Chapter 52

It was a couple of days ago, before Ana's death as Abe and Ana were walking together on the campus, while there was a family together talking having fun. Ana watched them as Abe noticed her looking that them.

"Do you wish mother and father were still around?" Abe asked.

"Don't you?" Ana asked.

"Yeah. But you know, they did die upholding their duty." Said Abe.

"Well, I'm glad I have you. I forget how cute you look, Ham." Said Ana as she hugged Abe.

"Ana! I'm not cute. And not in public. Plus, I'm a man." Said Abe.

"Others would think otherwise." Said Ana.

"Don't remind me." Said Abe as Ana giggled.

"Don't worry. I bet in a year or two, you'll look more mature. But you should try cutting your hair or something." Said Ana.

"Maybe that'll help. But can I ask you something?" Abe asked.

"Sure." Ana replied.

"How can you fight without being scared? I wish I can get over this fear and not have a panic attack." Said Abe.

"Who said I'm not afraid?" Said Ana.

"The way you act says a lot." Said Abe.

"Well, at this point. I'm not afraid as I use to be. There's still some fear. But what pushed me was the fear of someone else getting hurt. Or any of my teammates. Death is something I want to avoid happening. I rather get hurt myself than anyone else. Abe, you will get over it. Or at the very least find something or someone who can push you. I promise you that. You are a Van Helsing after all. Anything I can do; you can do as well." Said Ana.

But everything fades to black as Abe was the only thing in the darkness. He was lying on the ground as he looked hurt. But he started to get back up on his feet, slowly.

"You were such a good sister to me, Ana. And I hate the fact that it was you who die, instead of me. Because you can do anything, while me. I'm worthless. But…I believed what you said to me all those times. And I won't…no, I will not let those words be in vain. Even Lilith is able to face that monster! I'm tired of being so damn weak and have others fight for me! I won't standby anymore!" Said Abe as he stood up.

"You can't do it." Said a voice in his head.

"You're not strong." Said the voice.

"You'll die." Said the voice.

"You'll just be in the way." Said the voice.

"SHUT UP! I'm going to kick this bastards ass for killing her and for what he did to Lilith! I won't let my fear ever hold me back ever again!" Abe yelled.

Abe's life force burst as it surprised Bram, until he bolted up to him and uppercut him in the stomach. He knocked the wind out of him as Abe grabbed his face with both hands and kneed him the face. Abe then stood in a kickboxing stance that was the same as Ana's. He then kicked twice with the same leg and spin back heel kicked Bram in the face, knocking him far away.

"I'm going to make you regret for what you did to my sister and Lilith!" Abe yelled.

Lilith watched with a surprised look as Abe looked different to her.

"Abe…" Said Lilith.

Abe then ran to Bram as he swung his chains at him. Abe dodged them by jumping up in the air as the chains hit the ground. Abe then swung his fist down at Bram, but he caught his hand with his left hand. Bram then turned to his side, hurled him over and slammed him down onto the ground. He pins Abe on the ground with his hand as his left claws were about to thrust down into his chest. But we see Van grabbed onto his arm, stopping him. Abe quickly throws dirt into Bram's eyes, forcing him to remove his hand on him. Abe and Van then punched Bram together in the face as they both knocked him back. He slid a few feet as stopped himself by clawing his feet claws onto the ground. Van and Abe stood ready, but Van glanced at Abe for a second as he noticed his life force was stronger compared to his and Ana's. But his life force went away as he already had exhausted himself and fell on one knee. Van then flashes back as we see a young Van in an office room in the Van Helsing home in Salem. And in front of him were Ana and Abe's parents, Albert and Ellen Van Helsing. In Ellen's arms was baby Abe, while Ana was playing with a dob stuff animal. She then showed it to Van as he smiled and looked at it.

"Doggy." Said Ana.

"Wow, is he your dog guard? Does he protect your room from the mean monsters?" Van asked.

"Mm-hm. He's a strong doggy. Ruff-ruff!" Said Ana.

