Chapter 18: A Lore Perhaps?

Hiroki and Rin settled in on an apartment which wasn't cheap yet feels big for both of them. A place where they could settle in as Rin wanted Hiroki to at least live like a decent human being.

She saw that Hiroki, who had lived like a caveman, decided to show him how a normal person should live since she didn't know about the darkness of the Ninja world and felt that a kid like him shouldn't avoid people and hide in basement. Basically, she started acting like a Mom who discovered her kid playing Video Games instead of touching grass.

After knowing how he was 2, despite looking like an 8 year old(Anime Logic Am I right guys?), she felt like a big sister who saw a pitiful kid who had been struggling and decided to take care of him like a responsible adult would.

Yet, both Rin and Hiroki couldn't see the lust in her eyes as she kept staring at Hiroki, her gaze had slowly been hovering deeper than usual after waking up.

In Minecraft, Villagers who often turn back, tend to favor players to a point where they cut down the prices of the trade offers. Yet, Hiroki didn't expect the side effect to work in real life.

Not only that, his protagonist aura not only works as a chick magnet, it is multiplied twice to the point where Hiroki is basically an incubus on steroids.

It was only a matter of time for Rin to fall but Hiroki had only begun the uneasiness of the situation he is in right now.

Hiroki always kept being uneasy since Reviving Rin since he doesn't know what to do with her, even after being dragged outside his home and started living in the apartment.

She didn't forcefully drag him out, just persuading to live more and more outside than in some cave since he didn't feel healthy living in some cave.

Hiroki just nodded, not because he was scared of her. It was mainly because he just lacks close contact with people.

He might be quite a socialist considering he is usually talkative when thinking by himself but in real life, he is as silent as he is visible to people.

Mostly, Rin would usually see him as a nervous kid who tries to make jokes but decides to quiet down after she takes the lead. She didn't expect him to obediently follow around like a mindless person staring blankly before trying to talk to her.

He would blankly stare at something with a gaze which his eyes darken, an abyss that swallows everything he could see, yet when she tried to converse with him, it would revert back into an expressive yet quiet person who rarely talked.

She can't help but be worried that something was wrong about him but doesn't know what to do about it. Slowly she felt that taking care of him somehow made her forget about the concerns she had when she didn't have her memories.

Often she would ask about who she was as he responded with his memories of the show in mind, albeit half-knowing since he rarely knew about her, mostly because she was only used as a pawn for the antagonist to be born.

He can't just straight up tell her that she was only made such that a character would have his sad backstory since the Author(Manga Author) didn't even know how to develop female characters well. Especially a certain pink-haired character who was mostly hated by the community.

Hiroki is someone who doesn't hate people who aren't straight up evil but he still has a petty side.

It's not like he once saw her and when passing by, he would whisper 'Failure' in her ears or something.

Hiroki is not that Evil at all.

Anyways, when they both settled in, Rin was about to talk with Hiroki about his clothing when she saw him bolting in a certain direction, unknowingly running to Teuchi's shop to challenge him again.

Yet this time, Kakashi who was trying to have a break by eating nearby, saw that Hiroki was pointing fingers at Teuchi and demanding another battle with him.

"Are you sure you're still up for the challenge boy?"

"This time I'll win Old man! I even brought my Big Sister here to support me."

Hiroki pointed in the direction as a girl walked into the stall, Rin just stared at Hiroki like a mother who felt like Hiroki is trying to cause trouble for their neighbors as she tried to apologize for his rude behavior towards Teuchi.

The man just smiled warming at them without worries as he was having fun entertaining such an energetic kid.

Yet, all of them didn't seem to notice someone who was staring at the scene, his chopsticks falling on the bowl as his eyes widened towards the female figure without moving his eyes away.

His book which he was holding while eating had already dropped before his chopsticks did as he wanted to question the girl in front of him since he wanted to ask some questions from her.

Yet...

"Disgusting..." Rin saw that Kakashi was staring at her with familiarity as she also seems to recognize him and wanted to know as well but when she saw the book in his hand whose cover was a bit inappropriate, she instinctively felt that Kakashi was a perverted person and back step from him with a disgusted look on her face.

"!!!!"

Kakashi seeing her look, can only feel as if his heart shattered, like what he did to her in the past. Seeing that not only did she have the same look as his teammate in the past, the sense of familiarity was so similar that her giving that look felt like he had it worse than Obito did when Rin rejected his feelings.

*Slam*

"EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!" Hiroki who was about to head to the back, saw the scene, he instinctively said the same words from a certain Asian man as if it was appropriate to this situation. He didn't expect to see this scene happening as he was smiling before having a 'Oh! S***!' look on his face.

He tried to hide his emotions well but Kakashi saw the look he had on his face as he questions why this kid felt like he knew about him.

Hiroki began to panic as the situation was going out of control. His body began to shake, like everything he did would always turn out like this mess, always believing that even though he tried to be less chaotic as possible, it still went to this situation because of his dumb mistakes.

'W-what am I going to do?'

'I didn't expect things to become like this. I just wanted to progress like the story did.'

'Am I really a cursed child...?'

Memories flooded in through his mind as images of him being avoided by people, sometimes fearing him to be cursed by bad luck, those gazes kept crossing into his mind like being hit by Itachi's Tsukoyomi.

Suddenly, he was then pulled away as Rin was dragging him back into the apartment. Her concern for him started to worry her that Hiroki was going through some sort of Trauma that was clawing him to a point where it passed the point of insanity and became some sort of endless torture just by living. Like, he doesn't feel the necessary will to even live anymore.

"A-are you okay?" Rin, who knows that there was something wrong with Hiroki, can't help but ask this question as even though she only met him just recently, she became attached to this kid who was like a light to her, only to find out that light was slowly dying from the inside.

She just didn't want to find the reason why she lacked her memories, she wanted to help Hiroki as well, because she wanted to repay him for being able to live despite having no memories of her past life.

Hiroki who saw her being worried for him, was hesitant and began to contemplate on being truthful for her about his decaying mental illness but then a memory pops out of his head, only smiling as if he wanted to dispel her worries.

"I'm fine Rin. Nothing to worry about."
