End of the Trip

It turned noisier outside the tent. Facing such a tough girl as Zhan Yafei, the base commander didn't dare to push her. He pretended to ask what happened seriously. Naturally, the two man, who were tied up cried out a grievance. Jiang Qi didn't admit that she seduced four men only to get meals. Each stuck to his own side of the story, and they quarreled bitterly.

The base commander, considering how lecherous he was, trusted the beautiful girl Jiang Qi, without doubt. Seeing the grievance on her face, he even reached out and held her by the waist. Jiang Qi leant on him naturally. Lin Yin, who had meant to walk up and shook the wandering hand off, froze. He stared at them with painful eyes. Not long before, he was still Jiang Qi's boyfriend and she asked for his protection. In no time did everything change. Was their love for three years more valueless than the obese base commander?

Xing Feng didn't intervene, not because he didn't want to help, but because Yun Che still needed time. Moreover, he was glad to see these people quarreling with each other. The rest of the team mostly thought in the same way. They looked impatient in varying degrees. Yet no one seemed to stand up and put an end to the farce. Zhan Yafei didn't want that, either.

"Sounds noisy. Commander, what brings you here? What a trivial problem! It'll be handled in minutes. I don't think you need to come. You know. Here comes the victim."

Yun Che lifted the curtains of the tent and walked out with Zhan Tianlong as he spoke.

"Zhan?!"

"Dad…"

A lot of people yelled out of shock upon seeing Zhan Tianlong. Wang Suhua and her daughter Zhan Yafei rushed towards him excitedly. Zhan Tianlong opened his arms and hugged his wife and daughter with tears in his eyes. At last, they got back to each other.

They were glad to hug each other while someone began to panic. Jiang Qi, who used to deny the truth, felt as stiff as a rock. Gradually, she even trembled. How scared she was! Never could she know how a dying man came back to life. And in only an hour or two, he behaved as normally as healthy people.

"It's getting late and we're going back to the southwest base. Yafei, enjoy the reunion moment with your father later. Let him tell us what had exactly happened."

Seeing this, Yun Che exchanged looks with Xing Feng and shouted beside him.

"Mm… Dad, what happened?"

Zhan Yafei gently pushed aside her father and hugged her mother while wiping the tears. She, as a matter of fact, knew the truth. But Jiang Qi refused to be convinced until she was faced with grim reality. She kept denying it, only because she thought she found herself a backer.

"It was her!"

Zhan Tianlong, who regained composure from excitement, pointed at Jiang Qi with hatred and he explained, "That day, I saw four men flirted with her. I had thought she was bullied. Without a second thought, I rushed up to save her. The men said she seduced them, but I didn't believe it. But when I was punched so hard that I nearly passed out, I heard she begged the men to let her stay for days. She said people died every day in the base and it would be forgotten in a few days. Vaguely, I saw her kiss the four men."

"No…"

Zhan Tianlong, as the victim, provided solid evidence. Jiang Qi, who thought no one could blame her if she always denied, collapsed on the ground.

The base commander, who was on Jiang Qi's side, felt awkward. Lin Yin, without doubt, was the saddest. He never expected that his girlfriend, whom he had loved for three years betrayed their relationship only for meals and she even flirted with four men at one time.

Lin Yin knew he wasn't manly, and he was asking for too much. He was too ashamed to look into Zhan Yafei's eyes. Zhan Yafei heaved a sigh. Like Yun Che said, Lin Yin was so greatly protected that he hadn't seen the real doomsday where people killed each other for a living.

Holding the knife in her hand, Zhan Yafei turned around and walked to the two men who were tied up. As she brandished the knife, the rope broke.

The two men, who had a close shave, kowtowed again and again to express their gratitude. Before they walked away, they gave a dark look at Jiang Qi. Obviously, they hated her!

The case was almost closed and their trip to the provincial capital almost ended at this moment.

"Let's go. Time to go back to our base."

Yun Che didn't object when Zhan Yafei let go of those people. Yafei was his team member. Even if he was unsatisfied, he would solve the problem privately in case of making fool of themselves in front of strangers.

"They can go with us, but not that woman! Oh, and we will only take them to the southwest base. They will have to make a living by themselves."

A short moment later, two Cruisers pulled out slowly. Jiang Qi scrambled behind them until they got out of the inner wall and drove off at a high speed!
