Chapter 5: Bye Bye Crown

"Yes... I am very well aware of that.." The tutor stood up and handed her a pendant. It was a blue sapphire that shined like the moon. "Although we won't see each other.. let this pendant remind you of me."

"I will... I promise. I will never forget you!" She said to the tutor. Hugging her tightly... she does and will truly miss her.

They both shared a passionate embrace before leaving each other's presence. Celestina knew the tutor her whole life, ever since she was a child.. she would always be taught by this old lady and well.. it was not going to be the last time they will lay eyes on one another.

"You know, many would kill just to get your position. Being the heir to the throne and the next in line and you would just throw that all away... why is that exactly?" Her tutor asked her in a semi curious and semi shocked expression.

"To be honest..." She brushed up her hair..to keep herself away as she starts to grow drowsier. "Many people want things that they don't have. Many people want the things I have because they don't have it... but I want the things that I have because I don't have it." She explained in a simple metaphor.

The tutor chuckled softly at what the princess has said. "You truly are one of a kind among the children I have taught."

"And why is that exactly?" Celestina asked curiously.

The tutor looked at the sky... thinking back to the children she has taught in the past. "The children I would teach were always followers... they would always just follow what I had told them without any type of question as to why." She sighed looking at Celestina.

"But you... you are a wild card. Someone that always makes me rethink what my lesson truly means. You have taught me as much as I taught you, dear."

"And that's a good thing yes?" The princess shot a hint of sarcasm her way.

"Yes... in fact it is. My whole life I thought following and obeying instructions was the way to go for a successful pupil... so I always just made the pupils follow my instructions as close as possible... but you... You made it even better for me."

Those heart-warming words fill Celestina's ears like a lullaby making her feel even more drowsier as her head starts to spin and spin even more...

"Are you okay!" The tutor grabs her as she almost falls down from her current footing... She would massage her head softly... "I'm fine.." She responded to her as her heavy eyes start to make her eyes close.

"I'll be going to my sleeping quarters now... see you... lat-... see you again someday." She says to the tutor waving goodbye to her.

As she walked and skipped out of the room. Carefully walking the hallway to her room to get some sleep... Both filled with happiness due to the farewell gift she was given but of sadness as well... seeing that it was the last time she would see someone that she sees important to her.

The princess paid attention to the pendant on her neck. Touching it and feeling it's hard, smooth surface. As she reached one of the windows which reflected sunlight the pendant glowed like the sea under the moonlight. It's reflecting glow reflected across the room. Bringing a smile upon the princess's face when she looks down on it.

"Have you said your goodbyes?" She sees Lawrence sitting in the distance calling out to her.

"Yes." She says followed by a yawn, a sign of her sleep deprivation. "Although.. It's for the best.. This is what I wanted after all. It would be foolish of me to just back out after I presented my case to my father and mother."

Lawrence sigh, clenching his fist in irritation. "Princess, I wasn't really fond of your decision. I know I'm supposed to support you and I gave you my word about this but I beg that you at least reconsider your decision." He pleaded his case in an attempt to cease's the princess's wishes.

Celestina took a deep breath, she then slowly and gently got close to Lawrence... with grace, she sat down on a nearby chair.. patting the chair beside her as a signal for her attendant to sit as well.

Bewildered by the sudden gesture, Lawrence obeyed his princess and sat down beside her.

She yawned loudly before speaking in a sluggish manner. "It's fine. I know... it's... sudden but..." She pauses repeatedly.. taking slight pauses from her extreme fatigue... until... her body just gives up on her. She then falls like a leaf on the ground.

Surprised, Lawrence catches her as she fell down from exhaustion. "Princess... you really shouldn't have stayed up late reading those silly fantasy novels..."

He then notices the princess is fast asleep.. being unable to hear what he is saying. Celestina is a heavy sleeper and even a rampaging and stampeding group of bulls is not enough to wake her up.

"I suppose I should take you to your bed." Lawrence sighed.. as he puts his hands on Celestina back and positioned so that he would be able to carry her small and fragile body.

"Oopsie daisy." He would carry her with all his might as he attempts to bring her to her sleeping quarters... it took a lot of effort from him... the princess IS NOT AS LIGHT as she was supposed to be... SHE'S BEEN EATING too much sugar, making her weight, not the best for carrying...

As they reached her room. Lawrence threw her in the bed. The impact in the bed was not enough to even wake her up the slightest with how deep of a sleep she is under currently.

He then sighs.. fiddling with her hair as he sat down beside her sleeping body. "What am I going to do with you... You always just get yourself in trouble don't you..."

He would speak to her knowing that she wouldn't be able to hear his voice.

"If only you knew how I hated it that we would be moving here... I wanted to stay in the castle... but since you wanted to live in another country than the Kingdom of Aurora..." He takes a deep breath as he pats her head. "I guess I don't have a choice.... bye-bye to your crown... is all I can say..."
