19: Matches Continue (II)

Minutes earlier...

"I see. It only works on nonliving objects?" Momo asked her partner, receiving a nod.

"That's fine. I can work with that..."

It only took a few moments before she exclaimed, "I got it!"

"All Might-sensei did not specify that the Nuclear Weapon could not be taken out of the room..." the intelligent girl voiced out, looking at the weapon.

A light came out of her palm as an exact replica of the Weapon was created, their size being the only difference.

When Momo showed the replica to Yui, her partner's eyebrows rose as she finally understood her plan.

And so, after enlarging the replica to the same size as the original, they made the original smaller. Small enough to fit in Yui's pocket. Inside the replica was an enlarged fog machine, courtesy of both of their quirks.

They left the room and waited for their opponents to go inside.

...

"Ehhh!??"

They quickly barged into the room with Yui wearing infrared goggles and holding a small net.

She hastily threw it and a dim light surrounded the net as it increased in size.

"How-!"

"Success," Momo said, joy eminent in her voice.

Uraraka quickly tried to make the net float, but both she and Koji promptly fell asleep when a sleep gas grenade appeared right beside them.

"Villain Team Wins!!!" All Might announced.

"Great work, Kodai-san," Momo commented, her voice slightly muffled from the breathing mask she wore just after she threw the grenade.

Team E: Yoarashi and Tokoyami VS Team I: Todoroki and Ojiro

"Let's go capture some Villains, Tokoyacchi!" Yusuke shouted, feeling thrilled.

"I will help you in the shadows, Yoarashi-san." the bird-headed student replied.

<BEEP!!!>

The Hero Team immediately rushed inside the building, but Yusuke promptly stopped and smiled as an idea came into his mind.

"You go on, Tokoyacchi. I'll survey the building from outside and tell you their location when I find them." the blonde teen told his partner.

"Understood," he replied, a shadow-like thumbs up extending out of his chest.

Yusuke looked for an open window and jumped out of it. Gale picked him up before he could hit the ground, aiding him from his surveillance.

Finding nothing on the second floor, he moved on to the third.

As he circled the building, he saw two people on the third floor. A bi-colored-haired student staring right at the window, while a tailed teen was focusing on the door.

It wasn't long before the Villain Team spotted him and a small iceberg broke the window, aiming for the blonde teen.

A strong gust helped Yusuke dodge the attack as he quickly put a finger to his ear, telling his partner, "Third floor, to the right from the entrance. Be careful of the tail person guarding the door."

Receiving an "I'm coming, Yoarashi-san.", he nodded to himself, before sending several blades of wind at the iceberg sticking out of the window.

It pierced the ice, but due to its sheer thickness, Yusuke's attack couldn't penetrate nor slice it off in one go. He stopped and thought of a plan. The blonde teen swiftly flew to the other side of the building and went inside through a window.

He ran towards the room where Todoroki and Ojiro were. Outside of the room, he saw Tokoyami preparing to knock down the door. Yusuke quickly told him, "Wait!", from their earpiece, not wanting to alert his enemies if he shouted.

The blonde teen sighed in relief when the bird-headed teen halted.

"Since they covered the windows in ice, the room will be quite dark, meaning your quirk will be stronger, Tokoyacchi." he whispered as he arrived at his side.

"Following that, I need you to cause a distraction. Just for a couple of seconds or so." Yusuke instructed him.

"Understood, Yoarashi-san."

"Leave it to us, Smiley." a shadowy figure said with a thumbs up.

"Let's go, Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami shouted as his quirk knocked down the door, alerting the people inside.

Once the raven-headed teen rushed into the room, Dark Shadow grew bigger. Ojiro dashed towards him, attacking him with his tail, but the enlarged Dark Shadow simply grabbed the boy, tossing him across the room.

While this was all happening inside, Yusuke was outside, reenacting the move he used on the softball back from the Apprehension Test. However, instead of the ball, he was in front of the intense swirling wind.

...

Back inside the room...

Tokoyami didn't take into account Ojiro's teammate, since he noticed the ice coming towards him, simply too late.

Just as he was about to be devoured by the ice, a strong gust of wind entered the room as a blonde-haired student darted inside, shouting with a smile, "Gale Slingshot!"

The strong gust of wind blew Tokoyami out of the way, and Yusuke then hugged the Nuclear Weapon.

"Hero Team Wins!!!"

The bi-colored-haired student widened his eyes, muttering, "I... lost?"
