Villain Attack?!

"A Villain attack?!" Her mother suddenly screamed.

The man on top of the guy on the balcony suddenly noticed our presence, he opened his mouth to say something before he immediately turned his head back to the guy under him who was starting to overpower him. The man's elbows suddenly combusted like the exhaust pipe of a car and with the added push he was able to put the guy down.

His face obviously struggled as the man under him started thrashing. "PLEASE FOLLOW THE GENERAL EVACUATION PLANS! OTHER HEROES ARE ON THEIR WAY BUT WE NEED TO CLEAN THE BUILDING OF CIVILLIANS!"

Erika was greeted by a surprise as the same red mist she'd seen earlier suddenly manifested from the man's body and roared at the guy on top of them, the force of the roar pushed the guy off of him. By instinct, she started circulating her mana, getting ready to do something in case something else happened. However, her mother grabbed a towel before she began running away.

The woman was expertly weaving through the chaotic toys and even shelves on the ground that put a shocked look on Erika's face.

It didn't take long until they found a two little kids huddled up in a corner looking terrified more than ever. Her mother didn't even hesitate to grab them and secured them in her chest with her other arm before she sprinted again. Right behind them there was a larger explosion.

"Hello, little ones. Where are your parents?" She managed to ask gently despite running at very fast speeds inside a cramped building and jumping everywhere.

The children began crying. No, actually they started sobbing. Snot and tears easily ran down the predestined marks left by the previous ones. Their cries were loud and echoed in the building.

Erika felt an unpleasant tingle at the back of her neck when she heard the two sets of cries beside her. She really dislikes loud noises.

And then her mother began shushing them. Not in a harsh way. She started shushing them gently, planting little kisses on their sweaty heads as she stopped and hid behind three fallen shelves. As if she performed magic, the two kids started to quiet down and looked at her with interest.

"I know you're scared. It must be hard to be left alone to fend for yourselves in a Villain attack." Her voice and eyes were soft. If Erika didn't know any better, she would have thought her mother suddenly casted charm magic on them.

The kids seemed to immediately relate to her words and started to speak. Albeit very loudly.

"We're not alone!"

"Yeah! Dad was with us before everyone started running away and we go separated!"

The two shared a look with one another before the first hesitantly added. "And then... that teddy bear monster showed up..."

"Teddy bear monster?" Asked by mother before her focus suddenly snapped out of the two kids and she moved away from her hiding spot just in time before a large claw strikes at them.

"THAT'S THE TEDDY BEAR!"

"HE HURT BIG SIS!"

The two kids were clawing at my mother's shirt, almost ripping it apart as well as restricting the older woman's mobility.

The huge ass bear (definitely not a Teddy bear) smiled, all of its sharp teeth showing that had bits and pieces of blood and even some tissue stuck in them. In a sing song voice, the bear suddenly opened his mouth and said, "I found you~"

The two kids screamed.

Erika, getting tired by their screaming, reinforced her hand with mana before bringing it down and smacking one of them on the face. "Shush!"

"Wha-"

"That's one fearless baby you got there, miss." He licked his lips, "I wonder how she would taste like..."

The woman's ruby eyes lost its light as it glowed under the darkness that cast over with her bangs.

The bear laughed loudly. While the kids were scared, they didn't dare to scream.

Suddenly the bear's hand slipped off of its arm, a thin string of blood connecting them before it separated when the hand hit the floor.

"What the-" The bear screamed in pain as it held its hand to try to stop the bleeding and the thrombin pain of having it cut.

The gruesome scene caused the other kids to barf and almost puke on Erika's mother. Erika on the other hand was confused about what happened. It was then that she noticed a shimmer at the bottom and when she looked down she saw her mother put something shiny back in her purse with the hand she used to hold the two other kids.

When Erika looked back at her mother, the woman looked like a child that got caught with their hand on the cookie jar.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, WOMAN!"

Erika's mother immediately ran away from the bear, but not before felling one of the toy shelves with a swift kick on its supports.

With that the bear was out of sight and Erika's mother swiftly made her way out of the store. With two accomplices, it seemed that this place wasn't as safe even if she were to hide in a corner. Who knows how many more of them are out there. Thankfully her mother was fast hence it didn't take that long before they finally reached the entrance of the store that was being guarded by several security guards and police.

"Susmarijosep- Andrew! Zack!" A scrawny looking man suddenly broke through the crowd and approached Erika's mother who was in the middle of putting the two boys down.

The man along with a couple of police approached Erika's mother. The man was more focused on his sons as he pulled them in a strong hug.

"I'm glad you're alright! I was so worried-" He stopped suddenly as his eyes grew with horror at the realisation. He turned to the taller boy, "Where's your big sister?"

The two boys burst into tears, "The bear hurt her! Sh-she used her quirk and tried to hold it back before she made us run..."

"Ma'am, I need some I.D. please," Said a police officer.

Erika's mother gave him two cards she had already prepared in case. At the first card, the man didn't show any reaction but it was at the second one that his eyes basically bulged out of his skull.

He looked at the card, then back at my mother, then back at the card. The back and forth continued for a few moments before he straightened his back and cleared his throat. He saluted, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Comodore Reyes! I am Tristan Elidor of the Tanza Police Department"

'I have no idea what that title means but if he's saluting then ma must have a higher status than him in their Order of Knights.' Suddenly Erika melted in her mother's embrace, 'Ma's awesome...'

"At ease," Her mother said, "Fill me in on what happened."

The man then proceeds to tell her about an organisation of psychopaths that prey off of the flesh of children. They have been running rampant lately, hosting events under the disguise of it being an official event from the mall, when in fact one of them had a quirk similar to mind control and had used that to convince the officials to approve of their event in a short notice.

Her mother's face turned darker and darker as she heard of what was happening.

The man radioed something to the other stationed officers before turning back to her mother. "A Rank Heroes are on their way to back up Blazing Joints."

"That should be enough. I had an encounter with two of the villains. One of them had a quirk that binded him with some sort of red mist, and one was a large mutant bear with a human face. Blazing Joints was fighting the one with red mist, I took care of the bear's hand before retreating here."

The man saluted again, "Thank you for your service. Please proceed with the general evacuation plan. We'll handle the rest of what's going on. If you need anything, please approach any of our officers present."

Erika's mother was quick to follow his directions until a man stopped her. It was the father of the two boys they had rescued.

"Please, Comodore. I need your help. My babygirl's still inside there. Sh-she tried to protect her little brothers from a bear."

Her mother opened her mouth to say something but the man cut her off.

"PLEASE LISTEN TO ME. THE- THEY WONT DO ANYTHING!!!" The man broke down on my mother's knees, sobbing. "My baby's strong. She's... so strong. She must be hiding somewhere. Injured. If we go and find her right now, we might reach her just in time to get her to the right medical treatment."
