Chapter 244: The Mind Stone

The six Infinity Stones, which have existed since the beginning of the universe, contain infinite power and control the six fundamental attributes of space, time, reality, power, mind, and soul.

Loki's scepter was merely a vessel made of special metal.

As a spellcaster whose powers were based on psychic abilities, the Mind Stone was the most valued of the six Infinity Stones to Oaks.

With magic controlling the levitation of the Mind Stone before him, Oaks closed his eyes and slowly made contact with it using his own psychic power.

However, the Space Stone, Reality Stone, and Mind Stone didn't require any specific qualifications or usage conditions.

As long as one knew the basic operational methods, Loki had used the Space Stone and Reality Stone before.

The Mind Stone was even more convenient; an ordinary person could use it to control others' thoughts or induce hypnosis.

But for a powerful spellcaster, the Mind Stone offered much more.

A powerful psychic wave swept through the entire base. Oaks's mental perspective instantly expanded—

At least much stronger than shooting lasers from Vision's head.

However, if Oaks were to directly use the Mind Stone's infinite energy to shoot lasers, he still needed a suitable conduit.

Oaks took out a specially made necklace with a large acorn pendant, opened the lid, and placed the Mind Stone inside.

Nature magic enveloped the Mind Stone, acting as a bridge between it and Oaks.

Directly making contact with the Infinity Stone using psychic power was a sensation that was too exhilarating and something he couldn't currently control.

Oaks's caution during the Battle of New York was justified.

If he had recklessly made contact with the Mind Stone back then, unpredictable things might have happened.

However, now, having the power passed down from the pure soul essence condensed from the immortal species' 4,000-year-long heritage, Oaks was no longer the same.

Even so, he still needed to be cautious when using the Infinity Stone.

After all, dealing with issues related to the mind was much more challenging than dealing with physical problems.

With the perception granted by the Mind Stone, Oaks easily identified a vulnerability in Zola.

An old row of network cables was yanked out by Oaks.

These were the main network cables connecting this entire database to the outside world.
