The air grew thin as thick mana coated everythingas the magic formations grew visible to the naked eye. A giant array formed beneath Jasmine's feet and that stretched around the the entire castle with Carey as the center as Laurent said. Carey's skin glowed as the pendant rose into the air and the small pint-sized diamonds lit graceful blue and the spell on her forehead glowed and grew.
The Hamadryad tree grew bigger and its leaves turned as green as if it was midsummer and bloomed at the speed visible to the naked eye.
Life returned to the jerkies all around the castle. Except Lyon.
Emerald chains shot off the ground and bound the hound in place. She did as Luarent directed, making two bolts hit both the tree and the girl before blinking off to Laurent's side.
The chains broke once the hound moved and Laurent's claws made no scratch on the hound.
Jasmine tried her luck too while bolts and fireballs from the nine tail failed to do the job. She didn't even singe the fur.
Jasmine had made a spiral cut on air and stabbed, chanting the first offensive spell she knew from both space, earth and water magic that would collect energy and toughen the enchanted blade to its maximum and while water made the target brittle from thermal shock before space spiraled out of control and made the target explode.
She did cut and detornated the wound but the beast healed in an instant. Stone spears rained onto the hound but they bounced off without a dent.
"Shit."
A chain of all elements rained on the hound but the hound just shaked everything off as it snapped at the trio.
Light, darkness, fire and earth, water and air, spirit, and nature. Nothing worked. If not made the skin of the hound tougher.
It didn't matter if the three of them conjured a tough wall around the hound and filled it to the brim and emptied their clips on it. It walked out like model into the runway.
'I'm starting to think that Hercules cheated.' Laurent commented as he stepped back to take a breather.
'Same! Any trick.'
'What about the cursed flames?' Jasmine asked. Every trick she was taught was simply ignored. If not proven obsolute.
'You mean those?' Laurent shouted in her head as the middle head spewd out green flames that felt sickening. The right one went for foggy light red fumes and the remaining head simply acid. They jumped back using magic to return everything thrown at them.
The hound shook it off and charged at them once more.
The dance began once again but eventhough it was three against one, the trio was easily put on defensive.
Once they tried going behind the beast but learnt the hard way what the tail was for in hell.
It was not for the flies but it was something they resolved to face the dragon heads for.
It was almost like a club with poisoned whips. Once it hit, laurent was certain Cyraon felt the pain wherever he was. It itched from hell and back.
As the hound opened it's mouth and the green flames lit its throat, he loaded seven fireballs into its mouth, making the middle head pop up like a frog.
"See that?"
Yeah.
A plan formed once more and before Jasmine could read the plan it was already in motion.
The entire lake froze as they startrd dancing and proding the Cerberus pissing it off further. Jasmine kept the middle head busy but attacking it but it ignored her since none of her attacks didn't even put a scratch on the hounds's skin.
Jasmine saw a river of energy flow from the mummy holding the sword and into the hellhound.
The hound swiped its claw at Laurent and dodged a little too late. He turned back into a human to give the hound a smaller target and it grazed him on the chest, narrowly missing his neck.
She darted towards the hound and hammered the claw away but it felt like she tried to hit a moving truck witha stick.
All of her arms hurt before she was hurled off. Laurent's eyes changed color and lit bright red. He shapeshifted in argony as more wounds decorated his upperbody than the body of a war prisoner after a visit to the torture room.
He grew slender as pristine white fur covered him once more. His two tails remained there but turned bushier. His face turned from a regal wolf that inspired awe and respect into a cute and cuddly and beautiful fox that tempted Jasmine and the Diana to try to pet him. He was smaller than his previous form but his eyes spoke a lot about his anger.
He growled, almost meowed as he advanced to the hound of death. Diana, though she was tired couldn't help but laugh at the sight. It looked like an angry poodle charging at giant. So cute and funny.
Until it wasn't.
The fox ran circles around the giant hell hound and the mummy leaving purple runes wherever it stepped. When the hound thought it cornered him, it found illusions and a massive pain in the neck.
The little white fox bit the neck of the hound way too many times it became annoying.
When it tried to swat him with its tail, it hit itself with its own whip.
"Put your sword in its asshole next time it does so." Laurent said out loud as the hell hound turned its back on them before bitting the right neck.
It tried the whip once more and Jasmine sent the sword into the butthole. The hound whelped as the blade went into the butthole and when it tried to wag its tail, moved the blade prompting it to hurt more.
Worse was the blade seemed to know where it was and tried all the elemental spells it had in its core, turning the backside into a thunderstorm in the ass. Literally.
When it tried to remove the blade with its teeth, the trio would bombard it with their weakened spells on the neck.
