CHAPTER 04.

Edith was particularly disappointed, her daughter didnt possess even one of those qualities that Eric had a preference for, "Are you sure Vanessa? Eric looks like a reasonable boy...you should better go back and assess more thoroughly.." Edith said while holding her forehead as if in discomfort.

Vanessa without any guilt pulled out her new stepdaughter's name and asked, "Mother..for that I need to impress my step-daughter...and I need money. It's all for Victoria. Won't you assist..?"

Edith showed a surprised expression, "Haven't I already deposited fifty thousand dollars into your bank account? Just tell Hailey what you want, she will pay and bring it to you."

Vanessa looked at Edith still with a smile, Edith precisely wanted to control everything she did by assigning the money to Hailey, without telling Hailey she couldn't even pay for a popsicle, "Mother, Kylie and Hailey are so attractive, what if they use the money to buy beautiful clothes and attract my husband...It's not reasonable to keep the cash with them, is it..?" Edith was choked by Kylie's words, her face turned pink then red to purple, it wasn't that she was furious at Vanessa's craziness, but what Kylie said was right. They were not a match for the Laurent family, Edith of course knew she would only criticize Vanessa for not being good enough instead of taking her side.

"Hailey hold down Kylie for me! You used to act so well behaved while working here, just because you changed positions to the Laurent mansion, you've been so rebellious! Not long after, a raven car halted in front of Vanessa and the driver in front the car got off, "Madam, Master Eric wants you to get in the car."
