"Well, I will give you a chance." Alex put down the gun.
A sense of relief washed over Andre. He breathed a sigh of relief, thinking he had made the right bet this time. He never expected the other party to believe such an obviously flawed statement.
However, as he breathed that relief, he saw Alex reach into his pocket and pull out a small, sleek video camera.
A bad premonition suddenly appeared in Andre's heart, but he couldn't do anything about it. He watched as Alex turned on the camera, the small red light glowing in the dimly lit room, and focused it on him.
"Come on, repeat what you just said to the camera," Alex said with a sly grin, his eyes cold and calculating.
That smile looked like a devil from hell to Andre! Andre now understood that Alex was not deceived by his simple lie but that he didn't care whether it was a lie or not. Because when he said those words to the camera, the lie would become the truth!
But even if he knew this, Andre had no way to avoid it now because he could almost imagine that if he said a few more words of nonsense or refused to do so, a scorching bullet would pierce through his head in the next second. He had no choice but to finish the sentence with a sad face.
Alex's sly grin and calculating eyes added a menacing tone to the situation, making Andre feel like he was in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Alex's eyes glinted with a cruel light as he smiled at Andre,
"Since you had the idea of exposing all those and bringing these people to justice, I will give you an opportunity to do so.."
Andre felt a lump form in his throat as he realized he was now a fish on the chopping board, ready to be slaughtered. He could only nod in response, unsure of what Alex had in store for him.
Alex finally found the key from the corpse, and with a sense of both luck and dread, he inserted it into the keyhole and turned it to open the door. Inside, he found a room filled with girls placed directly on the sofa.
They were all stunningly beautiful, with graceful figures. Still, they only wore underwear and a tiny, see-through skirt.
They had obviously been given some kind of drug and had no strength to move. Their faces were pale, and their eyes were dull. Because of this, they had not been controlled by more severe means and were simply placed there, like "goods," waiting to be bought by officials or rich people who participated in underground auctions.
Alex scanned the room and soon found his target - Kimberly Mills, Brian's daughter, who was also lying on the sofa with blank eyes and a distant gaze. Alex realized that Kim was conscious but paralyzed from the drugs.
"It's gonna be alright. Kim, your dad, will be here to get you in a second." He assured her. Kim slowly fell into a peaceful sleep.
"How long is it until the auction starts?" Alex asked while gently placing Kim down on the pillion he got from Andre.
"About...five minutes?" Andre answered, his voice trembling as he cast a self-aware glance at the clock on the wall. The large, ornate clock seemed to mock him, ticking away the seconds until the auction began.
"Five minutes is enough more than enough," Alex said with a determined glint in his eyes as he scanned the room, taking in the drugged and helpless girls.
"You are leaving?" Andre echoed, his mind racing as he tried to devise a plan.
Finally, it can end as long as Alex takes his people away. Everyone who saw him was dead, so he could pretend to be ignorant and continue going to the auction without anyone suspecting him!
Wait, so it really can be considered perfect stealth? But while Andre was still lost in thought, Alex looked at him with a strange glint.
"When did I say I was leaving?" Alex asked, his tone cold and calculating. Now he needs to get revenge, spread chaos, and have fun.
"Ah?" Andre stammered, taken aback. "You... aren't leaving?"
"I meant that five minutes is enough to take out the rest of these trash." Alex patted Andre on the shoulder, his touch firm and reassuring. He walked towards the door with purpose, his hand reaching for the doorknob.
Andre couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, that Alex had something more sinister in mind. He knew that Alex was not to be underestimated, and the thought of what he might be planning made Andre's blood run cold.
As Alex reached for the doorknob, Andre couldn't help but ask, "What are you going to do?"
Alex turned to look at him. His eyes were cold and unreadable. "Don't worry about it. Just trust me."
And with that, he opened the door and stepped out into the corridor, leaving Andre standing there, unsure what to do next.
But as the seconds ticked by and the auction drew closer, Andre knew he had no choice but to follow Alex and go along with whatever he had planned. He could only hope that it wouldn't be a fatal mistake.
"Let's go, auctioneer." Alex beckoned to Andre from outside the door with a polite tone, his smile hiding a hint of sinister intentions. "Please lead the way."
Andre couldn't help but wish he could roll his eyes and pass out right now, but he didn't trust his acting skills, and even if he did pass out...he doubted he would wake up again. So, why not just follow this lunatic and take a gamble?
They arrived at the underground auction venue, where the bidders were in soundproof boxes. The boxes formed a semicircle with the auction platform as the center.
Only a beam of light fell on the auction platform. The rest were in darkness. This protected the bidders' privacy and allowed them to see the pros and cons of the "goods" while also giving off a mysterious religious atmosphere.
Brian stood behind a man with a stern expression on his face. He entered the box by killing the bodyguards and putting a gun on the rich man's head. His goal was successfully achieved. He thought, "The next step is to wait for news from Alex..."
As they walked further into the venue, Alex pulled out a sharp blade, and with a swift movement, he pierced it into the flesh of a guard who was constantly struggling. The blade cut through bone, and the guard's strength quickly waned. Alex's expression was indifferent as if he was taking a sip of water.
Alex didn't know what was happening with Brian, but he could guess a rough idea. After all, even without him in the original plan, Brian alone would have been able to subdue this auction. Unless a powerful opponent like Superman suddenly appeared, he would be able to hold his ground.
Andre couldn't help but tremble at the sight of Alex's deadly precision. It was like watching a master chef chop melons and vegetables with ease. The guards, who once seemed omnipotent and aloof in Andre's eyes, couldn't even fight against Alex.
"This is not only a lunatic but also a powerful lunatic!" Andre thought to himself, but as Alex's clearing operation continued, his thoughts began to shift.
"This person is so strong, as expected. Only the strong will have this level of self-confidence."
"Three minutes and fifty-eight seconds, almost perfect timing," Alex said, checking the time. "Come on, it's time to start the auction."
"Auction what?" Andre was confused. "There is nothing to auction."
But with a sly grin, Alex replied, "Of course, we will auction off some exotic goods. Just follow my lead."
Five minutes is just a short time for the rich people in the boxes or the people sent by the rich, and they naturally don't know what happened outside in this short period. Brian's phone vibrated, and he saw a text message from Alex. After reading the content, Brian's face was slightly weird, but then he was obviously relieved.
As long as his daughter is safe, he doesn't care how Alex plans to deal with these rich men. If it wasn't for the fact that he needed to get his daughter, he would have killed them all alone! With that, Brian went to the location Alex had texted him. He is going to get those girls out of here.