It took the blade off its ass with a whelp and made sure it never gave them its ass or it be fucked once more. Keeping them busy with everything it got with its three head. Something Laurent wanted dearly.
Jasmine didn't understand it at first. They were spent and couldn't keep facing a beast with an invincible armor and three heads that blew everything it designed to kill head on.
Then she saw it.
The mummy wasn't providing the beast with endless energy anymore. The sword was hoarding the energy from the surrounding too to help heal the man instead of just keeping him away from death.
Then, the sword lit. All the seven gems on its blade turned prestine white and started glowing like seven full moons on the black blade.
Lyons felt an electric current course through him to the tips of all his limbs. Then, instantly he felt rejuvenated as his bandages went up in purple flames.
He opened his eyes and saw a giant beast looming over him.
"Shit!" He cursed and rolled away but the beast didn't seem to be interested in tasting his guts again. He retreated to see what was keeping it busy.
Behind him, two white wol... that can't be right. A giant multi tailed wolf and a giant fox with a black star on its forehead were facing the beast.
Something that looked like Cerberus the hell hound except with no snake like heads for hair.
The third head was a golden knight who's swordplay was as green as green could get. But she still could land a few cuts and stabs. She didn't have any finesse but the brute force she used worked.
As he caught up with his memory, he felt his sword burn up with anger and charged too. He made contact with the left hind leg and cut it to the bone before something like a mace hit him square on the neck. Almost snapping his neck off.
A thousand whips whipped his back so hard he felt like crying out to his mother.
The hound turned and almost bit his head off but its jaws flew off with acidic blood spilling everywhere.
"Go!" The fox growled almost like a cat. Its hybrid hands sizzling as acid ate the arm.
His body knew this wasn't a fight he could fight in. It was a fight of the titans and he wasn't needed in it.
He ran towards the castle as bright white light shot off from the tip of the sword of the golden knight.
The bullets went through the mouth of the hound as the beast finally bled.
The runes on his sword lit and he felt the madness of the sword reappear after a century of it being asleep.
The golden knight kept firing as the white wolf partially turned into a human. Kept the claws, fangs and fur but lost the rest. She looked like an upright ape instead of a wolf.
She charged tearing the stomach open.
Lyon turned, disagreeing with his body and joined the fight.
The fight tilted in their favor instantly and the hell hound was torn apart easily by the sword that burnt white hot and shapeshifted to any length the old general willed it to take.
When Laurent finally gave the last roar, it was to finish the hound by freezing evrything in front of him. The hound that tried to jump into the water and the entire lake it jumped into.
Thought shattering it was enough, the absoption of ashes earlier was enough to warrant the beast to be turned into frozwn mincemeat and packed into a stone casket that was then sealed with all sealing spells the three knew and with each head in a different vases and sent to the keeper's compound for disposal.
After all that, they sat down on the dock to eat something and tend to their wounds. It took Laurent a single touch to heal all of them but the poison in their body took a bit too long to dispose.
"Why did you tell him to leave?" Jasmine asked as they stared at Lyon who was running to check on his pack once more.
"The hell hound fed energy from him." Diana answered. "To be honest I'm suprised he is still standing."
"It's the sword." Laurent said as his eyes were watched the sword as it fed ancient relic the residual man in the air after cleaning it. 'Its part of the royal treasury.' He added to Diana jn a mind link.
"The moonless night?" She asked.
"Yeah. Speaking of which, I gotta bounce. I left Allie alone in the burrow." He said as he got up. His wounds were still open but slowly closing as the girls didn't have the know how to heal him amd the energy to. Jasmine and Diana respectively.
"Stop speaking like an a fox."
"Isn't he a fox?"
"He is. Which Allie?"
"Aver, she's alive."
Diana's face fell like she heard of a ghost and and for a second, tears formed on her face before a stone mask took over. She conjured a keys and a wallet and gave him a couple of cards and keys. Before telling him to go.
Jasmine for a second wondered who this Allie was and why Diana turned into an emotional mess for a sec when she heard her name but decided it would have to wait.
"Diana..."
"Don't worry. The old coots sent enough resources earlier to keep this pack safe. And there is a sentinel here watching."
They looked at me and I looked back at them. "So what? I don't follow your orders."
Laurent took a deep breath and I sighed. Changing the scene to the burror in space Laurent hid Allie in. Laurent followed suit, appearing in the middle of the living room of his burrow and found Allie sleeping on the couch.
He took her into his arms and sent her to the panic room he called her bedroom and put her in.
He tried to take a shower but just after he went into the shower, Allie groaned and he ran out of the shower only to find her balled up and clenching her stomach.
The rest was yesterday's news.
