First contact

For the very first time in years Aura felt an immeasurable excitement and thirst for knowledge. These were new lifeforms! Formed completely without any outside intervention and with their own technological developments as well. She couldn´t wait to start the interrogation, excuse me, conversation with the one who appears to be the captain now standing in front of her.

San´Shyuum captain POV

In front of me was a forerunner. At 4 meters tall her form was majestic and awe inspiring yet she seemed to move too perfectly for a person. Every movement was optimized and minimalized, almost like that of a machine.

"Greetings, I am the monitor of installation 07. I am 729 Disciplined Aura."

What? How does she know our language? Even though her pronounciation isn´t perfect and she sounds like she has a heavy accent she spoke in perfect sentences. It makes sense that she´d now any language but why is a number in her name?

"Hello I am Tem´ah´ben the captain of this expedition, may I ask a question?"

"Sure ask away, I too am curious about your species as this is the first time in 1749 years that I have spoken to a member of your species, it also seems there has been minor evolution among you people, my records will have to adjusted later."

"What are you? While you look like a forerunner you have a number with your name and your movements are too perfect to be a living being."

"Yes it should self evident by my identification that I am in fact an ancilla and that this body is synthesized. May I know why these self evident facts were missed by you?"

"What does ancilla mean might I ask?

"An ancilla is a forerunner artificial intelligence, I as a sub-metarch class ancilla and monitor of installation 07 am bested in authority and power by the Librarian 000 Tragic Solitude and any Monarch class ancilla excluding Mendicant Bias. Do you have any other questions?"

"Why would you help us? You have nothing to gain from this."

"That is not true, I wish to learn the state of your civilisation and 2 of my situational directives activated, the first one being I should gather as much information as possible when the situational risk is acceptable, with the second one being that I may use a Lifeworker ship to respond to any distress signal within my halo´s firing range." said Aura while looking like a child that is excited to get treats.

"You seem incredibly excited about this for some reason."

"Wouldn´t that be only natural? Your planet has developed quite a bit and I look forward to studying the changes in your society along with your level of technological development when we finish talking."

"Might I ask how you plan on doing this?"

"Obviously I shall land on the free space near the most populated area on the surface and then descend further with this body, you and your crew in your repaired craft, which i´ve taken the liberty to modify while we were talking."

"Tank you for the honor of entrusting us forerunner technology."

"No need if the ecumene still existed you would´ve gotten it anyways and while you may not be reclaimers it doesn´t matter if I help just a little bit."

"May we go to the surface now?"

"Yes I believe it is time to move our conversation to what administrative buildings your race has to offer as i´d imagine this is quite an important matter for them."
