"Also, the number one hero and one of your newest teachers, All Might, has stated countless times that 'anyone can be a hero!', yet there have been no records of any student without a Quirk entering the Hero Course, at UA or any other hero school across Japan…" The blue skinned reporter added, enjoying the look of frustration on the Principal's furry face.

"You've never been one to beat around the bush, Ms. Kizuki. If there is a question you wish to ask, please do so, or I shall have to move on to someone else." Nezu's eyes squinted at the crafty reporter, knowing exactly where she was going with this.

Chitose smirked like a cat who had cornered a mouse, and decided to take her shot.

"I suppose what I'm trying to ask is, if a Quirkless individual was able to become one of the most infamous villains in Japan, and defeat one of your former star pupils, does that mean that anyone without a Quirk could also become a hero if they wished?"

Nezu gripped the podium. There it was…

"…Anyone who wishes to become a hero, is able to apply for the hero course at UA Acadamy, or any of the many other hero schools across Japan, Quirkless or otherwise," Nezu stated.

"But, just as we make sure to give all of our possible students an equal chance to study here, we also make sure to educate them in what dangerous situations they would be up against when they graduate to become the next generation of heroes."

"So, are you saying that it is too dangerous for someone without a Quirk to become a hero?" The blue skinned reporter scrutinized, grinning slightly like a cat cornering a mouse.

"Being a hero is dangerous, no matter what one's circumstances are." Nezu made clear, leaving no room for argument.

"As you all know, there has been a recent spike in Villain activity across Japan. Whether it be from the actions of Izuku Midorya, or more recently, the attacks from the known Hero Killer. But rest assured, we heroes are doing all that we can to find both of these individuals, and put an end to this appalling crime wave!"

"Now, I'm afraid that this press conference has come to an end. Thank you." The sentient animal bowed before the crowd, before hopping down from the podium, and toddled off the stage.

As Nezu left the reporters clambering over one another for more answers, Tsuki Monogatori turned to face the camera pointed at her.

"It seems that this is all the information that we can get at this time, ladies and gentlemen. But, with all the questions that have been answered, many more have only taken their place. But with all the mysteries that keep piling up, one question stands above them all that everyone wants to know; Where, in all of Japan, is Izuku Midorya…"

"Where. Is. 'Deku'?"

"We are now arriving at our final destination. Please watch your step as you exit the train, and please be mindful of other passengers. Thank you for riding!"

The doors of the bullet train car slid open, letting the gathered passengers spill out into the bustling train station.

The ones getting off the train clashed with those wanting to get on, causing a hurried scramble before the train could leave once more.

Passengers who had arrived passed through the ticket gates and made their way out into Hosu City.

Iida Tenya took in the sight of the high-reaching skyscrapers, bystanders in business attire hurrying to their next appointment, and rushing traffic for only a moment before losing interest, scanning the area with focused, narrowed eyes.

He was supposed to wait out front of the station to meet with Manual, a hero who worked with his brother when he got off the train.

But he was looking for someone else…

Th super-speed boy clenched his fist tightly.

The scowl on his face deepened, as he recalled the horrific memory of seeing his brother at the hospital, only two weeks ago…

"WHERE IS HE?!"

Iida ran as fast as he could without using his Quirk, as he sped through the hospital halls.

How could this happen?! Tensei Tenya, better known as Ingenium, was the greatest hero Iida had ever known.

He was someone who would help everyone that he could with his inherited speed powers.

Stopping villains one minute, to getting a cat out of a tree the next.

He was a hero that Iida idolized, almost more than All Might himself!

So why…why…?

Why did he get attacked by the Hero Killer?!

Iida found the number of the room where his brother was assigned to.

He burst into the room, for once not caring the least in how much of a scene he would be causing…

And took in a sight that would haunt him for the rest of his life…

His parents standing to the left of a medical bed. His father holding his weeping mother, unable to stop his own tears from falling.

A large ventilator machine to the right, with an automated pump rising up and down, as a heart monitor beeped steadily with the rising and falling of a green dot on a screen…

And laying in the bed, looking as if he was mere inches from death, was his brother, Tensei Iida…

"Tensei!" Tenyu cried as he rushed to his wounded brother's side, his eyes filling with tears as he looked at his heavily injured sibling.

"Hey, Tenya…" Tensei wheezed, attempting to put on a brave smile. "Sorry I couldn't see you at the Festival…"

"Never mind that!" The younger sibling discarded desperately.

"What happened?! Are you okay?! Mom told me you were attacked! She said it was the Hero Killer!"

"Yeah…yeah, it was…" Tensei gasped, his forced smile starting to crumble.

"I like to think I got him as good as he got me, but…I'm sorry, little brother…Looks like you're gonna be the next Ingenium sooner than we thought…"

"What are you talking about?!" Tenya yelled in anguish, wondering why on earth his brother was trying to play this off as a good thing.

It was at that moment that Tenya noticed his brothers' legs confine in heavy casts, working all the way from his waist to his feet.

No…no, it can't be!

Iida refused to accept it. That his brother was now…that he couldn't…

"I'm sorry, Tenya…" Tensei sobbed. "Looks like my heroing days are over…!" Tenya felt the strength in his own legs leave him.

He collapsed to his knees on the floor, breaking down in heartbreak at what had been done to his brother.

With the loss of feeling in his legs, Tensei's life may have been spared, but his life as a hero was over.

Tenya let his head fall, facing the floor as tears fell from his eyes despair filling his heart…

Then it began to fill with rage.

Tenya gripped the bars of his brother's bed rail.

None of his family could see the look on their son and brother's face, but if they did, they would see a look of pure hatred.

Tenya clenched his teeth in fury, as his still leaking eyes turned downward into a murderous scowl.

"Stain…!" The name came off the blue-haired boy's tongue in a venomous hiss.

Tenya made a silent vow to himself at the bedside of his now paralized brother.

That He would finish the fight his brother started, and hunt down the infamous Hero Killer, and do everything in his power to make him pay for what he'd done!

Even if it meant taking his life…
