3 CHAPTER 3

Duncan had finally finished preparing himself, his long black hair was tied in a ponytail and he was wearing the UA school uniform. Today would be his first day there, it has only been a week since he sent the letter but he knows that they will have to sort things out for him anyway, there was no need to worry about it.

Wearing his leather jacket and the Biker's glove he locked the door behind him and mounted the motorcycle in his garage, the door opened and he set off, leaving the above-average house he bought after a year of hard-work behind as he hurried through the streets.

Musutafu was a city much better compared to Tatoone, it didn't have a corrupted local government and there were much fewer criminal organizations, the people who committed crimes here were usually the common ones who only steal things. From time to time he would see one on the streets but it wouldn't take long for a hero to appear.

When he arrived there were already a few students entering the gate, someone noticed him parking his bike, and started whispering.

"Hey look at that guy, he is fucking big!"

"Now that you say, he really is, and to be driving a motorcycle... could he be a new teacher or something?"

The other girl shook her head, she didn't know, but once Duncan took out his helmet and put inside the motorcycle trunk, they were shocked, he seemed a little bit anti-social but his serious and geometrical face, coupled with the long hair and slightly green eyes made him extremely handsome in the ladies views, they couldn't believe such guy existed. More people started noticing him and stared without blinking, then he did something that almost no one understood, but it made a green-haired boy almost choke as he looked at his actions.

Duncan pointed at his motorcycle and a white semi-transparent circle appeared filled with glyphs and runes, then he wrote a few words in the circle and it entered the bike. Having finished his business, he left the place and walked away without even looking at the crowd, he doubted anyone here would recognize him.

"Wow, did you see that?" One of the girls asked with a shocked expression.

"Yeah, but what sort of quirk was that?" She couldn't even start to comprehend, Duncan knew that and wasn't even going to bother with them, but then, he heard someone saying something he never expected.

"The Emperor, quirk: magic, possibly an emitter type of quirk with the capabilities of bending reality to a certain level, the limits of his power is unknown, the 7 strongest bounty hunter on the rank." Those words made him stop with wide eyes, he turned to look at the person who said that and couldn't help but be surprised, it was a frail-looking boy if it wasn't by his experience he wouldn't even notice his muscles under the uniform.

They stared at each other for a moment but they didn't say anything, Duncan merely continued walking after some time and went directly to the classroom.

Once he arrived he opened the door and found that there were some people inside already, a boy with spiked white hair and another with short black hair were bickering about something and the others were quiet at the back of the class, seeing this he ignored the first two he saw and sat down at one of the available chairs behind a girl with a long black hair.

It didn't take long for the teacher to arrive, it was a man with bags under his eyes and black hair that seemed to absorb all light like a black hole, he made the green-haired boy and the girl who just arrived sat down while he explained a few things.

"I'm Aizawa Shota, your home-room teacher, it is a pleasure to meet you." His tired voice entered their ears making every student inside wonder if he would be like that all the way to the end. "I want you all to wear the school jumpsuit and follow me to the training grounds."

Once they all got there he stopped and looked at them with a serious face. "We will have a quirk apprehension test."

Almost everyone was shocked, the little girl with short hair who arrived with the green-haired boy even asked about the entrance ceremony and orientation, but Aizawa merely replied. "If you are going to be a hero you won't have time for leisure."

Aizawa was a downcast guy, that was in his words, his behavior, and his general aura, he felt like someone broken, whose heart had given up and the only reason he kept walking was that life obliged him to do it. Duncan didn't even pay attention to the rest of his words and just watched as he commanded the boy with white spiked hair called Bakugo to throw a ball using his quirk at the same time.

He waved his arm and threw it using some sort of explosion. When Aizawa showed them how far the ball went almost everyone showed a shocked face, that little ball and a single explosion was enough to throw it more than seven hundred meters away. "This is the most rational way to build a hero's foundation."

"750 meters !? Really?"

"What is this? It looks like fun!"

"We can use our individualities as much as we want! As expected from the heroes course!"

These students who had barely entered the world of crime-fighting were incomparably excited, Duncan had seen this before, it was how the youngsters reacted when they found out that he could use his quirks without having to worry about the law.

He shook his head seeing that. As expected from this country's law system, they limit the use of quirks so much that they make people think that using this is a kind of reward rather than something natural.

