Recommended Exam [2]

The Test of Power started!

As soon as it began, Ice started spreading endlessly to the ground, its epicenter being Shoto's feet. Looking around, he analyzed: 'The first thing to do is to keep my mind calm. To be the first, I need to stop my enemies.'

Without caring about the frozen feet of the other participants, Shoto darted off his original position, and it didn't take long for him to find an enormous robot with square-like body parts. Its coloration was green and its sheer size did scare him a bit, however, Shoto was prepared: 'You'll be the start of my victory.'

As soon as the robot identified Shoto, lasers started shooting from its red-colored, screen-like eyes. It brightened the surrounding area as an explosion rang in Shoto's ears. Looking calmly towards the robot as he sidestepped, avoiding the somehow slow laser, he clenched both hands.

Fire and Ice erupted from both of his fists as a wave of opposite elements that started to coexist in a single body burst out! Shoto smiled widely after seeing the robot in front of him falling sideways: 'Half-Hot Half-Cold Fist: Cold Heat.'

''One down... One more to go down.'' Shoto muttered before he started advancing through his Ice. Behind him, some participants quickly freed themselves from the Ice, the fastest one being Inasa, who smiled as he said out loud: ''HAHA! What an exciting test!''

Swooosh!

Wind erupted from his body as Inasa let it guide him. A 'swoosh' sound was heard as the black-haired teenager vanished from his previous location, it would be a test of not only power but also speed!

The ones with more power would destroy it easier but those with more speed would get to the robots faster. Inasa and Shoto were on a fight against time to see who would defeat more robots!

Shoto furrowed his brows after seeing Inasa's speed before deciding to use all of his power. From each side of his body, Fire and Ice erupted before he extended his palm to the west and the east. A wall of raging Flames and merciless Ice blocked the participants who were behind him.

'Half-Hot Half-Cold Fist: Wall of Duality.' Shoto thought to himself before darting off again. He was determined to win the first place. For himself but most importantly, for his family.

To make them proud!

Meanwhile, inside a room with bright lights oozing out of a lamp, a small rat with white-colored fur and a scar on his left eye smiled: ''What do you think of this Shoto, Yagi?''

All Might, also known as Toshinori Yagi, looked over the screen as the image of Shoto played in front of him. From the Test of Knowledge to the Test of Power, he started analyzing before the image of a certain white-haired teenager who helped him seemed to overlap.

''Very good. If I'm not wrong, he has a twin named Todoroki Fuyuto, right? He's also very promising, they're similar. Not just in appearance, I mean.'' Yagi, who was in his skinny form, said before scratching the back of his head. It was obvious that twins were similar, unless they weren't identic ones, of course.

Nezu nodded as the two of them, along with a few other Teachers, started observing the screen once again.

Meanwhile, in the spectator area, Fuyuto was looking to the huge screen which sometimes showed Shoto, Inasa, and even Momo Yaoyorozu. He started to think of the U.A High School: 'A school made for Heroes' aspirants... I will be enrolling there.'

'But... What does it mean to me, as a person, to become a Hero?' Fuyuto thought to himself, he already had the conviction of a Hero. The will to save someone, however, it was still very confusing.

What did it mean to him, to be a Hero?

What did the term 'Hero' mean? Why would he become one?

His purpose as a Hero, what would it be? What was his goal?

These were questions that Fuyuto wouldn't be able to reply right now. Somehow, images of a bright white-colored room appeared in his mind, a silhouette of a man appeared in there, slowly leaving his sight. [1]

His silhouette was blurry and completely black, unknown, and full of mystery. A throbbing headache attacked Fuyuto's mind but the image was kept there, unmoving by it. It was as if his memory didn't want it to disappear, no matter what.

''Are you okay?'' At that moment, Enji's voice rang in his ears, calming down his headache. Fuyuto nodded lightly, but the silhouette didn't leave his mind, it was as if his answers were there, just wanting to be unraveled!

Noticing that Fuyuto seemed to have returned to normal, Enji sighed in relief before he said: ''The results are out.''

Enji didn't really talk too much, mainly because he was kind of nervous. While he was confident his son would be the first, the nervousness was still there. Fuyuto felt like laughing at his father's expression but held himself back.

From a screen, the image of a white-furred rat with a scar on his left eye was transmitted. That rat was precisely Nezu, who said: ''The Recommendation Exam results are out. On the Test of Knowlege, Momo Yaoyoruzu was the first. On the test of Speed, Inasa Yoarashi was the first. On the test of power, Todoroki Shoto was the first.''

His voice contained a bit of mysteriousness, adding up to the tension: ''Only the Top 4, as most of the Recommendation Exams, will be qualified to enter U.A. The official Top 4 is...''

''For the Number 1: Inasa Yoarashi!''

''For the Number 2: Todoroki Shoto!''

''For the Number 3: Momo Yaoyorozu!''

''For the Number 4: Pony Tsunotori!''

Nezu's voice was like thunder that struck Shoto's body. However, he quickly shook his head: 'His overall performance was better than mine. While I did perform better in the last test, in the first two, he was Number 2 and Number 1 respectively. It makes sense that he is the first in the overall.'

Sensing that instead of feeling down, Shoto was actually more determined, Enji smiled proudly. One's road was full of difficulties and if the person gave up in the first difficulty, they weren't supposed to walk on such road, to begin with.

''Let's go home! You still have the Entrance Exam next week, Nii-san! I'm pumped up to get stronger!" Shoto said with a wide smile, a fire of determination burned deep inside his eyes. Fuyuto nodded before punching his brother's shoulders weakly.

Just like that, a week passed by.
