Wendy kept a social distance from Laurent and reached out to him. Last time, he helped her a lot.
"Indeed, it's been a long time since we've met." Loraine was slightly taken aback. He smiled and shook hands with her as if he didn’t want to embarrass her at all.
There was an indescribable emotion hidden in his eyes as if he wanted to drown the person in front of him.
"Sit down first. Do you want something to drink? I'll ask someone to bring it in." Wendy led him into the office.
Wendy raised her hand and fiddled with her hair. For a moment, she didn't know what to say.
"Wendy, you've never been polite to me like this so there’s no need to act like one right now." A hint of helplessness was in Laurent's eyes.
"What do you mean? I have not been polite towards you?" Wendy paused for a moment, closed her eyes, turned around, and smiled confidently. Her tone suddenly became much less distant.