It was then that Duncan noticed a cold glint on Aizawa's eyes. 'I've seen this before... those are the eyes that spell death, I wonder why...'

And a few seconds later he spoke. "It looks fun?" He paused and looked at them for a moment, the atmosphere getting heavier. "You have three years to become heroes. Are you going to have an attitude like that all the time?" Others might not have noticed but when he smiled there was not a single thing in his expression that actually indicated that he thought this was funny, it was more like he was trying to punish and teach them a lesson. "Okay, whoever gets the last place after the next eight tests, we will be judged as someone without potential, and that person will be expelled from the hero course."

Those with the worst quirks suddenly looked extremely frightened, be it the boy with grapes instead of hair, the little girl with short hair, or the green-haired boy, all of them were clearly worrying about what would happen next, they didn't want to believe, but somehow they knew they had greater chance than the others to end up expelled.

"We are free to do as we want about the circumstances of our students..." Aizawa used his hand to pull away the hair covering his eyes and said with a cold and sadistic voice. "Welcome to the U.A. heroes course!"

|---------------------------------------|

The first test was a 50-meter run and since there was an odd number of students, Aizawa made Duncan be the last and run alone.

"Are you ready?" He asked in a bored voice, and the answer he got was a nod as equally as boring.

Everyone looked at him wondering what sort of quirk he had, and how he would use it. Ida Tenya, the first person to finish the test with a result of 3.04 seconds, however, was occupied talking with Midoriya Izuku, the same green-haired boy Duncan had met before. He wanted to understand, why he seemed so frustrated although he had already finished his run and even got above average results.

"Ida-San, that guy... he isn't like us."

"Uh? What do you mean, he seems pretty normal for me..." Ida turned to look at Duncan who had finished preparing.

"That is because you don't know his identity, he is..." before he could finish his words, Aizawa blew the whistle and started to count the time.

But something no one expected happened, just as he gave his first step, some sort of hole opened in the air in front of him, while another one opened at the end of the line, he passed right through it and finished the 50m run right after.

"WHAT!" With the exception of 3 students, the rest all shouted in unison.

"What the heck was that!?"

"Could his quirk be teleportation?"

"No that can't be, he actually did something extremely complex!" Yaoyorozu Momo started explaining and got everyone's attention in the process. "What he did was to create a bridge between two different points in space-time, this is no different than the theory of the wormhole!"

"What!? Is that really possible?"

"Amazing!"

Aizawa sighed and silently marked Duncan's result of 0.8 seconds.

Seeing this Midoriya couldn't understand how did that happen, he didn't even saw the circle so how!?

Noticing his gaze, Duncan went towards him and kept walking, it didn't look like he said anything but only Midoriya knew the truth, because he clearly heard his words. "The first thing a bounty hunter needs to know is how to hide his actions and objectives."

He didn't even wait and took out his notebook to take notes of what he said, Duncan couldn't help but chuckle seeing his actions, this boy is the studious type, back in his previous world, not many people were that dedicated, here, however...

Then came the second test, the strength test, there was nothing much to say, this time Duncan's score was two hundred and seventy Kg, while this was also related to his quirk, no one knew how and he didn't bother to explain.

In the standing Long Jump, he scored a perfect result like many others. In the Sustained Sideways Jump, he was above average, and it finally came, the last test, the pitch!

There, the first person gave them an interesting surprise, the girl with short hair called Uraraka Ochaco just touched the ball and let it float towards the sky and got an infinite result shocking everyone.

"Infinite!?"

"Incredible, she scored an infinite!"

After that, everyone started throwing the balls to the best of their abilities, like the other tests Duncan was also set to be the last one. But something happened when Midoriya was about to throw the ball, Aizawa's hair started floating together with his weird scarf.

He 'erased' his quirk and gave him some sort of lesson by saying how he couldn't believe they accepted him, this however didn't seem to reach the boy, who simply noticed that the teacher was someone called Eraser Head.

Aizawa lowered slightly his head and said. "Do you intend on incapacitating yourself again and make someone save you?"

"W-what? That is not my intention..."

Aizawa didn't even bother hearing his words and captured him using his floating scarf, he looked directly at his eyes and said. "Whatever your intention is, I'm saying that this is what everyone around you will be forced to do."

