A Dairy Situation

Dan gasped as his eyes circled the room. Looking left and right he tries to find out where he was. Glancing at his arms, it was strapped onto the bed. On his right arm was an iv, his gaze fell towards his legs which were also strapped.

Dan struggled for a while, but he gave up the very minute he found out there was no way out. He took his time to look around the room. It didn't look like a normal hospital bed. It looked more isolated, with white walls covering the whole room. There wasn't any furniture or decorations, with the bright light blinding the room he felt anxious thinking about what's going to happen to him.

Suddenly he heard a door creaking behind him. Was the exit there? He tries to look up but with the limited movement he had, he wasn't able to. Snarling he tries to look up and see who was entering the room. "Who are you? Where am I?!"

With the footsteps thumping loudly, he finally finds the person walking next to his bed. Eyes wide as he gaped at the man next to him. Struggling again, he growled "You!"

"And I'm glad to see you to Daniel Walters, Nice seeing you up and running," Liam said, checking on his iv. Liam the very same crazed man back then was completely gone. He looked calm and composed. As if the last night's incident he wasn't even the same man himself.

"Wha- what's going on? How long have I been out?" Dan questioned staring at Liam, who was writing something on a notebook, at the same time muttering stuff that Dan can't catch.

"You've been out for the past two days," Liam said not looking up from his notebook.

"TWO DAYS?!" Dan screeched, "I've been stuck in this room for 48 hours?? What about my mom? I have an essay due- I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISH IT-" Dan gawked at Liam in disbelief. Two days?? What happened in the past two days?

"Yes, two days. Now let's get you up." Liam unstrapped him from his bed, which didn't take a long time. After that, Dan could only sit down with both of his hands drawn together near his chin, as he tries to process everything.

"You're telling me-"

"Yes."

"That I've been-"

"Yes, precisely."

"Am I going to get-

"Uh-huh, you're going to be conducting some experiments for me. Because I've accidentally given you the vial that I have been conducting for the past ten years. Not forgetting-

"STOP CUTTING ME!" Dan ruffled his hair, "I'm asking that am I fired from my job?" He was expecting Liam to say 'no, you're off the hook', but Liam's laughter made his stomach drop.

"...Oh my God, I'm fired. I lost my job, what am I going to do, what am I going to do." Dan muttered rapidly as he took in a long breath, his right foot going up and down. "It's going to be alright, yeah. I'll get a job in no time." He tries to reassure himself, but the more he's saying it the worst it's getting.

"Don't worry, after all this is my fault-

"YEAH NO SHIT SHERLOCK!?" But Dan squirmed at the glare given by Liam. Liam cleared his throat as he continued. "As I was saying."

"Last night's incident was no coincidence- No I wasn't drunk." Liam gave a dirty look at Dan, who chuckled nervously. "The reason why I acted like some maniac was because of withdrawal. The fact that my brother used me." Liam gritted his teeth.

"How does any of this have to do with me?" Dan asked impatiently, he wanted to get out as soon as possible. Liam rolled his eyes at him, "You can leave, but it would be best that you come over the next day, I have...some tests to do with you."

Glancing at Liam, he stood up not before asking Liam to pull out the iv that is. He soon was able to get out of the tiny room. Liam had given him his bag, fortunately, nothing was gone. Bad news is he stinks.

"Damn, I stink," Dan muttered as he strapped his backpack. He was already in the front lobby of the building. Turns out his tiny room was in the basement, he didn't even know there was another basement All he knew that there was a parking lot, but a full-on prison cell? It's a surprise how the press doesn't even know this.

He could feel the stares as he walks out of the building. What he didn't expect was the sudden ear-splitting sound. He flinched as he covered his ears. "What the hell." He muttered, why is it so loud? It's like he can listen to every single thing that produces sound.

"Excuse me, are you alright sir?" Dan flinched at the sudden tap to his shoulder, it was a random stranger. Dan smiled a little but kept his palms to his ears. "Nothing's wrong I'm-"

He suddenly lurched forward as he tried to keep his vomit in.

"Sir? Sir?" But it became even louder, he staggered backward as he gasped "I- 'm sorry, gotta go." He ran, but what had happened was another thing he was not expecting.

He didn't know what was happening, but in just a few minutes he was suddenly at his doorsteps. As the sudden headache suddenly stabbed through him, he quickly knocks on the door.

*bang*

His eyes widened at the hole he made into the door. Glancing around, he decided to try to open the door from the hole. Wincing at the destruction he's made, he finally unlocks the door from the outside. "MOM?!" No answer.

He pulls out his phone and he could see the messages his mom sent him.

'Where are you??' - Mom

'!! You're friend called me and said you were sleeping over at their place, just call back when you're on' - Mom

'Yeah, I'm probably going to stay with them for maybe two days. So don't worry about me' - Danny

That wasn't him, he drew his eyebrows together. The main suspect would be the man, Liam. He sighs as he walks inside the house. It wasn't a big one, but big enough for the two of them, to live comfortably.

"Damn, I really smell." He muttered and walks to his room. But unexpectedly he suddenly zoomed past his room and slammed onto the wall. "Ugh." He grunted as he pries himself of the wall.

"What the- what is going on with me??" He could feel himself feel lighter than usual. He waved his arms around, eyes widening. When the arm moved faster than it should have, and accidentally slapping himself on the face.

He yelped and glared at his arm. "Stupid arm." He finally walks into his room, slowly. He gently closed the door, not wanting to break another one. Dan walks towards the mirror he had and took off his shirt.

"Oh what the- damn since when did I have packs." He said, his gaze on the mirror trailing his body. Slappin his cheeks, he walks out and goes to the bathroom. This was probably a dream, there's no way he's experiencing some kind of spider man shit.

"Oh my god, it is a superpower thing." He muttered. "Am I like the wannabe flash then?" Recalling how he ran so fast, and how strong he is. Dan is definitely what you call not normal.

He held his phone, as he found a new contact number. Dan frowned when he saw the name, "that bastard just goes on to people's phone and puts his number?"

Whatever, he thought. He quickly showered, trying not to smell like a complete piece of shit. Dan finally called a repairman to fix the door before his mom comes home. Sometimes he would see everything so slow yet so fast. On certain occasions, he would slam into the wall from the speed he was running in.

Groaning, he decides to just lay on his bed. It was five p.m. already. Which means his mom would be home soon. The door was already repaired a few hours ago, using his money (hell no was he telling his mom he broke the door) everything in the house looks like nothing ever happened.

"I need a glass of milk." He muttered as he slowly got up, and walks to his fridge. Frowning at the missing milk in the fridge, he sighs as he brings out a jacket. Dressing up for the cold weather, he sets off to the nearest convenience store.

Nothing bad with buying milk in the evening, right?
