Lesson One

The next morning, Izuku and Master Kaito are outside. They are sitting around at the campfire. Finishing up breakfast. With the young pupil moving funny and way too sluggish, due to the wrist and ankle weights.

"Izuku." Master Kaito suddenly says in a little too chilly tone.

"Yes master?"

The master doesn't say anything. In a sudden burst of speed. He kicks up a dust cloud and launches further north into the forest. Izuku for all he is worth, does his best to keep up. Running after the human speeding bullet named Master Kaito.

Running and running he begins to breathe heavily, Not seeing the master and only seeing the trail he has made. Izuku knows that the trail was made on purpose. Analyzing the first ever encounter with Master Kaito. He recalls the way that his master jumped off the roof and landing without any sound nor vibrations. Shaking his head out his thoughts, Izuku keeps up the hustle and as quickly his legs can carry him. He follows the trail.

As Izuku is running. He notices the thick trees of the forest finally start to thin out. At long last, the green eyed boy is able to see open blue skies. He looks straight ahead. Eyes widening in epic proportions, he comes face to face with a mountain. Standing at the foot of the massive piece of earth, looking up, the mighty mountaintop hidden behind the clouds in the sky. He notices Master Kaito's trail going up the mountain. With a deep sigh he begins his 'fun' adventure.

Drenched in sweat, with Izuku's clothes clung onto him like a second skin. Breathing harder and harder he ascends up the colossal mountain. Getting up to the halfway point from the ground and the clouds. Still unable to see the peak. Izuku struggles to catch air into his lungs. The air getting thinner and thinner with each step. Slowing down, not used to these conditions. Rapidly ballooning his lungs and letting all the built-up carbon dioxide out.

'It's getting harder and harder to catch my breath!' Clutching the center of his chest, where his lungs would be. 'My lungs are burning! It feels like I'm suffocating!' Dropping to his knees and opening his mouth has wide it can go, hyperventilating, trying his best to get the sweet oxygen into his body. 'No matter how matter how many breathes I take, Its getting worse and worse! "Get a hold of yourself Izuku! You can do this!" Addressing only himself. Izuku takes a deep breathe. Getting his brain to spark alive and activating his flight or fight response. Sending signals to the heart to start beating harder than any drum could. Adrenaline surging into the veins.

Feeling more energized than start of his training. He shoots off of his feet and double times his way to the peak. Hoping to catch up on lost time.

Finally getting up past the clouds, he finds his master in a meditative position. With closed eyes he turns his head towards Izuku. "Sure, took a while." He notes.

Izuku too tired to respond. Nods to this.

Master Kaito gets up from his seated form and starts running down the mountain. Izuku already knowing the drill, runs after him. With his new way of breathing. Taking in deep breathes in a rhythmical fashion, makes things tremendously easier. Running down the mountain following his master's trail once again. Still unable to see the back of Kaito, taking the same route that he took to get up the mountain.

Once arriving at camp Izuku collapses. Laying on his back and looking up the sky taking gulps of air. He takes note that it is already around sun set as the sky is orange in color. Lighting up the area with the same color.

Master Kaito, who have been sipping on some tea by a newly lit fire. With a new fish roasting above the flames. Getting up from the log and taking a pace of leisure towards Izuku. He simply stands over his student and studies him. After a moment silence between the two. With the exception of Izuku's loud breathing.

"You didn't give up. Good." Turning around, taking a couple steps then stops, Kaito continues. "Try to be faster next time." Looking over his should towards the boy. "You have done well in learning on how to breathe properly. Breathing is the most important thing during combat. By simply learning the proper way of taking in oxygen, your performance in this training has effectively doubled." Slightly praising his student.

In Izuku's ears didn't pick up the praise. Only focusing on his master's teachings.

Turning around to fully face his young student. He continues. "It took you too long to complete this little run. You must be faster. The goal for you is to finish running up and down the mountain before lunch time. I don't care how long it takes you to do this. But this is what you will be doing until you can get it done." Saying his piece, Master Kaito returns to the fire and prepares dinner for them both.

Getting up to eat and walking towards the closest log, sitting down. Kaito hands him a plate full of fish with a new addition of a side of rice. Thanking his master, he digs in.

Master gets up from the fire and walks towards the cabin. "After dinner, head east. There is a stream there. Go clean up." Then vanishing from his view. Most likely in the cabin, Izuku assumes.

Finishing up with his meal. The young hero in training makes his way east. Walking for 50 meters then cutting in between some bushes, he reaches the shore of the stream. The water was clear, undisturbed from any meddling from humans. Stripping down nude and jumping in the stream he begins to scrub himself. The depth of the water reaching up to his mid belly. Perfect for him to quick get the sweat and grime off his body. After his skinny dipping. He notices fresh clothes hanging on the lower branches of the trees near the bushes from where he came from.

