"Tired, go to your room and take a nap," Tang Ye noticed Chen Lan's condition and quickly suggested.

Chen Lan nodded, realizing that watching them play chess wasn't very interesting. She might as well go to her room to get some rest.

As she got up, Chen Ran walked out of the study. "Lanlan, come here for a moment."

Chen Lan was a bit puzzled but obediently entered the study.

The study was filled with old books that had been flipped through many times. Chen Lan's memory of the original character hardly included any visits to the study, as she had no interest in these books.

Chen Ran, looking at Chen Lan's demeanor, carefully chose his words before slowly speaking, "Lanlan, why do you want to sell that motorcycle?"

Chen Lan looked at him with confusion. "Otherwise, why would I keep it?"

Chen Ran sighed and said earnestly, "Big Brother knows that feelings can't be forced. It's already very good that you can treat Ahye like this now. However, I still hope that you can take back your thoughts about Liang Chen. Liang Chen is not suitable for you. I understand Ahye. He might not say much, but he will treat you well."

Chen Lan interrupted his long speech, "So, Big Brother, what are you trying to say?"

Chen Ran looked at his sister's uncomprehending expression and sighed, "Lanlan, do you know that Ahye likes motorcycles too?"

"Most men have a liking when it comes to motorcycles, so it's not surprising to Chen Lan that Tang Ye liked bikes too.

"So, why didn't you give the bike to Ahye instead of selling it?"

Chen Lan finally understood what Chen Ran was getting at. She silently complained in her heart, wondering why her big brother couldn't just say things directly. Why did he have to beat around the bush?

"Big Brother, are you suggesting that I sell the bike instead of giving it to Ahye because I don't like him and still have feelings for Liang Chen?"

Chen Ran looked at her without saying a word, but his expression seemed to say, 'Well, isn't that the case?'

Chen Lan found it amusing. How could a man's brain be so simple? "Big Brother, you know that the motorcycle was a foolish purchase I bought for Liang Chen in the past. To buy that bike, I even sold all the furniture in our house."

When it came to this matter, Chen Lan remained unfazed and unapologetic. After all, it wasn't her doing. "Now our home is completely bare, and I need to sell the bike to buy furniture."

"Moreover, Liang Chen rode that bike for a while, and I feel disgusted. If I give it to Ahye, do you think he won't feel disgusted? Our Ahye deserves the best, and I don't want to give him something that's been touched by that hypocrite Liang Chen."

Chen Ran looked at her with a hint of deeper understanding. He realized he had been narrow-minded. It turned out his sister had thought it through so thoroughly. "Do you think so?"

Chen Lan nodded, "Of course. I'm going to start a business with Wen Jing soon, and once we start making money, I'll buy Ahye an even better one!"

"Then why did you enroll in night school?" Chen Ran still had some doubts and asked.

Like everyone else, he assumed Chen Lan had gone to night school just to cause trouble for Fan Cong.

"Big Brother, as I've said, I want to start a business. But with my current education level, if I don't study and improve myself, I'll easily get taken advantage of!"

It all made sense, and Chen Ran couldn't find any arguments to refute her.

"Well, it's almost time for dinner. Let's go out!"

Chen Lan opened the door of the study and saw Tang Ye standing at the door. His eyes were bright and shiny when he saw her as if there were tears in them.

"Nothing. Mom asked me to call you for dinner." Tang Ye resumed his usual tone, but it had a touch of tenderness that wasn't there before.

"Okay." Chen Lan naturally linked her arm with his. "No drinking too much tonight, okay?"

Thinking about Tang Ye's condition in the afternoon, she reminded him softly.

The main concern was that both Chen Jun and Tang Ye had old injuries, and drinking so much alcohol was quite worrisome.

Tang Ye nodded. "I know."

Dinner was even more sumptuous than lunch. Chen Jun, as expected, wanted to continue drinking with Tang Ye, but he was rejected by Tang Ye. Not only did Tang Ye abstain from alcohol, but he also stopped Chen Jun from drinking.

Under normal circumstances, Chen Jun might not have listened, but today he was in a good mood and felt a bit guilty toward Tang Ye. So he obediently put down his wine glass.

After dinner, Chen Lan and Tang Ye stayed at Chen's house, sleeping in their original room, waiting to return with Chen Ran tomorrow.
