45 Chapter 45: The Not So Great Escape

[SO sorry this is up so late readers... My WiFi has been down literally all day... Been a Nightmare...]

All Might stares down at the unconscious girl and clenches his fist 'I'm Sorry Sekizō... Because Of My Weakness And Selfishness You've Been Forced Into This State... I Swear To You. I Will Repay Your Actions Today Ten- No. A Hundredfold!'

Ojiro comes running over, his front entirely blackened and hair all poofy "Guys...! What happened...!?"

Todoroki folds his arms "She defeated the Monster"

"Sh-she did...? Wow... She really did save All Might..." He stares at Hitomi with clear respect on his face

"Come Along Students" All Might rests his hands on Todoroki and Ojiro's backs "Go And Gather With Your Classmates... Someone Will Need To Carry The Class Rep"

"No wait a minute I have an idea!" Ojiro launches himself with his tail and starts quickly heading away "I'll be right back!!"

"Uhhh..." All Might blinks... Then gives a thumbs up "Ok!"

"A-All Might...? Sh-she'll be ok...? Right...?" Toru looks up at him... The occasional tear still falling free...

Despite not being able to see her... All Might can hear the tears in her voice... "Of Course She Will! Have No Fear Young Hagakure" he rests his hands on his hips "Her Valiant Efforts Will Be Rewarded By A Full Recovery! Of That I Have No Doubts"

Ojiro comes running back with a scorched and battered ladder dragging behind him "We can use this as a stretcher" he pants

All Might's smile widens "Exceptional Thinking Young Ojiro! That's Using Your Noggin" he lays a giant hand on Ojiro's shoulder "You And Your Classmate Can Carry Her Away To Safety"

"All Might" Todoroki comes over "What about the Villains?"

"I Shall Remain Here To Guard Them Until Backup Arrives" he glances towards Kurogiri "And Perhaps Enlist Young Bakugo To Aid Me In That Endeav- Ahem..." He clears his throat

Midoriya and Kirishima come over... Midoriya supporting Kirishima and Kirishima with blood dripping from the hand shaped wound on his chest

Kirishima raises a hand in greeting "Hey guys... D'you need help...?"

"Young Man Sit Down This Instant! You Shouldn't Be Moving With A Wound Like That" All Might folds his arms and looks at the redhead sternly

"Ok..." Midoriya gently lowers him down onto his butt "So how's the Class Rep doing...?"

"She Seems Stable For Now... We'll Know More After She's Been Examined..." He sighs and shakes his head... "I'm Sorry This Happened..."

"I-I can help carry her?" Midoriya goes over as Ojiro and Todoroki transfer Hitomi to the makeshift stretcher as gently and as gentlemanly as possible...

"No need Midoriya, me and Todoroki got this" Ojiro smiles at the Hot 'N Cold boy who nods back and they both lift the stretcher, Ojiro in the back due to his tail

Toru comes over with Hitomi's visor and puts it in place over her eyes "Here you go Hitomi... So you don't need to worry..."

"Alright Students, Be On Your Way Now" All Might shoos them away "I'm Sure Young Ida Will Return With Reinforcements Any Moment Now"

Toru helps support Kirishima while Ojiro and Todoroki carry the ladder/stretcher baring Hitomi away... Toru sending constant nervous glances Hitomi's way as they walk...

Midoriya however stays by All Might's side... "Hey... Are you sure you'll be ok guarding these guys until backup gets here...?" He subtly holds up three fingers...

All Might chuckles and pats him on the back "I Will Be Fine Young Midoriya! You Run Along To Safety"

"Yeah... Ok... If you're sure All Might..." He turns away and sees Bakugo still pinning Kurogiri "Oh Kacchan! Do you need any help?"

He snarls! "Like hell I'd ever need help from a looser like you Deku!! If you come near my capture you're dead!!!"

Midoriya scrambles backwards in fear despite being a near twenty meters away already "I-I-I'm sorry Kacchan...!!"

All Might's eyes widen "Midoriya wai-!!"

The ice covering Shigaraki shatters and explodes into mist! And Midoriya, who has accidentally backed up close to the creepy Villain, feels an arm wrap around his chest and a hand grip his throat! With the pinky slightly raised

All Might goes to rush forward "Midoriya!!"

The retreating classmates all turn and each share their own cries of Midoriya's name! Apart from Hitomi for obvious reasons

"Don't!! Move!! All Might." Shigaraki grips Midoriya's throat tighter "I can do way worse than I did to Eraser Head's arm! And with my hand at his throat like this even if you do move fast enough to stop me I can still kill this whimpy brat!" He whispers in Midoriya's ear "And if you try anything like you did before... It won't and well"

Midoriya trembles and stares at All Might "I-I'm sorry All Might...! I-!"

All Might holds up a hand to silence him "No Time For That Now Young Midoriya, Just Remain Still. I Will Save You"

"Ahehe! You will number one?" Shigaraki pulls Midoriya tighter against him "I don't think so!" He starts scratching his face with his free hand "This is wrong... Me having to take a hostage... This is all wrong!! This was supposed to be easy!! Nomu was supposed to kill you but instead he was defeated...!! And it wasn't even you that did it...!! It was some stupid little girl...!! I'll get her for that..."

Midoriya grunts as he's squeezed even tighter! 'This guy's crazy!'

Shigaraki continues his rant "A weak NPC can't defeat the final boss!! That's not how it works! You're all cheaters!! Cheaters!! Cheaters!! Cheaters!! Play the game right or don't play at all!!"

All Might grits his teeth "Hey!!"

"Huh?" He glares at All Might through the fingers of his face hand "Don't you know it's rude to interrupt someone when they're talking Hero...?"

