Summer's POV

Last night's conversation with Gio did not help at all. He was silently asking me to stay away to Shien for Sass. Because he was his fiance? What the hell?

I started to feel uneasy about everything. All I know was I'm just having a crush to Shien and I wanted to end it that way. But he keeps making moves that I can't understand! And now, Gio's last word's keeps on playing on my head.

"Don't let Shien fool you. He was just using Sass for fame and money. And he will use you too. Just like all the people in his life."

Those words keep on nudging in my brain like a broken record. But on my all encounters with Shien, he doesn't seem to look like he was using people. He was just...lonely?

Shien...just wanted to have someone who will love him as who he is. Someone who will support him. Someone like...Sass.

Oh crap! It's five in the morning and I still can't stand up. I hate it that I am too much affected in everything because I keep opening doors I supposed not to open. I am knowing many things so far.

"What's the truth?" I can't help but ask myself.

Because I can't get up, I have decided to take a shower to prepare for today's team building. All of the prior outreach activities outside the resort were canceled because of me. We just managed to finish the last one, last week because of the people's demand. I kinda feel guilty about it. Now, we will only have the last two weeks on this island and we will say goodbye to each other. I just have to wait until then.

Then, I went to the assembly hall and saw a few people in the planning committee. I also saw Shien who was strumming his guitar on the side. He looked awful. Did he sleep last night?

I was busy looking at him when Rainier suddenly came into view. "Hey! You sound great last night!" Because of his loud voice, I gathered everyone's attention, including Shien's. Great.

"Uhmm, thanks. What can I do to help?" I asked him to change the topic.

"Hmmm. We are pretty done so far. You can just wait for the event. Don't bother, Miss Singer." He teased me and left afterward. Then, I saw Shien looking at me while hugging his guitar like an idiot.

I pretended I didn't notice anything and just focused on waiting for the event to start. He kept his distance the whole time which made me feel at peace.

Then, Gio, our game master started to give his instructions to all of us. We will be grouped in three's. The groupings were selected using the sound of the animal we got from the fishbowl. We will keep on mimicking the sound of the animal we got until we found our teammates.

Everyone looked hilarious as we do the activity. I got 'bird' as my animal and started to mimic it as well. To my surprise, my groupmates are Rainier and Shien.

"Wow! Two singers in my group! Amazing!" Rainier said enthusiastically. I palmed my face in disbelief. Why do we keep on getting on each other's way? Am I under a curse?

Shien and Rainier talked casually, while I, on the other hand, focused my eyes on Gio. I want this day to end so badly!

"So for today's activity," Gio said as he opens a cue card. "You need to find the greatest treasure for each member of this island."

I heard some wooing and cheering from the crowd. "Treasure?" I said in my low voice.

"The island crew left their important belonging around the place. All you need to do was to find that item and figure out, who owns them."

I can hear great disapproval. Of course, it will not be an easy job. How can we do that? There are more than thirty members of the crew of Isla Minerva.

"Don't worry guys," Gio said while laughing and calming the people down. "There will be a clue as well in the item that you will found."

After Gio's instructions, the game started. Everyone started to run like crazy. While we, being the awkward team that we are, stayed like weirdos. Good thing, Rainier gave us a good suggestion.

"Guys, let's just part ways, then after an hour, let's meet here by the beach." Shien and I agreed. Then, we part ways to find a weird item.

Minutes later, I saw Shien following me. I gave him a disapproving look but he showed me that he found an old photo.

"I think it's one of the treasures," he proudly said and smiled.

"Okay," I plainly said, and started to walk away again.

"Summer!" I heard him say. But I didn't bother to look at him. I still have more minutes before I meet him again.

"Let's talk!" He shouted that made everyone on the beach looked at us. I glared at him because of that. What was he doing? Then, I went to him and grabbed him by his arm.

When we reached the assigned meet up place, I faced him and said, "What do you want to say?"

"Why are you acting like that? Why are you avoiding me? Why do you make me feel like this?" He said then grabbed his hair in frustration. "I wanted to be friends with you! You made me feel like you will be there for me. So, what happened? What's the problem Summer?!"

"You!" I shouted back at him. "I like you, okay? I like you so much that I forgot that you liked someone else." Then, I wiped the tears that I didn't realize was streaming down my face.

Shien looked shocked at what I said. "What?"

"I said that I like it. I don't want you to know about this so I tried to let you go. I tried to distance myself to you because it's my first time feeling like this." I said to him sincerely.

He still can't talk after what I said. Then, we saw Rainier coming back so I tried to act normal. "Did you found one Rainier?"

"Yes," he said and looked at me and Shien. "What happened to both of you? You both look flustered. Was it too hot?" He asked casually.

"Yeah," Shien said. Good thing he didn't spill anything. "So, what did you found?"

" I found an anklet," then he showed it to us. It was color green. "How about you?"

"I found a picture. Summer didn't found anything yet. Let's try to find the owner later after lunch." Shien said and left us.

"Did you two fight again?" Rainier asked.

I just gave him a smile and said, "Well, you can say that." Then, I urged him to go to the lunch hall as well.
