Speed Running to Cannon 2

Four years has passed. Within those years Izuku has grown into a very bright and mature young man. Keeping his promise to his mother, to have high marks in school. Izuku being the mama's boy that he is went further beyond that and got full marks on everything. Being the number one student in terms of grades alone in his school.

Now we can see him doing the one thing that he seems to only know. Training. Unfortunately, Izuku has become a bit of a social outcast. Due to constantly wanting to train instead of interacting with others. Despite this, Izuku can communicate with others besides his mother and master. You may be thinking to yourself, 'how is that possible?' Well, another thing the young man had to learn was being a gentleman while growing a tolerance to any and all 'suggestive' words and actions that the girls in his school try to put on him.

Izuku wasn't the only person to grow. The young men and women in his school have also grown. With hormones flying in the air for both genders, you have varying results. The boys have a surge of testosterone in their bodies and have become more aggressive than usual towards Izuku. They feel inferior to Izuku and are jealous to his physique.

Now being 15 years old. Standing at 5'10" and weighing around 170lbs with a body carved out of marble. Izuku is on track to growing the dream body type that all men desire. With narrow and sharp features on his face, Izuku gives of a serious and a bit of a mysterious vibe. Raven black hair with green tips matching his electric green eyes and smooth tan skin. The only thing that hasn't changed was his hair style.

For the young women, they have grown bold with anything concerning Izuku. Doing anything to get his attention when he walks in the halls. Coming up with any excuse to feel him up. From doing erotic poses to saying suggestive words, to 'accidently' tripping on him and love letters. Izuku had to shut down these advances. However, one crazy girl was successful with getting a hand under Izuku's shirt. By literally jumping and diving at Izuku, claiming that she tripped, toppled Izuku to the ground and landed on top of him. Not letting this opportunity go. The crazy fangirl managed to get a whole hand full on his abs, feeling the carved abs. This incident was shared with the other fangirls and now the crazy fangirl is the new leader of their cult.

From that moment on, Izuku doesn't dare to walk down the hallways of school. He now has been using is hard earned speed, moving in blurring speeds to all untrained eyes. Zipping to and from all his classes.

Moving on from that and to the thing that actually matters, Izuku's training has produced amazing results for someone that's quirkless. Powerful enough to curb stomp most close quarter combat types, however Izuku will still struggle against those with long and wide range quirks. There is only so much a person could do that is quirkless, a difficult pill to swallow for anyone with the same status.

Now standing in the middle of a clearing near Master Kaito's cabin in the woods. Izuku and Master Kaito are standing face to face.

"You have learned well these past few years Izuku, picking up everything I have thrown at you. I am impressed with your development." Says the old master while twisting the one of the ends of his mustache with his right hand. Leaving his left hand behind his back.

"I owe it all to you master." Responded Izuku with a smile.

"Hn" Master Kaito stays silent for a moment. During the silence, a breeze blows in and ruffles the grass and leaves of the forest. Birds are chirping and insects are buzzing.

"Today is the last day that I am your master." Suddenly speaks out Kaito in his usual calm tone.

"Why is that so master?" simply asked Izuku. Holding on to whatever thoughts and questions he may have till Kaito is done speaking.

"My life has become limited now. I'm no longer physically capable to be your master anymore. I have lung cancer; I have been hiding it from you for years now." Dropping the bomb on Izuku. Everything has gone motionless. The wind stopped blowing. Everything in the forest has stopped moving and making any sounds.

With wide eyes Izuku takes a shakey step towards the person that has taught him everything he knows. The one person that Izuku for the first time ever truly believed was invincible. His master. Has a potentially fatal cancer.

Taking more steps with his hand stretched out trying to reach for his master to preventing him from going anywhere. "Please tell me.. Can it still be treated?" With a pleading tone, asks his master, praying to any god out there listening in. To give light on this tragic development.

"No, the cancer has spent many years dormant in my lungs till finally making itself known a few years ago. It has spread too quickly for any forms of treatment to combat against it." Kaito informs his student, with a sullen look.

Izuku trips on his own feet and falls to his hands and knees actively crying. Letting out all of his tears. Letting them flow down his face and land on the grass that he is hanging over.

Master Kaito walks over to his student. The kid that he has taken great joy in teaching. Kneels down with Izuku and putting his hand on Izuku's shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze.

"Izuku. Look at me."

Izuku raises his head from the ground, quieting down his sobs but still letting tears fall. He looks into the silver orbs of his now dying master.

"After all these years I have never once told you anything about myself. Not even if I was quirkless or not. You even have never once asked about why I decided to teach you. You just accepted me as your new master and carried on. Doing exactly what I say and performing wonderfully. While also taking in everything that I have said. You are the ideal student, and I couldn't be prouder."

Izuku now struggling even harder to hold back his sobs. This is the very first time Master Kaito has ever said that he was proud of Izuku. Sitting on his knees and raising his hands from the ground. He puts his hands over his mouth to detain his sobs. His vision going blurry with all the tears in his eyes. Kaito separates his hand from Izuku and continues.

