Mike's hand signals were all very simple and conveyed their meanings clearly, but they were a completely different system than the hand signals used in the military.
However, that wasn't really a problem. The hand signals used in the army also varied from one unit to another, and if Gao Guang could have a set of hand signals just between him and Mike, that would be ideal.
Gao Guang did have a talent for language learning, and these hand signals were after all a form of language, albeit a much simplified one. They weren't difficult to learn; it was simply a matter of practice.
"These are hand signals from my high school team. Don't worry, no one outside of that high school team can understand them. Just one signal from the quarterback, and I'd know what he wants to do. We should be the same. One sign from you, and I'll know what you're up to."
