Chapter 9 So how long?

"Michael Vandal is it?" Alexia said quietly once again causing Jane and Gracie to look at each other.

They had never seen Alexia act like this about anyone and it was making them wonder what was happening in her head.

It was well known that Alexia was the most sort after woman in the world to make your wife, both men and women wanted her hand in marriage.

From celebrities to business tycoons, and from royalty to the recognized most handsome man in the world all sort Alexia as their wife and she received new marriage requests each week.

However she never showed more than a passing curiosity in any of her suitors. 

"Alexia we need to move, your due back on stage any time now." Jane said as she remember her job.

"Very well let's go, Sophie I would ask that you come visit us in my penthouse tomorrow to answer some questions." Alexia said addressing Sophie.

"Of course Lexi" Sophie agreed immediately.

As the three friends made their way out of the room the last thing they heard was Sophie shouting into her radio "TOMMY JONES YOU SHIT HEAD GET YOUR ASS TO MY OFFICE IMMEDIATELY."

A few minutes later in the managers office Tommy sat on the chair in front of the desk look at the angry face of his long time girlfriend Sophie who sat in her chair.

"Answer me this Tommy Jones who did you get as the replacement for Joey?" Sophie asked in a cold voice.

Tommy started to sweat as he asked "why the sudden interest honey?"

Glaring at Tommy Sophie responded "don't you honey me, tell me exactly why you got Mike of all people? You know he is still a hot potato right now."

Tommy showed surprise as he carefully asked "how did you find out?"

"Oh I don't know maybe it's the fact that he made 'Sex on the rocks' for me and I recognized his unique flavor in the drink, or maybe it's the fact he made Lexi 'The Good Night Shock." Sophie hissed

Tommy's jaw dropped open "Lexi? You mean that Lexi?"

"Do you know anyone else who goes by the name Lexi here tonight?"

"Wait wait wait you said he made her 'The good Night Shock'?"

"No way not after last time" Tommy replied becoming even more shocked.

"Oh yes way, he even described its effects to her as he always does when he offers it to someone." Sophie sighed holding her forehead.

"Damn idiot I told you to be careful" Tommy hissed.

Sophie locked his with another icy stare "so explain, why Mike?"

"You said it yourself, we needed a replacement for Joey asap and Mike was the only bartender good enough for here that was available."

"God damn idiot if the press finds out, shit."

"And now I have to go to Lexi's apartment to explain to her, Lexi's manager Jane and our boss Gracie who Mike is and why he should never have been here."

"Sorry honey". Tommy said with his head down.

"You think sorry is enough Tommy, oh no you're sleeping on the sofa for the next three months at least." Sophie replied with an evil smirk.

After Mike sneaked out of the club he was on his way back to his apartment when his phone rang.

Looking at the caller he sighed and answered the call, however before he could speak an angry shout cane out the earpiece causing Mike to pull his phone back away from his ear.

"MIKE YOU FUCKING IDIOT, WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING?"

"Tommy hello to you too" Mike replied calmly after Tommy stopped shouting.

"Mike buddy, pal, my friend what in the blue balls made you think it would be a good idea to serve The Lexi 'The Good Night Shock'?"

"Ha ha you found out a?" Mike laughed embarrassingly

"Not only did I find out, but I found out from Sophie, she knows it was you because you also made her drink and she recognized your signature taste from it."

"What the fuck were you thinking making that for Lexi after what happened in the past man? Are you nuts?"

"Look man she wanted something to energies her so she could finish her performance, but she looked so tired and exhausted I advised her not to."

"In the end after her explanation I figured that was the only thing I could do to help her in the position" Mike replied before sighing.

"Look I get it your a nice guy Mike, but sometimes your to nice for your own good.

What will happen if the press gets hold of this? It was bad enough with that bitch before but with Lexi it will be a hundred times worse."

The call was quiet for a few moments before Mike asked "so how long?"

"Three fucking months" Tommy answered angrily.

"Ha ha damn she is pissed at you, and don't you mean three months without fucking hahaha" Mike laughed and as he ended the call he just heard Tommy say.

"Basta…"

Back at Olympus after Lexi had just finished performing and now the three friends where in there private lounge 'Zeus Lounge'

"Wow Alexia I must say your performance just now was incredible, I mean all of your performances are but that one just seemed to have something extra." Gracie commented as the three friends sat on sofas with drinks.

"I know what you mean, even I am surprised by how well my performance went tonight." Alexia commented with a curious look on her face.

"I wonder if it's because of that drink Mike made for me?" Alexia thought out loud.

"Oh ho what's this? Jane our dear Alexia just mentioned a guy she has only known for 5 minutes by his nick name, am I imagining things? Gracie asked with a cheeky smile.

"Afraid not Gracie, that bartender you both met seems to have captured her attention, what would all the other men in the world think if they heard there goddess the most beautiful women in the world is thinking about a guy? Jane replied with a smirk.

"Oh be quiet you two, when did you both start teaming up on me?" Alexia answers rolling her eyes.

"He he it's just that this is the first time we have seen you so interested in a man, even Mark Philips the globally recognized most eligible bachelor and handsome man never got this reaction from you." Gracie pointed out.

" I remember that, it was the after party of the Oscars and Mark spent all night trying to woo Alexia here.

All he got in return was a professional smile and politeness.

I think he must of gone home crying."

Jane replied with a smile.

"Fair enough I will admit that this Michael Vandal has got me thinking about him and curious to know more, there is just something about him that I find intriguing."

"Maybe it's the fact that he addressed you as Miss Demonte?" Gracie pointed out.

"Wait he did? That's unusual, no one ever calls you by Miss Demonte unless you're giving them a disciplinary at one of your company's." Jane commented.

"Yes I found that strange as well, he clearly knew who I was because he mentioned about my performance tonight, he also clearly liked my music because he was listening to 'always with you' and tapping his finger to the beat.

Yet he never once addressed me as Lexi and only Miss or Miss Demonte." Commented thinking back to when she first saw Michael in the Artemis Lounge.

"Don't forget he also admitted that he was the one who put your album on since he was alone in the lounge, what a curious guy, even I am starting to get interested in him.

Why was he not employed here to begin with, it's obvious how good a bartender he is." Gracie replied

"Agreed I mean other margarita's do not even compare to the one he made me before." Jane added while taking another sip.

"Hmm I guess we will have to wait till to.. tomo… tomorrow to find out." Alexia replied while trying to stifle a yawn.

"Wait has it been three hours?" Alexia asked while looking at her one of a kind watch on her wrist.

"Wow it looks like he was right and your body is starting to get tired and shut down, we should leave before you collapse. Jane I think you should get the driver to bring the car around." Gracie said while moving next Alexia.

"Bill it's me bring the car around please." Jane nodded and called Alexia's driver.

"Come on sleeping beauty let's get you honey." Gracie joked as she helped Alexia to stand up and leave the club as she was by now was clearly falling asleep.
