Chapter 7 Why.

Shigeo Susumu pov:

After fainting in the middle of the forest, I woke up to the familiar sight of the roof of the shack me and my mom were staying in.

I looked around and spotted my mom cutting some mushrooms.....wait I shouldn't be able to smell those mushrooms from this far away, only now did I notice that the world felt a lot different to me.

My sense of smell heightened by such a margin that it could put a dog's nose to shame, and my eyes became so sharp that I could make out the individual strands of straw in the walls of our shed and my ears were able to hear the wild animals talking to each other in the forest.

But that was only the start of the differences I felt.

I could feel everything about my own body, from the blood circulating in my veins to the electric impulses jumping around in my brain, speaking of my brain, it also underwent astonishing changes, the calculations that I took a few seconds to solve before now could be done instantly, and I could remember the memories of my past life even more vividly.

But that wasn't the end of the discoveries, upon focusing I realised I could feel everything around me upto a certain radius, a 1 meter radius from my skin to be precise.

I could 'see' everything in this 'domain' down to the atoms, I decided to push this 1 meter radius as far as I can, slowly.

Finally I stopped at 2 meters because going any further started to strain my brain with the influx of information, not to mention these 2 meters even half a meter would have killed me if not for my upgraded brain.

I decided to continue experimenting later right now I wanted food, I was hungry from not eating for so long.

"mom?" I called

"I'm right here baby" she said as she came up to me and kneeled beside me.

"What happened out there?" she asked

"I don't know I just got a headache and fainted, but now I feel full of energy." I said even though I felt a little weak and had an idea as to what caused my headache but I didn't want her to worry.

She just smiled and went to make food, after eating dinner in silence as we usually did I went to sleep.

I couldn't sleep, the excitement from finally getting my Quirk didn't let me sleep so I started experimenting with my quirk.

I tried examining my brain first, it looked just like it was shown in the images, just a red intertwined mess.

I dug deeper and saw billions upon billions of neurons tightly packed together, they looked even more clustered that in the diagrams, I assumed that that was the change my quirk bought, it increased the brains size and made it more compact at the same time.

Next I messed with the atoms in the air, I tried removing and adding electrons randomly, shuffling the atoms around lumping them with each other but since this was happening on the atomic level it wasn't visible from the naked eye.

As I was messing about I noticed my mom quietly get up and look at me for a second, I pretended to be asleep and a few seconds later she went outside the shack.

I assumed she went to go to the washroom or something and just went back to messing with my quirk till I fell asleep.

I woke up relatively early in the morning, earlier than I usually do and surprisingly I found my mom awake talking to some men in black suits and black goggles.

They noticed me wake up and rushed at me before I even had the time to react and grabbed both my arms putting handcuffs on them.

"What are you doing?" I yelled at them.

"We are from the Public Hero Safety Commission and you are coming with us." they replied.

I started at my mom in a questioning gaze and she just stared at me emotionlessly as she looked at one of the people from the PHSC, a woman dresses in black who said nothing and handed her a black suitcase.

I sensed the contents of the suitcase and it consisted of bundles of paper.

"You sacrificed your own son for money?" I asked my mo- no this woman doesn't deserve to be a mother.

"This money is way more useful that you could ever be" she replied calmly.

I grew frustrated and summoned a dozen sharp pieces of glass and was about to shoot them at her when one of the men electrocuted me with a taser knocking me unconscious.

As I felt the consciousness slowly drifting from me I stared at the woman who unfortunately, gave birth to me and engraved her face into my mind determined to have my revenge one day.
