First Delivery

Doctor Wu did not stay long and took the carriage back to town after dinner.

From the next day onwards, Lin Ran went to town early in the morning to learn medicine from Doctor Wu, and in the afternoon, she went up the mountain to pick herbs. Everyone in the village knew Lin Ran was Doctor Wu's disciple. Occasionally, when they had a headache or fever, they would come to Lin Ran for treatment and get some medicine.

When women gave birth, it was tricky with a male doctor. Since the old lady heard Lin Ran was Doctor Wu's disciple, she came to look for her. Firstly, she felt that since she was Doctor Wu's disciple, her medical skills were probably decent. Secondly, she was a woman. If her daughter-in-law really had a difficult delivery, she could go into the delivery room to take a look.

Li Ran agreed without hesitation when she heard it was a potentially difficult childbirth. Before she left, she avoided the old lady and went into the metaphysical medical hall. She took out some things that she felt she needed and placed them in the medical kit.

After preparing the things, she carried the medical kit and followed the old lady to the neighboring village.

In the neighboring village, Lin Ran had come once to treat Ma Erzhu. Today, the old lady who invited her lived not far from the Ma family. The old lady followed behind Lin Ran. When she heard the midwife's words, she immediately said, "Midwife Zhang, she's the doctor I invited."

"What doctor?" Midwife Zhang glanced at Lin Ran again and said to the old lady, "Old Madam Yang, are you being deceived? She's a young lady."

"I know. She's Doctor Wu's disciple. I heard that her medical skills are not bad. Don't worry."

Midwife Zhang looked at Lin Ran and wanted to say something, but at this moment, the pregnant woman cried out again. She had no time and went to check on the pregnant woman.