"I used to have a fire quirk, my quirk was breathing in and out flames. Nothing powerful like the hero Endeavor but it was still a great ability. The quirk was both an emitter and an enhancer quirk, very versatile. While breathing in my flames I could gain tremendous boosts in my physical abilities. Breathing out I could produce stream of flames as a long-range attack. Only as long as I have a heart full of love and passion, I can continue to use these flames."

"The doctors theorize that my quirk was the cause for the cancer as I have never smoked or inhaled anything other than oxygen."

Master Kaito pauses as Izuku wipes his puffy pink eyes with his shirt. Izuku trying to mimic his master and be like a stone. Stops his tears and cries.

Kaito seeing his student pulling himself together continues. "In the past I was a hero, my hair used to be blonde, and my eyes were colored like a fire. I was a very passionate hero. I used to be charismatic, lively, and obnoxiously loud. A bundle of energy for the people around me to use to fuel their own happiness. My goal back then was to simply be a true hero. Like how you are trying to be Izuku."

Izuku chuckles sadly to the thought of Master Kaito being like that. It was as if he was the generic shounen protagonist type.

Resuming his words, Master Kaito begins again. "Back then I had a wife and a son. Both of them were my world. My son always looked up to me and wanted to be like me. While my wife was my rock, and I was hers. We lived normal everyday lives and were happy. One day I was out late doing hero work, when suddenly I received a call from the local sheriff. When I answered the call, He informed me that my family was involved in a tragedy. Rushing over as fast as my legs could go, I got the scene of the crime."

Staring into the eyes of the young man in front of him, Izuku is fully invested in his master's story. They were still kneeling on the ground across from each other.

Seeing his student's eyes hardened. The master continued.

"When I was there. I stared down at the lifeless bodies of my family. They were killed from gunshot wounds. Finding out that the crime happened two hours ago and getting the description of the male killer from nearby witnesses. I immediately set off to find the man. After only 30 minutes of hunting, I found him frolicking in some alley. Seeing this, all I saw was red and before I knew it. I was standing over the bloody and beaten form of the killer. The murderer could only cower in fear and ask that he was sorry for killing the woman and child. As he has never meant to. Only wanting to steal some jewelry and money from them. However, this wasn't the right words to say to me. I, without any sort of hesitation and without any form of mercy. Abandoning my own oath that I swore. I betrayed the principles of being a hero. I turned the family killer to ashes."

After he said those words, Kaito didn't know how Izuku would react to this. Would his student look down on him for slandering the name of a hero? Would Izuku fear him? Kaito didn't know. He does know that Izuku always wanted to be a true hero. His own actions were exactly like a man hell bend on revenge.

For Izuku, He could only feel for his master. He himself has never experienced true lost. Master Kaito may have killed but he isn't a monster. His master was only a man that has dealt with tremendous loss and pain. Izuku may not agree with his master actions, but If he himself was in that situation he doesn't know what could've happened.

"I may not agree with your actions, however I don't know what would happen if I was in your shoes. The results could have been the same. I still respect you and nothing between us will change. You are still my master, and I am you student. You accepted me so I will accept you." Izuku declares, breaking all tension in the air.

Master Kaito gives a ghost of a smile towards his student. "Thank you."

The wind picks up in the forest and continues to blow throughout the forest and the animals continue making their noises. The master and student duo, skips training for the day and just sat around the fire and continues talking with one another.

Hours past and the sun is beginning to set in the horizon. Izuku still has school going on. Master Kaito only called Izuku over so he could share his news and story to him.

Getting off the log and picking up his backpack and slinging it onto his back. Master Kaito speaks out, "Remember back then we were talking about the fire and I said that I would be interested in how you would cultivate the fire inside you?" asks Kaito.

"Yes, I remember. Fire represents the hearts of man, and also being one of the greatest inventions." Izuku recalls.

"That is correct. There was more I wanted to say so please listen." Master Kaito stands up and walks around the fire. Putting the fire between himself and Izuku.

"What I wanted to convey to you is my will. I only taught you how to build your body and how to fight. As a master I have never shared my belief and my will to you. I would like it if you would adopt my will." Kaito makes his request.

Izuku nods his head to his master. Beckoning for him to continue.

"Izuku, please be the hero I know you can be. Someone that is righteous and courageous. Be someone that will do anything to save everyone. Be the flame that illuminates the night and warms the hearts of many. Be faithful and breathe hope into everyone when the times get painful." Master Kaito finishes.

"I will remember these words of yours, master." Izuku storing this moment into his memory banks.

"Oh, and before I forget Izuku." Grabbing the attention of said person. Master Kaito says his final words to Izuku. Not that Izuku knows this.

"For generations, my family always had a fire quirk and before the immergence of quirks. We were all about martial arts. A martial art style that would mimic a flame. During all of this we had a saying, whenever a time comes that you feel that you somehow aren't enough.." Master Kaito intentionally pauses.

Izuku leans in closer, the suspense is causing Izuku to become impatient. Before speaking out. "What is it master?"

Master Kaito smiles brightly, Causing Izuku to become alert. Kaito finally let his words be known.

"Set your heart ablaze."
