After Raa'd somehow managed to get his panic under control, Darth Lumis informed him about the whole kriffed up situation.

Apparently, she got pregnant despite using contraceptives. And within three weeks realized that the baby was insanely powerful. So she decided to retire and raise the child as her Apprentice.

And then faked her death, starting a minor civil war in the process, tracked down Raa'd to conscript him as the child's trainer and bodyguard. Her reasoning, "You are a Mando and her father. If I can remotely rely upon someone to protect her, that's you. And not to mention, you are rather good in bed."

No matter how twisted the kriffing Sith's reasoning was, it was true. He was already in love with his little girl. And he'll make sure no one dares to hurt her. Even at the cost of his life.

He didn't notice how his daughter seemed amused to see his reaction to parenthood and deeply moved as she felt his emotions through the Force. He didn't know that she made a promise to herself to keep him safe either.

And even his daughter didn't notice a bond forming between them.....
