interesting."

Scritch! Scratch!

I can hear you taking notes. Why can't she just record a voice line to make things simple? Technology is there for convenience, why aren't you using it?

This right here is the moment that I finally understood that I don't understand Aria in the slightest.

But it matters, not for her presence to me is still useful. Her presence alone wards off pesky eyes from Blue Crown, that's good enough.

"Examinee Xiron, we are here already. Take an empty seat and don't bother any of the other examinees while you wait for the proctor of your examination."

"I understand."

I entered the amphitheater and took a seat. Raising my head, I can see the sun and the blue skies, but I already know that's fake and are using illusions. We are most likely underground.

Looking around, there are three examines, excluding me. Across me was a man wearing a black shirt and pants. His face was handsome, and he was taller than I despite sitting down.

His skin color was the same as brass, and his muscles were taut and perfectly well defined. With his black hair combed backward, a majestic feeling exuded out of him. He was a man of a good breed I supposed.

While I was observing him, he noticed my gaze, and he silently nodded his head and acknowledged my presence. I did the same as a sign of courtesy.

"Are you interested in him, Xir?"

Aria asked, casually asked me. I nodded my head in response to her question.

"Only those with special circumstances can take this examination. They may become someone with an interesting future, so I must take note of them early on."

"Then I shall proceed on briefing you on who they are. The one you were looking at is the Scion of the Dogma Family, Draken Dogma, thirteen years old. His father is the General of the Eastern Front. He had already reached the pinnacle of Platinum-Grade and is waiting to become Diamond-Grade soon. He's a master Martial Arts, and as for the element can even use the elements to help him fight. He has Nine Martial Channels. His bloodline ability lets him conjure any weapon of any material present."

Dogma family, I will take note of that. Aria proceeded to point to the man seated on the left of the spectators' seat. It was someone who resembled a regular human.

Height wise, he's about 6'0" and his muscles are not as prominent as a Titan's. But Dwarves is one of the only races that can match the strength of a Titan.

Their muscle may seem feeble, but that's only because they are compact. But their powers pack a punch nonetheless.

Dwarves are also immune to fire as they have evolved to handle the flames of the furnace. It can be argued that Dwarves are the strongest if they are combat-oriented.

"The one over there is Sullivan Feryal, fourteen years old, someone from the Continent of Mistral, the Continent of Dwarves. He's a Combat Mage who specializes in both long-range and hand-to-hand combat.

"His father is the CEO of Golden Cavern who specializes in manufacturing weapons used at the borders and by both the Seekers and the Rankers. His bloodline ability lets him create an artificial Mage Channel, making him one of the rarest people in all four continents. With his ten Mage Channels, he had already reached Diamond-Grade at such an age, and he is expected to become a Ranker in five years.

Sullivan Feryal…he's dangerous.

As I stared at Sullivan, he also noticed me, and he gave me a sneer as he looked away in contempt. He's a talent and has a troublesome attitude, I shouldn't get on his bad side. These guys are the ones that are difficult to deal with.

Lastly, Aria pointed towards the last one. Bearing dark brown skin, long silver hair, and long ears, it was clear she was a Dark Elf…or also known as the Sacred Death Elves.

"Name: Helia, Age: unknown, Association: Elven Continent [Reverie]. Someone with a mysterious background, her data was concealed by the Association, and she arrived here a week prior. Her reason for coming here is unknown. But considering she's a Death Elf, she's one of the most revered figures in the Elven Continent, I'm sure."

Helia, someone I do not know nor comprehend.

Like the rest, she also noticed my gaze and turned to my direction. She locked eyes with me, and for some reason, I was drawn to her.

At this time, I have yet to know that our fates are intertwined.