"I bet he is. Ana is so cute. She reminds me when you were little Ellen." Said Van.

"Well, she does take after me." Said Ellen.

"But what's up? Why did you both call me here?" Van asked.

"We're going on a dangerous mission, Van. One that, may cost us our lives." Said Albert.

"And you want me to be their guardian, huh?" Van asked with a serious tone.

"Yes." Albert replied.

"Is there a way to avoid this mission?" Van asked.

"No. You know how bad this Arthon problem is. The hunters need their best. And you haven't gotten used to that body yet." Said Ellen.

"Van, we just want to make sure that you'll look after them. And to let them know that we love them. Since these two are a new and stronger generation of Van Helsing, unlike any other. I know for sure that one day, they will be hunted down. I just hope they are ready for that day." Said Albert.

"But we know you'll make sure that'll be ready." Said Ellen as everything went black.

"But they weren't. And I failed as a guardian. I helped raise those two. Ana showed promise, while Abe didn't. And I didn't want to push him, because I want him to go at his own pace. But that was a mistake on my end. And then Ana died…that tore my heart apart. I watched her grow from a little girl to a strong young lady. And I failed her…and all I have is Abe. I don't plan on letting him died!" Said Van.

Van then opened his eyes as he bolted to Bram and punched Bram with full life force on Bram as his heat energy emitted out of him, making his hair stand up a bit. Van then threw power blows to Bram's face as they made strong shockwave through the air as Van was relentless.

"I will make you pay for what you did to her! I'll end you with my bare hands!" Van yelled.

But Bram then stopped Van's right fist and then left as then twisted his wrists broken. Van groaned in pain as Bram forced him on his knees, while Abe tried getting back to help.

"No! Leave him alone!" Abe yelled.

But Bram fired a hellfire blast at his face, knocking him back into the front entrance's staircase. Lilith ran to check on him, while Bram placed his hands on Van's chest and sunk his claws through his skin. Van groaned from the pain as Bram slowly sunk his claws deeper and deeper as the claws were burning his skin.

"I'm going to slowly grip your chest bone, tear it out and eat your heart." Said Bram.

"Van…stop it…!" Abe cried as he tried getting back up.

Bram kept going as Van was in excruciating pain, until they all heard the shot of gun. They all then saw Bram let go of Van as he fell on his back. He was bleeding as he placed his hand on his wound as Bram yelled out in pain. The bullet wound in his head was burning him as we see someone walked down the front entrance's staircase with something glowing with light. Abe and Lilith watch with surprise and relief as we then see Isaac with his pistol in his left hand and Shinken, powered with Excalibur's light energy.

"Bram, let's end this. Once and for all." Said Isaac.

We see the others holding their own against their opponents as they were reaching their limits. But we see Isaac approaching Bram with Shinken enhanced with Excalibur's light magic energy as the blade was pure white with a thin yellow aura. Isaac took his kendo stance, while reinforcing his body and strength with life force energy. Bram quickly swung his chains at Isaac as he swung his sword and sliced them into pieces. Bram was shocked as Isaac bolts up to at a fast speed, but Isaac over did it as he slid pass Bram.

"Damn!" Isaac thought to himself as he regain balance.

"I see, you're not used to that power, huh?" Bram asked with a smirk on his face.

"Maybe." Said Isaac.

Bram then roared out hellfire from his mouth to Isaac. But Isaac did a basic vertical strike as his swings made the hellfire blow away. Isaac then bolted to Bram again and thrust his sword into his chest and then swung upwards to his right shoulder, leaving a large gap. Bram yelled in pain, but he grabbed Isaac's face with his left hand and trying to crush his head. But Bram got shot in the back of both his legs as he falls onto his knees. It was Van as he fired his rifle at his legs as he cocked his gun. Isaac then sliced his left arm off with Shinken and then swung at his neck. But Bram leaned back as Shinken missed his neck. Isaac was about to strike again, but Bram burst with hellfire as it's intense heat forced Isaac back. Bram grabbed his chains and started to swing them around as they were red hot and cutting through the ground or whatever was in its way. Isaac dodged the chains, while the others took cover. Isaac tried getting closer, but his heat was too much as the chains nicked him on his face, arm, legs and body.

