MHA: The Quirk Engineer

Follow the story of Raiko Shuzenzi, whose quirk allows him to create other quirks, as he breaks record and becomes unbelivably strong. MHA fanfic where the MC has a quirk that allows him to create other quirks. MC will be OP, but not absurdly so, at least not in the beginning. THis is also my first fanfic, so if you see any mistakes or have any suggestions, I'm interested. There will be romance...maybe

Chapter 39 – Quirk Analysis Class (part 1)

Raiko's POV

The Next Day

My first few days as a teacher went better than I expected, I'd even say my class went great and that the students were impressed by it.

Contrarily to what the students might've thought, Quirk Analysis wasn't a boring class in a classroom where you just read books about different types of villains. There was a bit of theory, yes, but it was mostly real battles and different scenarios, all against real villains.

Yes, real villains, I had convinced the government to implement a new program that allowed me, or any other person given permission by the government and hero association, to make a "deal" with certain villains that were in prison. They would receive better living conditions, and maybe even reduced sentences, but they had to fight against hero or hero students in exchange. Mock fights, obviously, and they had to always obey me.

Of course, I wasn't dumb, I knew that some villains would try to hurt students or escape, so we had implanted a special device/implant in all the villains that had agreed to take part in the program. It allowed us to make them unconscious, I simply needed to press a button on a remote, as simple as that. Additionally, there needed to always have proficient heroes near in case something went awry and I didn't use particularly dangerous villains, nothing higher than C-ranked villains.

It had taken quite a bit of convincing to get the government to agree, but when I had shown them several examples where heroes had failed to properly understand a villain's quirk and it had caused casualties or extensive damage, they were forced to agree.

Once I had the permission of the government, it wasn't very difficult to get villains to agree, just telling them that they would get better living arrangements and that they would get to see the outside world had usually done the trick. Often, it didn't bother them that they would be used as kind of punching bags. Life in prison was tough.

And so far, it had worked very well, I only had classes with the second and third years to date, but there had been no incidents, the villains I had made the deal with had all obeyed and not caused any problems.

.

Today, I had my first class with first years, class 1-A, and I wanted a villain that I hope would help the students improve in other ways than only getting experience against villains, I also wanted to some of them to improve in terms of mentality, teamwork or self-confidence.

With that in mind, I had made a deal with a villain that some students in 1-A had experience with, the Sludge villain.

This villain was a tricky one to get the implant on, as it was made of sludge, but me had bypassed that by implanting it inside the only part of his body that wasn't made of sludge, his eyes.

I'm sure that my class with them would be interesting.

.

I entered 1-A and saw that all the students were at their desks with their book opened, but they were still a little sleepy for the most part, as it was the first class of the day. I only had a suitcase with me, that contained the body of the Sludge villain and a portable projector.

"Good morning class", I spoke, getting their attention, "Close your books, you won't be needing them today. Welcome to your first quirk analysis class."

Wasting no time, I continued.

"This morning, we're on a tight schedule, so I'll waste no time with introductions or formalities. My name is Shuzenji, call me Shuzenji-sensei, I'm your teacher, even if I'm only fifteen. In today's class, we'll talk about the sludge villain."

I now had their full attention. I opened my projector and an image of the Sludge Villain was projected on the wall behind me.

"This villain was a not very powerful, D-rank villain that rampaged in Musutafu a few months ago before being caught by All Might. What was special about him? It was the fact that several powerful heroes were there on the scene but didn't manage to stop him because they didn't know how and couldn't formulate a plan."

"If All Might hadn't arrived in time, there would've been a minimum of one victim, maybe more, and extensive property damage. The villain itself wasn't very powerful, only D-rank, but he was unusual, the heroes couldn't react. So that's my quirk analysis class exists, so that these types of situations don't happen again."

I opened my suitcase and took out the Sludge Villain, who was in a big plastic container. The class gasped, seeing the monstrous villain and Midoriya shivered seeming like he was reminiscing something, while I could see Bakugou fuming in anger. Good, it would motivate them, but I hope the latter wouldn't go overboard, but I doubted that.

"This is the Sludge Villain. You, today, will fight against it in teams of four. Don't worry, he's got an implant and I simply need to push this button and he will be out cold, there's no danger. But before you fight it, I want you all to form strategies, using your and your teammates strength. Teamwork is key. The teams are like this:

Team 1: Denki Kaminari, Kastuki Bakugou, Hanto Sero, Kyoka Jiro

Team 2: Shoto Todoroki, Koji Koda, Tsuyu Asui, Toru Hagakure

Team 3: Momo Yaoyaorozu, Mina Ashido, Rikido Satou, Izuku Midoriya

Team 4: Ochaco Urakaka, Mezo Shoji, Fumikage Tokoyomi, Minoru Mineta

Team 5: Kyotaka Honowa, Eijio Kirishima, Tenya Lida, Yuga Aoyama

"There will be two scenarios, one where the villain is simply on a rampage and the other where he has a hostage. There will also be bystanders like there are normal peoples there during villain attacks. You will need to also rescue them and prevent them from getting hurt. "

"Each team is designed so that it can beat the villain in both scenarios. Gather with the other member of your team, you have fifteen minutes to form plans, then we will go to ground Beta I will be at the desk if you have any questions."

