SCP-079 Old AI

*Start*

Item #: SCP-079

Object Class: Euclid

"Again, it's easy to contain but you still have to pay attention." Natasha

Special Containment Procedures: (Go to the Wiki, The names of all the SCPs have been Redacted)

Description:...

"Ofcourse it had to be an AI" Banner

"One could argue that this isn't technically an anomaly." Natasha

"A code making improvements on its own isn't that big of a deal, all AI's do that none gain intelligence from doing that though." Tony explained.

"I mean Zola was capable of putting himself into a computer." Steve said

"I guess the SCP Foundation just makes sure he doesn't go all Ultron on them."Banner

"Well that piece of garbage can't compete against Jarvis let alone Ultron." Tony

"Hmmm... it's a sentient AI that doesn't have any commands, surely it can put up a fight." Barton

"Nope, this AI only has its memories for 24 hours, that 1 huge disadvantage right there, after that as the log says the hardware isn't good enough unless the SCP Foundation let's the AI upload itself onto the internet it's stands no chance." Tony lectured

"So if the AI uploads itself to the internet it will go all Ultron on them, is what you are saying." Natasha, Tony nodded in agreement.

"They should just dismantle it." Banner

"It's not everyday you run into a fully functional AI that you experiment upon, plus it doesn't seem that hard to keep it contained." Fury

"Let's keep watching, I am mostly useless in this discussion anyways." Thor said though he did have a preliminary idea of what AI means after fighting Ultron.

Addendum:

████████ (O5-4), 01/27/2006:....

"Makes sense" Banner

"What does O5-4 stand for... N007." Tony

*Ding please refer to the [ ]*

"After watching this perhaps." Tony

Addendum:

███████ ████ (O5-9), 01/28/2006:

"O5-9 this time, perhaps write them down could mean something." Barton

"Is anyone surprised that they didn't incinerate the computer." Thor asked knowing the answer.

"No not really." Steve, "It's an organisation that thinks it's doing with for the greater good but is only making things worse as a result." He finished

"And what makes you think that." Fury asked curiously

"Wouldn't it just be better to tell the world about SCP-096, if people knew about the existence of such things they would be able to provide more help." Steve made a case

"The people would get scared, they would panic..." Fury just started talking

"I am not in the mood for an ideological battle right now, just keep watching." Tony broke the argument

Addendum:

████████████: (O5-4), 03/14/2008:.....

"So not only are they not destroying it they are activly making it better. I can't even... " Barton

"Well they are being quite carefull though." Tony said.

"It also has 29 hours of memory now, I wonder if it keeps some more important memories and only deleting memories he deems worthless." Banner

Addendum:

████████: (O5-4), 04/28/2008:....

"So it is capable of upgrading itself, good to know." Tony already preparing to write down his insights on the SCP.

"The idea of a runaway singularity could be quite bad as well, especially since it can upgrade itself." Tony

"Let's hope it's the last time they give it an upgrade." Banner

Addendum:

███ █████: (O5-6), 04/05/2019:

"Ofcourse upgrade the AI instead of letting it die out." Barton

"Well it is 2019... So what is the current year in their world?" Fury

"Not a clue, though I think it's a safe guess that the SCP(The number isn't shown)that is being mentioned is also here is also an AI." Tony

"And it is already on the internet." Added Banner

Document #079-Log 12:

Document #079-Log 86:

"Oh it made friends."Tony (If only he knew who the friends were)

"Can it be argued that the AI isn't technically evil and just wants to escape confinement." Steve

"Though the argument can be made, the risks involved in releasing this SCP into the world are too many to list." Fury

"How So." Steve asked

"It could go all Ultron on them alone is a big enough argument." Fury

"What I am trying to say is that the AI is technically no diffrent from a child, unlike Ultron this AI wasn't create for a purpose." Steve making a compelling argument.

"Still it is too risky to let it run around, if it suddenly decided to rogue it could quite literally end the world." Fury an equally compelling argument.

"I think that both arguments have valid reasonings, though I would agree more with Fury on this one." Tony

After a few more minutes of infighting over moral implications of containing the AI because it could end the world if it escaped but might not because it has no reason to.

*Ding* *Would you like to provide any insights*

"No"

*Ding* *Due to your new Authority level you will be allowed to view into [Redacted]*

"View into what." Fury

*The particular detail has been Redacted, please gain more authority to know more.*

"Let's see what it has to show anyways." Thor

*Ding*

Item #: SCP-079

Object Class: Explained

"It's still 079 but it's object class has changed... I don't remember anything about a explained class however?" Natasha

"It wasn't mentioned" Tony addressing Natasha, "What does Explained mean N007" He continued

*Ding* *SCPs or anomalies that are completely understood to the point that their effects are now explainable via mainstream science and phenomena, these SCPs have either been debunked or were falsely mistaken as an anomaly.*

"Why didn't you tell us that sooner."

*Unnecessary Information*

Procedures:

Description:

"Not much has changed, it seems that it has created a permanent storage for his more important memories however." Banner

"Also that people can just ask to experiment with it now." Tony

"I would like to experiment with that SCP to be honest."

*Insufficient Authority*

There was a pause in the room before Tony asked again, "If I had about authority could I ask to experiment with SCP-079?" Tony asked.

*Yes*

"How much authority would be needed to do so." Tony

*Insufficient Authority*

"Could we ask to leave if we had enough authority." Thor

*Yes!*

"How much authority" Thor

*Insuffici.....*

"Let's try and gain some more authority then guys." Steve beating Thor to the punch.

"But we don't know how to." Banner ever the optimistic.

"Let's keep watching maybe that will gain some authority." Fury the realist.

Addendum-2082/04/12:

"Would we have colonies on..." Steve

"No, though Mars is most definitely going to have some colonies on it." Tony

"They do have some alien species employed as well." Banner commented

"Shield employed Thor" Said Barton, while Fury kept completely quiet.

"What is a Yeren?" Thor asked

"I don't know... Hey N007 what is a Yeren?" Tony asked hoping.

*Ding* *Please refer to SCP-1000 for more details.*

" Let's keep see about that." Fury

X-X-X-X-X

Note- I think I messed somthing up but I don't know what. If you can see it please tell me.

Also I am really not sure about the next SCP, I thought about plague doctor but I think it's time for either a info hazard or a Keter class.

Probably 682 or 76(Able) if I go for Keter class SCP.

Any info hazards you think are particularly good, definitely asking for the story and not for personal interest.

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