"Like I'll let you kill me that goddamn easy!" Bram yelled.

"Damn it, I can't get through." Said Isaac.

"Isaac!" Jennifer shouted.

Jennifer held her hand out to Isaac as she covered him in magic knight armor. It fully covered him as Jennifer fell on one knee, exhausted as Isaac held Shinken ready. Bram had regenerated, but not completely, until Isaac ran towards him and released a powerful slashing wave on Bram's chest. But he returned by hurled powerful punches on Isaac as they made his armor crack. Isaac slide back as Bram held his hand up in the air as he made all of his hellfire to form into a giant death ball of condensed fire.

"I'm going to burn all of you to hell!" Bram shouted.

Isaac and the others were shocked as everyone paused as even Richards team knew that would kill or hurt them as well.

"You idiot! Stop!" Tanya yelled.

"Retreat!" Vladimir shouted.

They all did so the others could only watch as they were tired, while Regina had panic look.

"What is he? A galactic emperor!?" Regina shouted.

"Everyone get to cover!" Van yelled.

They all tried to run off, while Bram laughed manically. But Isaac didn't run as he didn't look afraid, while everything around him quiet down for Isaac.

"Take me up…" Said Isaac as he tightly gripped Shinken.

Suddenly, Isaac was covered in light magic energy as Jennifer's armor went away. His eyes glowed as he closed them and focused all of the energy he could conjure into Shinken's blade as the blade turned into a Odachi or a longsword.

"And cast…ME…OUT!" Isaac yelled.

Isaac swung down with all of his might and released a vertical giant wall like wave at Bram as it cut him and split the forest in half. Bram was split in half, until Isaac bolted up to him, gripping his sword tightly and then started to swing light speed strikes. Cutting and slicing Bram multiple times and turning him into pieces, while staying intact. Until Isaac stopped and swung Shinken to his right as the blade went away. Bram was frozen from fear as Isaac then pulled out his hand cannon, while filling light energy into one of the bullet sockets.

"In truth, I was going to cut you head off and end it there. But after what you've done and done to others. You deserve to far worse! You deserve to be erased from this world. Forever. So turned to dust and ash. And pray that you never see me again. Which I high doubt you'll see anyone ever again." Said Isaac.

Isaac then fired his hand cannon as it fired a powerful blast into Bram's head. His head was shot off as it turned him to dust as well as his body. It scattered into the wind as everything was quiet for a long second. Lucy and Emilio looked at each other as they both surprise, while Lucy became emotion and cried.

"We did it…Yeah!" Lucy shouted with joy, throwing herself to Emilio.

"Mm." Emilio nodded.

"He's dead. He's actually dead." Said Abe as he teared up.

Van and the others were relieved as everyone regrouped, while Vladimir, Tanya, Santiago, Adriana and Kanika regrouped together. But they were already leaving as they didn't look upset, besides Kanika as she was biting her fingernails.

"We'll let them have this one." Said Vladimir.

"It's not a total loss. Bram did kill a lot of Van Helsing members for us." Said Santiago.

"Yeah, but without him there's not a lot of monsters who can kill the elite members of the Van Helsing family." Said Tanya.

"Things will be fine once he comes back. So there's nothing to worry about." Said Adriana.

"Ugh, I'm going to make that bitch pay for humiliating me!" Kanika yelled.

"Oh, yeah. She totally kicked your ass." Said Tanya.

"Silence, peasant!" Kanika yelled.

"Enough! Let's head back." Said Vladimir.

"Why don't we try to kill them now?" Santiago asked.

"Do you want to face Richard's brother? He maybe human and unable to use Excalibur. But he found a way to draw it's magic. That makes him more of a threat than ever." Said Vladimir.