After my explanation, I sat at the desk and worked on a report I had to make for the Hero Association, waiting for the fifteen minutes to pass, while the students gathered and started talking and formulating plans.

My true goal with today's exercise, other than to give them experience in fighting villains and to make their teamwork better, was to make them realize that, sometimes, your quirk was completely useless against some villains. That doesn't mean you were useless, though, you could rescue people of help other heroes. It's better for students to make mistakes now than when they'll be heroes and that there will lives at risk.

Fifteen minutes later, I told the class to go change themselves into their hero costume and to go to training ground Beta afterward.

One thing that I did notice was that, during those fifteen minutes, Bakugou had not talked, or even tried to cooperate with anyone in his team, saying something along the line of "I don't need you extras, I'll explode this crappy villain myself!".

If I'm being honest with myself, this was expected and one of the reasons I had chosen the sludge villain.

.

Once everyone in the class was at the training ground Beta, which was a mock city, I released the Sludge villain and said:

"Team 1 will be the first ones to battle against the Sludge villain. Sludge villain, you are allowed to fight back and cause damage, but no serious injury, else you'll never see the light of day again. Students, don't forget that there are bots playing the part of civilian inside this city. Being a hero is to save others more than anything. You can start!"

Once I gave the start signal, Bakugou, who was barely restraining himself, propelled himself toward the Sludge villain, and shouted:

"Don't get in my way, extras, I'll take care of this piece of sh*t myself. I don't need you!

He then yelled "DIEEEEEEE" and created an explosion aimed at the Sludge villain, who was blasted into bits.

"See, didn't need any of you extras…"

Bakugou was interrupted when a tentacle made of sludge wrapped itself around his ankle and slammed him into a nearby wall. The Sludge villain was now completely reformed, as if he wasn't blown apart mere moments ago.

Bakugou unleashed a barrage of explosions at the villain with a gleeful smile on his face, but the same thing happened over and over again. The villain was blown into pieces, but kept reforming, unfazed, getting Bakugou less and less jubilant, gradually more and more enraged.

While Bakugou was wasting his time and strength against an enemy he was weak against, his team had hesitantly, then more confidently begun to search for the civilians' bots that might've gotten injured by the destruction Bakugou was creating and rescued them. I was satisfied to see they were doing something hero-like even when things were clearly going awry.

After a minute or so of this circus, I decided to stop it when moderately sized concrete debris, from a nearby building, got launched into Jiro's face because of an explosion by Bakugou. The only reason I had let Bakugou unleash his rage for so long was that I wanted to teach everyone here a lesson, especially Bakugou.

I shouted, "STOP! BOTH OF YOU STOP FIGHTING NOW" and was satisfied to see that the Sludge villain listened to me and stopped moving, while Bakugou, not so surprisingly completely ignored me.

I simply walked and got near him, before speaking sternly again.

"Bakugou, stop this farce right now or else or else they'll be consequences."

I was disappointed that he still ignored me, but I guess this was expected, so I took him by the collar and lifted him in the air, his feet were hanging by a foot above the ground.

"Stop this, Bakugou and you won't be expelled."

This was the third, and last time I would warn him, he had already gone far past my personal limit, but U.A. had rules, even for the teachers. But no, he was still firing blast at the sludge villain, not even looking at me.

He was so infuriated that didn't ignore me anymore, no he created an explosion aimed at me, my face to be precise, and quite a powerful one. Luckily for him, there was no damage done because of a very subtle activation of Titanium Body and because of my shock absorption quirk, but I was not very happy.

It had been a long time since I was this annoyed and angry that you could sense it in the air (A/N: like Stain bloodlust aura, but with annoyance).

While all of this was happening, the class was watching from afar and got progressively more scared and uneasy, especially when they saw Bakugou aim an explosion at me, then felt my aura. At the distance they were at, it was already enough to make them sweat profusely.

When he received the brunt of my aura, it was at this moment that Bakugou came back to his sense and realized what he had just done, and he became deathly pale, for once didn't know what to say. 'I'm in trouble, aren't I' Bakugou thought.

"Yes, you are."

For the ones that think that the actions I’m making Bakugou do are out of character, he was really really an asshole at the beginning of the serie and Raiko hurt Bakugou’s ego when, despite being not using a quirk and being of the same age, he managed to place higher than him at the quirk apprehension test. Also, Raiko achieved a lot for his age, so Bakugou sees him as a threat, because he is hurting his ego and superiority complex.

And yes, there will be a bit for Bakugou bashing, too bad for you like him.