"In the past, there was a hero too passionate that saved more than a thousand people alone and created a legend. Even if you have the same values as him, you'll merely be stored and transformed into a useless doll after saving one person. Midoriya Izuku. With your power, you can't become a hero."

The students gasped, and Midoriya lowered his head, those words seemed to have affected him greatly. "I returned your quirk, you have another chance at throwing the ball." Having said that he stepped back and kept looking at him.

It took some time, but when he threw the ball it flew away extremely fast leaving a trail behind it, then, the results came, he scored more than 700 hundred meters, and only injured a finger in the process.

"Teacher!" Aizawa was looking at the screen of his smartphone when he heard those words, there was even a smile on his face. "I can still move!" Midoriya words made him smirk slightly, you could see it in his face, there was some proud hidden in that depressive eyes. 'This brat...'

"WOW! He did it!"

"Yay, finally a hero's score!"

"Look, his finger is injured. It was like that during the exam, he has such a weird quirk..."

Although everyone was surprised there was one guy who seemed even more surprised than the others, Bakugo was red with anger and madness basically took over all of his rationality, explosions started to sound as he stepped with extreme speed towards Midoriya, Aizawa was about to react but he stopped seeing someone had already pinned him down.

"HOW!" Bakugo shouted in anger, his face was pressed against the ground and although he tried he couldn't even look at the person who somehow mobilized him and could even step on his face!

"When did he move!?" It wasn't only him, Aizawa and the others were also surprised with how things developed.

There stepping on Bakugo's face, was Duncan, he had an unsatisfied expression on his face, and even slightly sighed seeing the situation.

What was more surprising was his words.

"What a waste of time." The ropes surrounding Bakugo, that seemed to be made out of energy words got even tighter as he struggled to free himself. Duncan didn't show on his face before, but he couldn't hold it anymore. "This place is a joke!"

"What!?" They couldn't understand what he was talking about.

Aizawa looked at him and activated his quirk, however, surprisingly enough, it didn't have any effect, his eyes opened wide as his mouth hanged in an open position, why didn't it work, who was this guy? Why did he suddenly start to curse?

"Aizawa..."

"Duncan Endrik..." They looked at each other, some people could even see sparks of electricity coming out of their eyes. "What is the meaning of this?"

"The meaning? Haha!" He held Bakugo with one of his hands, and with a single punch threw him across the field making him fall just a few centimeters away from Aizawa. "You spoke about that Midoriya boy, but you have not even mentioned the grape head or this imbecile with explosive temperament."

Hearing his words the three who were mentioned looked at him with sweat pouring down their faces. Bakugo even more than the others, he could barely breathe after he was punched on his chest.

"First of all, you have a fucking pervert without any ability to become a real hero here, then you have someone with a murderous mind that needs treatment..."

Hearing his words some of the girls nodded their heads, Mineta, the boy with grapes instead of hair was indeed a pervert, they caught him staring at them like a predator more than once, and Bakugo's behavior was indeed extremely... explosive from the beginning.

"Them, you have this joke... Quirk apprehension test? What the fuck do you want to test if those kids couldn't even properly use their quirks during most of their lives! You are a joke of a teacher and I won't waste my time here, you can say whatever you want to the principal, I refuse to stay three years in this place." He turned back and started leaving the training grounds.

Duncan's icy words struck everyone making them tremble, he was completely different from them, he was competent, strong, fast, and capable, those who heard Midoriya talking already knew he was a bounty hunter, and they also knew very well how different they were from heroes, each is why they usually had an extremely bad reputation.

Murder, torture, and dangerous fights, most don't know but in order to become a bounty hunter it is much more difficult than to become a hero, the requirements in terms of power, skill, and control of your surroundings is much greater than usual, it was why most bounty hunters were actually stronger than heroes.

"Go back to the classroom and wait for me there." When Aizawa's words reached their ears, he and Duncan had already disappeared.

2855 Words.

I don't know if you guys are going to answer, but I would like to know your opinions, if no one says anything, I'll probably make him keep going to school. One of the other possibilities could be one where he will actually skip most of the things and develop outside, which means he won't participate in most things that happened in the anime/manga.

Tell me if you want to see him going to another school, or maybe completely skip it, I more or less already have his future outside of UA prepared, it will depend on you guys since most of his development there would be in terms of personality and character growth.
