32 Calvary Battle

At the stands, we can see Rei and Fuyumi Todoroki sitting and watching the festival. As the obstacle race was finished, Rei looked at Fuyumi and said, "You said that his quirk is wings, right?"

"Yeah... " Still not understanding what happened in the race, Fuyumi replied to her mother in a dazed state.

"Then how does he have that much power without using his quirk?"

"I don't know mom; I'm starting to think that I don't know what his quirk is anymore." With a sigh, she replied to her mother. Then they didn't say anything; they just sat there in silence.

That silence was broken by a sound: "Why is she looking like that mom?"

Looking up, Rei saw her firstborn and said, "Nothing; she's just upset that her little brother didn't make it to first place."

"Pfff... that's fine, Fuyumi; there are two more rounds. He'll take the first place."

He said that by ruffling Fuyumi's hair.

Then he said, "You know the kid who got the seventh place? He's the Haruto I've been talking about since that day."

"I know, son, you told us that he's in the same class as Shoto."

"Yeah... Anyway, I came here to tell you to be ready to meet him in person." When Fuyumi heard this, she perked up and looked at Touya. Rei just motioned for him to continue, "Dad wants to meet him after the finals are over, so I suggested dad have family dinner including him at our house today." And they dropped the bomb like nothing.

Hearing this, Fuyumi's eyes went as wide as they could, and she looked at her mother.

Rei hearing this first froze, but understood what this could mean and looked at her daughter.

Singing, she told Touya, "Alright, I'll be ready when he comes. So when are you going to invite him?"

After he left from there, Fuyumi looked at her mother, expecting that she'd let her leave the house at the time.

But Rei smiled at her and spoke, "You know, it's almost been two years since you started a relationship with him. It's time to introduce him to the family."

Realizing what her mother is planning, Fuyumi spoke, "No, Mom. No, don't. Please."

"It's alright. Your father won't call someone over to have dinner with us. So trust me, it's time."

Hearing all this, Futumi just sighed in defeat.

"Now then, I will explain the rules of the cavalry battle.

The time limit is fifteen minutes. Each team is worth the total of it's members points, and the rider will wear a headband with that number on their foreheads.

Teams will try to grab each other's headbands until time runs out and try to keep as many points as they can.

Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up.

So the more you steal, the harder it'll be to manage them!

And the most important thing is that even if your headband gets stolen or if your team falls, you're not out!

During the game, it'll be a cruel fight where you can use your quirks.

But it is still a cavalry battle.

You'll get a red card for attacks that are trying to make people fall on purpose!

You'll be removed immediately!"

After she said that, a timer of fifteen minutes was shown on the hologram screen.

"Now, you have fifteen minutes to build your teams. Start!"

As soon as she said that, I heard a sound, so I looked at the source of the sound. Seeing who it is, I just pointed at myself, so he said, "Yeah, you. Want to join my team?"

Looking at him, I just smiled in my mind and said, "Sure." As soon as I said that, I felt something brushing over my mental shield, so I just stood there speaking, nothing, acting like I'm under his control.

Then he said, "Come on, we need to find the next ones."

Saying that he went towards Ojiro and another kid from class B.

So I just went along with him, and he picked up our headband and spoke, pointing at me, "You will be my horse." Looking at the other two, he said, "You'll be on my either side."

After he said that, we positioned ourselves as he said.

"All right! You've made your teams, right?

I'm not going to ask if you're ready or not!"

I looked around subtly and saw that most of the teams are the same as the cannon.

"Now, let's go! Counting down to the brutal battle royal!"

"Three"

As present mic started the countdown, I looked up straight into Shinso's eye, who looked down, feeling my head moving, and said, "Let's do it!" With a smile.

"Two"

Hearing me, his eye's went wide, and he asked in utter confusion, "How?"

"One, Start!!!"

Not replying to his question, I just ran forward and the other guy's followed suit.

Still in confusion, he asked me again, "How?"

"That ain't the problem now, man. Concentrate on the game." I said to him.

As we were running, I saw most of the guy's moving towards Midoriya and he escaping from their grasps.

As this was happening, Shinso was not still taking anything from other students.

So I just told him, "Hey man, do you want to continue to the next round? If so, then take the headbands of others, man."

Hearing what I said bought him back, and he started to steal one or two.

As we were running around, I told him, "For your information, I'm immune to mental attacks, okay? Happy now?"

"Then why didn't you stop me from taking them under control?" He asked me.

"Well, I won't be with them all the time. They need to learn a lesson not to let their garud down."

"You, know. You are one scary guy."

"And why is that?"

"I just got that feeling about you."

"You got that right."

After some time passed, we were in fifth place with some points. As the game was about to end, Shinso said, "Let's take some from the second place."

"Good idea." So I led him towards Testsutestu, who's been in second place, and took his headbands and reched fourth place.

"Time's just about up! Start the countdown!"

I heard that and looked forward and saw Shoto, Midoriya, and Bakugo going for each other. Just then the buzzer rang, indicating that the game had ended.

"Now, let's take a look at the top four teams right away!

In first place, Team Todoroki!

In second place, Team Bakugo!

In third place, Team Shinso!

In fourth place, Team Midoriya!

These four teams will advance to the final round!"

After the results were announced, I looked at Shinso and said, "Good work."

He just looked at me and nodded; after that, he left.

Ojiro and the kid from Class B were utterly confused of what happened. Before they could look for me, I just moved from there and went towards Shoto, Momo, and Fumikage.

Present Mic announced, "Now we'll take an hour's break for lunch before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya!"
