Self Reflection!

Bullet was bathed and cleaned. He even had a good night's rest with Mei holding him tightly.

The next day, he woke up and all his armor and arms were gone.

He only had some very basic mechanical arms that were a placeholder. Mei had gone to create a whole new costume and arms, leaving a note for him that she was coming back.

Bullet smiled gently and put the basic arms on, curling his fingers.

He got dressed and walked out of the dorm.

He snuck out and told Aizawa he was going for a walk to clear his head.

Aizawa was dubious but All-Might and Nezu allowed it.

All-Might noticed he was looking different from usual. He didn't sense that manic bloodlust anymore, he felt like a brand new guy! All-Might hoped so. Which was why he let Bullet go outside.

Bullet stood outside looking at the ruins of the city.

He walked along the streets and looked around at the buildings. Many were destroyed, charred, crumbling… It was awful.

He wore black boots, jeans, a black t-shirt, and a white hoodie.

His hair was messy and covered half of his face, revealing only a mouth with a vertical scar over it. He kept his hood up and looked up at the pinned corpse with the calling card under it before walking away.

He continued walking and looked at all these messages, passing them by.

Most of this destruction was ironically caused by himself, not the villains. He couldn't see it before, but it was no wonder why people never moved back. They were probably terrified of him. Where did Heroes draw the line with villains?

Was it saving people?

No.

Bullet could see it now, there was no more haze and smoke, only a reflection of himself. The line was drawn at killing. This is what separated Heroes from Villains. A hero should rise above and find a way to save people without resorting to killing and lowering themselves to the villains' levels…

Bullet laughed softly at himself as he walked in the middle of the street with all the destruction he caused all by himself. This city was once a very joyful and happy place… Now it was a ghost town, destroyed and in ruins.

Forget about villains… there weren't even people in this town anymore.

Bullet smiled and looked up at the sky, maybe killing was a last resort but the way he abused it was unacceptable. He understood now, chasing down villains who surrendered and killing them like animals, wasn't a heroic act…

He turned to the ground, he was just a villain wearing the skin of a hero. He understood that now. The most ironic part was that all this time he was looking for a way to die, Mei was right. She knew him better than he knew himself.

She could see everything about him.

But Bullet could see now, it wasn't only her. Everyone else was worried and scared. The funny part was, now he couldn't let himself die. He needed to fix everything, no matter how long the process was or how tough it was. No matter what people said or did, he would need to continue.

Bullet cast a long shadow on the street of the ruined city, smiling to himself. When this was all over he would atone for his crimes and sins. He just wished that Mei didn't have to suffer along with him. If he could go back he would do everything differently.

When did his dreams of being a hero get abandoned? He sighed to himself and found out that he didn't know. Maybe he was always the villain?

Bullet found himself at a beach by the sea.

He sat down on a bench and thought about everything he had done. There were no more doubts or confusion, only regrets and apologies. He was on the wrong road from the beginning. Whether he knew or not, his methods were always twisted.

Deep down in his heart, maybe a part of him knew that he was doing the wrong thing. Maybe a part of him knew and didn't care. Maybe he did it because he liked it. This is what made Bullet the saddest of all.

He could feel that a part of him enjoyed killing people. Maybe this was the worst part, but still a part of him. The real question was where to go now? All For One was still out there, as was Shigaraki. All these villains were trying to take over the world!

That little dream that was forgotten a long time ago, burned fiercely.

Even if he was a villain, he… Just this once he wanted to be a real hero!

Not a suicidal maniac.

Not a murderous psycho!

But a real, true, Hero!

Just like All-Might!

He wanted to smile and say 'No Fear!' just one last time…

As he was in his stupor he didn't notice, Shigaraki appeared in front of him, saying "A Quirkless nobody!? Perfect!" as he grabbed Bullet's face. Bullet looked up and their eyes met as incredible power flooded Bullet's body from head to toe!
