Spending three gold coins

Arriving at the spear section of the store, the attendant spoke, "There are all the spears we have at the moment." She said, then smiled before leaving the two to consider what they would buy. "Please call me over when you have decided."

"Alright." Uriel smiled and then turned around towards Jay when the attendant walked away to help another group of people that had just walked inside the store.

"Why spears, though?" Jay asked. "I wanted to maybe get a sword."

"Why cuz they look cool?" Uriel asked with a scoff. "You don't have to lie since that's most of the people's reasons."

"Y-yea…" Jay nodded.

"Spears that had been given the title the king of weapons. It surely does deserve its title as the king of weapons." Uriel then went along with her explanation. "Unlike the sword, with the spear, you're able to hit the head, torso, and leg with extreme ease with its long range, and if used right, you can beat people to the group without using the spearhead. Not to mention the fact that you're able to throw the weapon with deadly precision if thrown correctly. That's why I'm getting you a spear."

"But swords are also pretty good." Jay tried to add.

"Master… do you remember your main class? The jack of all trades? It was the one my future self has given to you."

"Yea, I do remember." Jay nodded.

"Then you should be aware that you would be able to learn both the spear and sword with ease."

"Oh, that's right, but I don't know how far my main class is going to take me," Jay spoke.

"Yes, that's why we're only going along with spearman ship right now."

"Well, whatever you say." Jay sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Since you're the expert, you chose, but that being said, isn't these all expensive?"

The spears displayed up on the wall all had looks of good quietly, with their unique patterns engraved into the spears.

"Yes, but it doesn't matter much. I just need two spears for you, one for combat and the other one for training."

"Wait, training?" Before Jay could ask more about that topic, Uriel called over the attendant.

The attendant was bowing to a group of customers goodbye. After seeing the prices of the weapons inside the shop, they immediately decided to leave.

"Yes…!" She comes running towards Uriel, not wanting to keep a customer waiting.

"I would like you to prepare two spears. A spear from your choice and this training spear." Uriel said and pointed at a spear on the wall. "But I want heavier training spear."

"A-a heavier training spear…?" The attendant stuttered as she refused to believe what Uriel said.

"Yes, you heard me. Bring me your heaviest one." Uriel spoke. "And also four of your heaviest deep sea turtle peral bracelets."

"Ah… yes." The attendant said then ran off into the storage room to retrieve the items Uriel requested.

She then exited the storage room with a long wooden case on her right arm covered with strange papers stuck onto the case. And on her right arm was a small wooden box covered with the same strange papers.

"Here are the items you requested." The attendant said as she passed on the items to Uriel

"Thank you."

"You can also grab a spear that you would like." The attendant said in a huff as she was in a lack of breath. Then Uriel reached forward with her right hand and grabbed a spear with an unknown gray metal as its spearhead and was rather sharp. Also, with dark wood as its handle. Since Uriel had immediately picked the weapon, it looked as if she randomly grabbed a spear that looked useful.

"You would like that one?" The attendant questioned.

"Yes, and that would be it." Uriel nodded in satisfaction.

"Then the total would total to three gold coins." The attendant said, causing a cold sweat to drip down the sides of Jay's cheeks.

Jay had done his research before he bought his headset, so he knew how much a gold coin was worth.

In this world, coins were the universal currency with wood, bronze, silver, gold, and white stars coins. Wood coins were the least valuable as they came in at a worth of a dollar, but with a hundred wooden coins, you would be able to trade them for a single bronze coin.

Bronze coins would be a hundred dollars; then, ten bronze coins would make up one silver coin, meaning one silver coin equals a thousand dollars.

It was from here on out that things got interesting. Ten silver coins would be worth a gold coin which would be ten thousand dollars. Unlimitedly a white star coin would value a hundred thousand dollars.

But as of right now, that wasn't things that regular players would even think about. All they could do was open chests only to revive one or two wooden coins. Unless there were willing to spend so much money on a newly released game, there was no chance they could see things at stores this early in the game.

So instead, everyone was busy either talking to NPC for a new quest or entering low-level dungeons to level up.

Nevertheless, when the attendant said that it would all cost three gold coins in total, Jay was on the verge of passing out due to shock. It was three gold coins! That was worth thirty thousand dollars! Just imagine what he could do with that much money!

In spite of all that, Uriel reached down to a little pouch located on her left waist and took out three gold coins in a graceful manner, seemingly indifferent to spending so much money.

"Why are you spending so much money?" Jay finally asked. He just couldn't get over the fact that they just spent thirty thousands of dollars on an in-game item!

"Well, it's not even mine. It's Julie's." Uriel scoffed as it wasn't her problem. "Master, if it's beneficial to you, then I would do my very best to make it possible."

"It that so…" Jay mumbled as he watched Uriel take the cases from the attendant and then pass her the three gold coins in return.

"Can you put these in your inventory, Master?" Uriel asked as she turned around towards Jay.

"Huh? How do I do that?"

"Just think of the word inventory."

Following Uriel's directions, a blue screen revealed itself in front of Jay. Though this was only something Jay could see as the player, for some reason, Uriel was also able to see the blue screen. Maybe it was because she was an angel or a high entity.

She then threw everything towards the blue screen, causing the attendant's eyes to widen as she wasn't able to see the screen.

As she squinted her eyes, waiting for the ideas to crash onto the ground, the attendant slowly reopened her eyes when she didn't hear anything.

When Uriel had thrown the items at the screen, a small crack opened up in thin air and sucked up the items like a vacuum.

[Inventory space: 3/20]

"Pleasure doing business with you." Uriel smiled at the bewildered attendant, who was still looking around places where Uriel could have hidden the items she had just bought. Maybe it was some sort of space storage magic?

"Ahhh, yes." The attendant nodded and bowed to both Jay and Uriel as they left the shop.

While again walking down the streets of the town, Uriel spoke up. "We're going to immediately start training."

"What do you mean? Why would I want to train when I can have fun?" Jay muttered.

"You will soon realize that the blessing my future self has given you is more of a curse," Uriel said with a serious expression. "We don't have any time to waste, so trust me and follow me, Master."

'A curse?' Jay thought with an unpleasant look on his face. 'She doesn't look like she's messing with me, and it would be suspicious of me if I didn't follow her words. She will start wondering if I'm the real hero if I say no to her on training.'

As Uriel started pulling on Jay's wrist, a man and woman stopped the two from going anywhere. It was indeed the two who were stalking Uriel and Jay from the very beginning.
