John looked at his stats in surprise, he had not really checked them since he started this because he was so focused on learning all the basic weapon mastery and he also wanted it to be a surprise. 

"So overall I gained thirteen levels, so that's thirteen points in each stat." 

"Hmm, my ATP is strange, why is it laid out like that?" John wondered out loud before he focused on it.

"Ah so that's why, well I will have to return the crossbow in a moment so it will drop back down, but it's fine that job is done, and I can report my success later." 

John turned around and headed over to Giz'riner who was looking at him with a big smile while all the other trainers who were also smiling stood behind him. 

"HAHA kid you did it, you're the first person to ever complete the training in all weapons in Yesta Village congratulations." Giz'riner said before laughing out loud as the other trainers also started to congratulate him. 

"Thank you very much I could not have done it without your help, here is the crossbow back."

"The mayor?" John asked, surprised. 

"Yup he's heard about your success here and apparently he wants you to help with something."

"Thanks again for your help Giz'riner, can you tell me where to find the mayor?" 

"Don't mention it lad it was my pleasure and be sure to stop by again when you have time, the mayor can be found in his house normally, it's the biggest one in the center of the village." 

"Thanks bye." John said while waving and leaving the Weapons Hall. 

Once outside he turned towards the center of the village and set out to find the mayor's house wondering what this was about. 

Everything he had read online about the mayor quest that would let you leave the village and go to your continent's capital city said that the player had to seek out the mayor themselves, nothing he read said anything about a player being given a quest to meet the mayor because he wanted help. 

As he made his way through the village he looked around and saw different individuals going about their business. 

He saw groups of players leaving on an adventure face filled with excitement and those returning either boasting from triumph or looking worse for wares after a defeat. 

He saw players entering and leaving shops while other players would haggle with the npc stall owners that lined the side of the street. 

He passed by the inn and heard the laughter of npc's and players as they took a break from adventuring and daily life to drink. 

Eventually John made it to the village square where tens of players stood in small groups shouting out for individuals to come join their party so they could level together and complete quests easier. 

As John passed them by, they looked at him, but then, seeing he was still dressed in the starter clothes everyone got, they scoffed and ignored him to try elsewhere. 

John shook his head at their attitude and went towards the largest house before knocking on the door. 

"Wait, is that noob seriously going straight to the mayor's house when he has just started?" 

"Talk about confidence." 

"More like stupid, the mayor quest may not be that hard, but you still need to be at least level five and have a weapon and some decent gear." 

"Well, I guess the noob will learn the hard way then." 

John could hear people talking about him behind his back, but he just ignored them until the door opened and what greeted him was a Faun. 

Yes, it was a male Faun with the lower body of a goat, the upper body of a human and rams' horns on his head. 

He looked to be getting on a bit because his hair was starting to go gray. 

The Faun looked John up and down before wrinkling his nose and saying. 

"Look kid, I know you're eager to leave the village but you're too green, go out there and grow some horns first before you try my test." 

The people listening behind John burst into laughter before saying 

"Hahahaha, I knew this would happen." 

"Haha I know right, there is someone new every week who tries to get the quest straight away and the mayor gives them a lecture." 

As the audience continued to laugh, John smiled before saying. 

"Excuse me sir I think you have the wrong idea, Giz'riner said you were looking for me." 

The Faun frowned and looked at him up and down again before replying. 

"Why would I be looking for a lamb like you? What's your name brat?" 

"Vincarna" John said simply and as he finished speaking the Faun's eyes turned big with surprise. 

"What your Vincarna? Seriously?" 

"Yup that's me." John replied as the audience was now getting confused since the mayor seemed to have heard of this noob, but how was that possible? 

"Well why didn't you say so, come in come in, i have been waiting for you." After which the Faun moved aside and let John in before closing the door. 

The audience outside was stumped that a player that was so obviously still new since he did not have any weapon or decent gear but was still in the starter set that gave no armor had the mayor waiting for him to visit. 

"Can someone just tell me what happened there? Has the mayor ever been expecting anyone to visit him in the past?" 

"Not that I know of, but most people don't stay in the starter village for long, why not ask on the forums." 

"I just did and so far, no one has ever heard of this so it might be a new unknown event." 

As soon as the last person finished speaking everyone got excited because everyone knew that completing or accomplishing something never done before got a better reward. 

As John entered the house, he saw that it was a cozy place with two chairs by the fire, a table and a few doors that lead further into the back of the house. 

"Go on go on, take a seat my lad." The Faun urged John to sit down on one of the comfy looking seats by the fire as the faun took the other one. 

"My name is Olrus the Mayor of Yesta Village and I need your help."