Looking at the clothes, Izuku knows that the clothes came from his master because he is the only other person in the forest besides himself. It was truly unexpected for Master Kaito to do this. With his cold and emotionless personality that he always seems to have. Maybe the master does have something warm under that cold shell that he always seems to have on.

Getting up from the water and making his way to the shore. Drying himself off thoroughly, Izuku walks towards the fresh clothes. Putting them on. It was the extra pair of clothes that he packed for this little summer 'vacation'.

Picking up his sweat filled clothing. Izuku makes his way towards camp. Getting inside the cabin. Throwing his clothes into a plastic bag that he brought to keep his dirty clothes in. He makes his way to his bed. Sitting on it, then looking opposite of him he sees his master laying on his side facing the wall his bed is pressed against.

"Thank you for bringing me my clothes. I will make sure to bring a pair with me next time." Izuku truly thankful for his master's actions.

Receiving nothing for a response. Izuku lays down in his bed. "Goodnight, Master." Then closes his eyes and swiftly falling into a slumber.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Continuing on with the same routine, waking up, eating breakfast, then sprinting like its your last day alive. Eating dinner, cleaning himself then finally sleeping. This goes on for the rest of the week and on the seventh day. Izuku manages to finish his run before the sun got to the highest point in the sky signifying high noon. Izuku feeling a intense sense of achievement. He feels like he can take on the world. Too bad his master only gave Izuku a simply 'good job' then handing him a 20lb weighted vest, increasing the total weight that he is carrying to 80lbs total. With existing wrist and ankle weights being 15lbs each.

"Now that you got done with the beginners' basics. Now it's time to move onto the more intermediate stuff. I hope you are ready because it will only get harder and harder from here on out." Master Kaito warning Izuku.

"I will handle anything you throw at me." With a steeled tone. Full of vigor and ready for what is next on the list.

Master Kaito simply nods and tells Izuku that training will resume tomorrow morning.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fast forward to the next morning.

Master and student are standing outside facing each other. Giving one another a cold look.

"Give me your legs." Not waiting for Izuku to respond. The master vanishes from view then reappears just as fast. Izuku blinking rapidly not sure is his master is that fast or he is starting to see things. But with all the things that he has seen is master do. Izuku sums up that Kaito is just really that fast.

Then like a late reaction. Once Izuku finished that thought, he lost his balance and falls backwards. Landing on his back with a thud. Good thing he landed on grass. Izuku with clear confusing on his face. Looks down at his legs. They were tied up with a rope. The rope was so tight, Izuku couldn't even rub his ankles together.

Master Kaito begins his instruction to his student. With a calm tone. "Now to begin your intermediate training. You ran up and down the mountain before noon. Now you must hop up and down the mountain before noon. Good luck."

Blinking out of existence. Kaito disappears to do what only Master Kaito does. Whatever that could be. Izuku surely doesn't know.

Scrambling onto his feet. With a deep scowl on his face and eyes filled with determination. He bunny hops towards the mountain.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just like that, weeks have come and go, and the months lose their rightful place on the calendar. With Izuku continuing his mountainous climbing and completing whatever his master throws at him. From tying up his legs with rocks and making him run to tying both of his legs and having a boulder, the size on a traditional oven, strapped to his back and hop. Izuku did it all.

Today was the last day of summer, till Izuku needs to go back to school. The master and student duo are currently taking a more of a slower pace in there running as they make their way back to Izuku's house. 'Jogging' down the sidewalk, weaving in and out of crowds of people. Their speed maybe slow to them, but to others they are moving at speeds they seem like blurs. When they run past anybody the master and student pair generate strong winds from their speed alone. The winds that have enough force to blow up the skirts of any woman in their path, all the way up for the world to see their risky panties. Many men that witness this suffers from bloody noses as they fall on the floor unconscious.

Now appearing in front of Izuku's home. Master Kaito turns his head and faces his young student. "I will return next summer. Do your best and maintain your strength and take it alittle easy for the time being. The training that we did this summer puts tremendous strain on your body. You are still young and have a growing body. You will need all the rest it can get. and don't become soft." Saying with his usual tone. Then Master Kaito disappears. Going back to his cabin in the woods.

Smiling softly to himself and reliving the memories with his master. Izuku has grown close to his master. Even when the master barely speaks. Spending that one-on-one time with someone. No matter how long, brings the two together. But it doesn't seem the case to Master Kaito because that old man is colder than any winter.

Izuku looks up to Kaito. Master Kaito was his first mentor, with wisdom that rivals his scary speed. Shaking his head out of his thoughts. Izuku enters his house to give his mother the biggest hug imaginable.
