With a loud thud Maki collapsed on the ground, while she glared at Ritsuka with hateful eyes, her right eye glowing slightly. On the other hand Ritsuka looked at her, holding his phone he took some pictures of her all the while grinning much to her annoyance. After he was satisfied with the pictures, he took a seat at the side of the bench.
This was nothing but them training or rather Ritsuka kicking Maki's ass just like how his Gramps did with him.

It had been 2 months since the two met and Maki decided to join Ritsuka, after that the two stayed in the hotel for a while then Ritsuka decided to bring her back to the place where he lived with his Gramps.
Though he didn't straight bring her to his house rather took a longer route and covered many areas in Tochigi Prefecture itself where Hero activities were prominent to see if he could get any useful quirk. It was during this journey that Maki learned of his age and when she did, her pride didn't allow her to accept the fact Ritsuka was a year younger than her yet was much stronger than her both in terms of power and maturity.
Knowing that she requested Ritsuka to train her, who had already planned on doing so but was waiting for Maki to recover from her malnourished state. And once she did, Maki's hellish training started. Though her quirk was powerful it had many limitations to it and so Ritsuka started working on improving Maki's physical strength and spiritual strength, all the while making her work on controlling her quirk by making her meditate since he had figured her quirk wasn't active all the time and would only activate under the effect of her extreme emotional fluctuations.
While Ritsuka wasn't idle either he copied Maki's quirk while using his Biokinesis quirk to prevent his eyes from mutating like Maki's all the while retaining the effects, other than that he even faced another demon on his trip.
He also placed a trigger in Maki using his spiritual energy which would destroy her mind if she ever had any thoughts on betraying or harming him.
It was only after he did this, did he tell her about existence of demons and started showing little bit of his demon physiology to her.
It wasn't that he was being ruthless here, while he wasn't a kid mentally, Maki was and even though she had gone through tough times and was mature enough, it wouldn't mean he would let her in on all his secrets and expect her to accept them all.
After Maki found out about demons, she was still somewhat hesitant on whether they should be killed or not, though their second encounter with a demon after the one they faced in the shrine, served as a wakeup call for her.
The demon was a grotesque looking rat like being savouring pieces of girls in an underground sewer. After Ritsuka absorbed the demon, did he realize what the demon had gone through when he was a human, his quirk had turned him into literal rat-human because of that the world abandoned him and the girl he used to like before cursed and threw stones at him after his quirk awakened. Shunned by all, the Demon Lord approached him and turned him into a demon, which then broke all his human inhibitions and turned him to what he was at present.
Maki could still remember the demon's last words when she asked him why he chose such path...
"Haha… this world is a shitty place isn't it, just because of your quirk you are already deemed whether you would be a hero or a villain by the people, not even considering the fact whether that person is just a child… Back then, I was 7 years old when my quirk awakened which turned me into a rat-human while my childhood friend the girl I used to like also awakened her quirk right around the same time which gave her angel like wings… after that everything changed while I was ostracized by people because of my looks, people deemed me as a villain, my friend that bitch was being treated as an angel… an angel of justice, a future hero.
While even my family left me, with no hope left I tried to talk to that bitch but what did she do, she told me to get lost that I had no hope and even started screaming when I tried to talk to her a little more, her screams gathered surrounding people who beat me to near death while she was being treated as the victim.
I just couldn't handle it, after I got the gift from the great demon… I attacked her at night, capturing her I brought her in the sewer where I tortured her, her screams of pain, her cries for mercy were music to my ears after that I devoured her… hahaha… just thinking about it is making my blood boil in happiness…" was all the demon could say before Ritsuka killed him.
She could understand the demon's words considering her case was slightly similar where just because of her quirk her family isolated her, though Ritsuka's words after that, affected her more than the demon's…
"This is the kind of world we live in, and that is why you need to get stronger than everyone else only then can you survive in this world and change the way society operates without enough strength you wouldn't even be able to assure your survival much less change the society… so work harder Maki"
It was after this incident Maki stopped hesitating when Ritsuka killed someone, though she still wouldn't harm an innocent she wasn't affected by the act of killing when needed but Ritsuka hadn't even made her fight someone much less kill.
Since even though Maki's belief had changed she still needed time to prepare herself mentally aside from that the two also came a little closer since after her quirk awakening, Ritsuka was the only one she could talk to without hiding her eye or being shunned off.
And just like that 2 months had gone by before the duo finally reached back at Ritsuka and his Gramps house.

Back to current time,
"Alright now get up, you are still wasting too much energy by making unnecessary moves also try to move your left leg slightly forward when you..." And like that Rituska started explaining her weakness while Maki listened intently.
After 1 hour,
Ritsuka was in the shower, while Maki had already freshened up and was in the living room. Just as Ritsuka was enjoying a nice cold shower after an intense workout session,
*boom!*
A loud explosion sounded, which alerted him, wrapping his towel around his waist, he ran in the living room with a katana made of his spiritual energy in hand while his eyes blood red, only to be met by a black faced Maki who had her hair messed while something was stuck at the kitchen ceiling and various gooey substances were splattered all around the place with a burnt pan in Maki's hand.
"What the actual fuck!?" Ritsuka muttered looking at the situation of the kitchen.
Noticing Ritsuka, Maki turned her head up as she looked at him, his bare muscular chest and wet hair as water droplets trickled down his well-defined muscles as if high-lightning them, she blushed in deep red shade which thankfully for her was hidden by the black ash on her face.
"Wh-what are you doing all naked like that you pervert!!" Maki said stuttering in between.
"Forget that and tell me what the hell are you doing?" Rituska said as he cancelled his sword and demon transformation.
"Umm… I was trying to make lunch and…" Maki mumbled while fidgeting with her fingers, her eyes wandering around, not daring to look at him.
Ritsuka stared at her for a whike the left the kitchen and picked his phone from the table in the living room, dialling a number he said "Hello! …yes yes please send the pizzas as fast as possible… yes thank you" saying that he hung up the phone and looked at Maki with a stoic look and said "You are not getting any food till you clean this mess up"
Saying he left, putting the phone back while Maki fell to the ground, drawing circles with her finger in depressed state.
After he got back from the shower, dressed in casual clothes he saw Maki cleaning the kitchen, nodding at her he took a seat on the couch in the living room while watching TV.
Soon the pizza's arrived while Maki finished cleaning the kitchen. He took the delivery as the two got seated and were about to take a bite,
"The Sky Egg Tower was attacked by an Instant Villain…." the reporter went on about explaining the events that happened during the event of Captain Celebrity's farewell and how it was disrupted by a villain attack with many heroes teaming up to deal with the villain and the event finally being taken care of with All Might appearing.
'…Interesting, it seems I will have to visit Naruhata sooner than expected, I have a feeling I will get answers for my mutation there' Ritsuka thought as he smiled slightly before taking the bite of his double cheese pizza. While Maki was too busy with her pizza to notice Ritsuka's smile.

The time-period is quite different from canon so don't compare the two.
