When the man saw Derek's expression, a mild chuckle left his lips. "Shocked, eh? Well, both my legs are exo parts. nothing special."
Derek gazed at him. The man's eyes were clear. There wasn't an iota of pride, which meant he spoke with his heart.
'You have exo legs and you say you're nothing special.' he grimaced inwardly. Those legs had turned this man into a deadly killing machine the same as Jake.
Exo parts were no joke. Expensive, rare, and powerful, they were the best external parts anyone could get.
"Derek, this way, the androids are over there." Jake pointed to the other end of the hall. But Derek couldn't see the androids because a material covered them.
As they got closer to the androids, Derek paused. "Dude, we don't have much time," Jake called out while the other man watched with crossed arms.
