Tiana's point of view:
Three days had already passed, and I still haven't tasted even a drop of blood. From what I could conclude, it's sort of Tristan's plan to make my life look like hell.
I would've loved to stick with the moral life lessons. You know, those morals that say that I shall not show weakness, and I shall not give up.
Well, I would've thought that way if it's not for the hunger killing me right now. All my senses are on the verge as if I was ready to launch on prey. I was actually ready, especially with all the blood sacks moving around me, aka werewolves' guards and prisoners. I can hear their heartbeats stronger than before; I can feel the blood running in their veins, I can almost taste its metallic taste inside of my mouth.
My feelings are the same as my senses. They were also on the verge. I was not only feeling hungry but also angry that all I think about right now is tearing someone apart.
The atmosphere around me doesn't make it any better since all these wolves around me do look like nothing more than moving drops of blood. There was also that girl. I don't know for what reason I was mad at her, despite not knowing I was indeed mad. All I was thinking about was the test of her blood inside of my mouth. Perhaps it's because of what's between her and my imprint, and perhaps it is because she's a wolf.
I never hated those creatures, but right now, I hate them more than the fake people that were around me. Lost in my thoughts, I was before a sweet aroma passes through my nose.
It was fresh blood moving toward me. A dead deer was brought to my cell, but it wasn't what I was desired. It was the one who was holding the deer in his hands.
The guard throws the deer inside of the cell and left right away. Though I was a vegetarian vampire, and though I spent my entire life drinking only animals' blood, I didn't feel like drinking the deer's blood. I was desiring more - the people's blood.
I kept on my spot, decreases my heartbeats, close my heart, and acted as if I was good for nothing.
For a while, they started believing that I was out of consciousness, and I was good for nothing. After a while, the hunters turned to become prey, and I was totally ready to lunch on my prey.
The moment the guards got inside of the cell to check if I was just asleep or dead, I took the chance and attacked the first guard.
In a swift move, I brooked one of his arms, then moved toward his neck. Of course, I didn't miss the chance to test his blood.
Well, I went for more than just tasting his blood, as I didn't leave his body until I was sure that it was empty. There was that thing that I've never experienced while drinking the wolf's blood, I've had a sneak on all his life, and his memories were played in front of my sight like a movie.
I didn't know if it's a common thing or something related to my gift since I've never drunk a human or werewolf blood. Still, it wasn't the time for me to think about anything more than that I'm still thirsty, and have to run away from this creepy place.
While I was attacking the first human wolf, the second one shifted to his wolf while he seemed to get ready to fight for his life. The normal me is a weak royal vampire, meaning that I shall be afraid. Yet I wasn't afraid at all, it all seemed like a game that I shall win no matter what.
As the wolf launched himself on me, I found my body responding to its attacks spontaneously. I successfully avoided all his attacks, then started right after launching mines.
It didn't take much time for me to paralyze the wolf I was fighting against. All I needed was to break his waist, and it was all done for him. I didn't miss the look in his eyes. He was ready to do whatever it takes to survive; he was afraid of dying; he was afraid of me.
Part of me liked how it feels to be strong, while the other part felt that something is wrong. Well, I'm way too far from caring about what's wrong and what's not. The reason why I decided to feed on the wolf.
Just like the one before him, I saw his life passing by my sight as a film, which caused me to pull off away from his neck. I saw that he has an imprint – a mate, a pregnant mate.
I was going to kill someone's father. I was going to make a kid suffer the way I did. No way would you know how it feels to grow up without one of your parents. No way could you find someone who will fill that empty space in your heart.
It's true that I'm angry with my own mother for not choosing to live, for giving me birth, then living me alone. Still, I would do whatever it takes just to be with her for one night.
To get to know her on my own, without needing anyone to tell me about her. Yet, the reality is something else that has nothing to do with what we wish.
I let go of the wolf between my hands, then I started searching for my way out. To my luck – note that I am the unluckiest creature who had ever existed – a furious growl reached to my ear.
A growl that I do recognize as Tristan growl informed me that they knew that I was running, and my chance of escaping here alive started getting smaller than ever….