"Your Beef Is With Me Right?" He raises his hands in surrender "Let The Boy Go And We Can Duke it Out Man To Man"

"Heh... I know I can't fight you All Might... At least not yet." He sighs... "Tell that Tryhard brat over there to release Kurogiri"

"What the hell did you call me you creepy bastard!?" Bakugo slams poor Kurogiri into the ground again

"Careful kiddo. If you keep damaging Kurogiri my finger might twitch" he grins under the hand "You wouldn't want me to hurt your little friend here would you?"

"Screw you he's not my friend!! I don't give a crap about 'im!!" He grips Kurogiri harder

Tears well up in Midoriya's eyes... "Kacchan..."

Ojiro slams the ground with his tail "What the hell Bakugo!?"

Kurogiri slightly raises his head "Tomura Shigaraki... Speaking with him seems usele-" Bakugo explodes his neck again "Gah!!"

"Young Bakugo!!" All Might can't help but get angry at Bakugo's disregard for someone else's safety... "That Is No Way For A Hero To Behave!"

"Tsh" Bakugo grits his teeth and rolls his eyes

"Now, Release That, Kurogiri Guy" he sighs... 'I Have To Protect Young Midoriya... I Can't Risk His Safety...'

"What!? No way!! I'm not gonna let a Villain go!" His grip on Kurogiri almost starts denting the neck armour

"Do It Now! That Is An Order!" He frowns and clecnhes his raised hands 'I Don't Like It Either Young Bakugo... But We Have No Choice...'

Bakugo growls and looks like he's about to burst a blood vessel... But then he grabs Kurogiri with both hands and throws him in Shigaraki's direction!

Kurogiri grunts in pain as he tumbles across the ground and when he comes to a stop he glares at Bakugo "I will take great pleasure in ending your existence boy"

All Might stomps his foot, cracking the ground "All Right... Your Comrad Has Been Released. Now Let Young Midoriya Go"

"Tomura Shigaraki, do not release the hostage yet, we can use him as leverage to further our goals" Kurigiri looms behind Shigaraki

"I know Kurogiri! I'm not a fool" He glares back at his cloudyan servant "I don't need you to state the obvious"

"Uhhh... All Might...?" Toru calls from the small group on students "The uh... The other Villains are waking up...!"

The canon fodder Villians are indeed slowly getting to their feet with groans and moans of pain...

Kirishima shifts himself off Toru's support and raises his fists "We can take em..."

"Don't worry, I can handle them easily" Todoroki glares at his new opponents

Kurogiri leans down to Shigaraki "Look, our underlings are recovering. We likely still have a few minutes before their reinforcements arrive. We can use this chance to make our escape and take a few of these children with us along with Nomu"

"This isn't fair! I want to kill All Might!" He turns to Kurogiri "Why are you so useless huh!? Instead of trying to run away figure out how to fix Nomu! If Nomu was here he'd rush All Might right now! Pound him into the ground without giving it a second thought!"

"Please... We must flee to fight another day..." He looks at All Might "You can not kill All Might if you are in prison..."

"We can make him beat himself up by threatening this one" he cackles and shakes Midoriya "It'll be hilarious! Even better than Nomu!"

Midoriya starts suddenly struggling and gets free but Shigaraki grabs his wrist "Enough...! I won't let you use me to hurt All Might...!!"

"Hey! Hold Still you little brat!" Shigaraki struggles to keep hold of him!

Midoriya keeps struggling! 'Without me there's nothing stopping All Might beating them...! They can't kill me or they're finished...!!'

BANG!!

Shigaraki's hand suddenly spurts blood and he releases Midoriya "Gah!!"

Everybody turns towards the entrance as more gunshots sound out and Principle Nezu calls out loudly for all to hear "Sorry, everyone! I know we're a bit late! But I got the teachers over here as fast as I could!"

Ojiro breathes a sigh of relief "Thank goodness..."

All Might folds his arms "It's Time To Give It In Villians."

From the entrance there's an agonizingly loud "YYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

Shigaraki grips his wounded wrist "Aw, man. The pros are here! It's game over. For real. Let's go home and try this when we can have a more solid victory..."

"You Really Think I'd Let You Go!?" All Might stalks towards them with a furious expression on his face

Kurogiri opens a portal in front of him and a huge torrent of pressurised salt water blasts out and crashes into him "Shigaraki we must go!" As more bullets fly towards them Kurogiri wraps his dark cloud around Shigaraki

As for Shigaraki... He stares at All Might as he's fighting against the water "I may have failed to kill you this time, but your days are numbered!! All Might! Symbol of Peace! I am going to kill you."

As more shots harmlessly hit Kurogiri and the wounded Thirteen comes forward to capture him he gives a final bow into a warp gate with Shigaraki before she can even open her finger tips...

The warp gate spewing water stops and All Might stands there fuming. A jellyfish clung on the side of his face

Midoriya looks around "Are... Are they gone...?"

"Maybe..." All Might starts making his way towards the Nomu statue and as he does a warp gate opens below it! "Oh No You Don't!!"

He digs his hand into the cement below and rips out a large chunk before hurling it as hard as he can at the sinking statue, hitting it in the back and causing cracks the spread all over it before it shatters into many many pieces and sinks out of sight...

"Damn It... I Didn't Want To Do That..." steam starts slowly trailing off of him 'Oh C'mon...! That Put Me Over My Limit!?'

He sighs... "I'll Need To Be Off Now Young Midoriya... We Will Talk Later... And Know I Don't Blame You For Anything That Happened Here Today..." He gently pats Midoriya's shoulder and makes his way out of sight...

"And that's how the Villians escaped..." Toru finishes telling a bedridden Hitomi later in the late afternoon

"Well..." She feeds a peanut to her snakes "Fuck..."
