Chapter 469: No profanity allowed (Edited)

Harry would never have imagined that his best friend Ron would suspect that he had used some trick to become Champion, when everyone else believed in his innocence, but Ron, even with Fish's testimony, still denied it.

He even said something like, "Maybe it's the same thing as first year, Dumbledore trying to train you!".

"Have you ever thought that Ron is actually jealous?"

When Harry complained about this to other roommates, after they looked at each other for a while, Dean suddenly said.

"Jealous? What's there to be jealous about?" asked Harry incredulously, "Is he willing to make a fool of himself in front of the whole school?"

"We don't think it's silly, Harry." Seamus rolled his eyes and said with great annoyance, "Don't tell me you haven't fantasized about being Champion before, or you wouldn't have snuck off in the middle of the night to sign up."

"Uh..." Harry was stunned for a moment, then scratched his head in embarrassment, "Sorry, I was just... just annoyed..."

He also realized that his behavior at the moment was a bit cheeky.

"It's just that I was actually thinking, I never thought I'd get picked..." Harry couldn't resist defending himself again.

"That's why Ron thinks it might be the professors helping you cheat." Dean shrugged and said, "Actually, I had that thought too."

"Same thing."

"Me too."

Seamus and Neville echoed.

"This..." Harry's expression immediately turned a little frustrated, and he said with some resentment, "Don't tell me who did this!"

Despite the harsh words, Harry knew that the person who had quietly gotten his name picked for the Goblet of Fire would be more than he could beat.

Dean reached out and patted Harry's shoulder, reassuring him, "Ron, you'll have to wait for him to figure it out, he's not going to listen to any of your explanations now."

"Let him think what he wants!" Harry gambled, "I don't want a friend like that!"

Harry thought it was the worst thing that could happen if Ron didn't trust him, but on Monday, when classes started, he realized he had been very wrong.

Many of the students in the other three houses, like Ron, thought Harry had done something in private and, unlike the Gryffindors, didn't think it was very honorable...or rather, they felt Harry stole Fish's glory.

Slytherin students, especially Malfoy, spread similar rumors and, given Fish's popularity at Hogwarts, many of them hated him....

Among them was Cho Chang of Ravenclaw.

When Harry met her at the castle, he was crushed to see her cold-faced and no longer smiling at him, and it hit Harry harder than Ron's distrust of him.

Because with Ron, he could at least wait until both parties had calmed down and found a way to reconcile, whereas with Cho Chang, Harry couldn't even explain himself.

The only relief for Harry was that Fish, after realizing that the group didn't approve of him being a Champion, said very generously, "Actually, Fish would like to have more Champions to play with, but Dumbledore won't let him, and Harry is too weak to beat Fish."

Although Fish's comment seemed to underestimate Harry, it did make his situation better, and everyone was less hostile to Harry than they had been at first, but they still didn't look good.

The next few days were the hardest for Harry at Hogwarts.

In fact, he could understand the way the other students treated him. In fact, if someone else had been the second Hogwarts warrior, Harry would have done the same thing they did, fight for Fish, and if he had been a Malfoy or another Slytherin, they would find ways to pick on each other.

And it was clear that Malfoy felt the same way.

Friday afternoon there were two consecutive Potions classes, and Harry shuddered at the thought of facing Snape for an entire afternoon. Being locked in the subway classroom for an hour and a half, with Snape and the Slytherins...it was probably the hardest experience Harry could imagine.

And unlike last week, this week's Potions class would not only not end early, but he also became a Hogwarts Champion.... Harry could already guess what Snape's target would look like.

After lunch, Harry listlessly followed the Gryffindors to Snape's subway classroom, where the Slytherins were waiting outside, their chests glowing with red dots.

Harry looked at them and saw that all the Slytherins wore a large badge pinned to the front of their robes, even the Durmstrang students at their table, and a few other Houses, wore the same badge.

Support Fish McGonagall

A true Hogwarts Champion!

They all bore these words, and the letters on each one glowed as if they were burning in the dim light of the subway corridors.

"Are you cheering for Fish?" Fish walked up to Malfoy and the others and said contentedly, "Thank you, can I give Fish nya two?"

Fish was very interested in this badge and couldn't help but ask Malfoy for it.

"Of course," Malfoy asked, pulling two other identical badges out of his pocket and handing them to Fish, taking credit for it. "I volunteered to make them, it took us days of work."

Fish pinned one badge to his tunic and handed the other to Hermione.

Malfoy and Hermione pursed their lips at almost the same time, and seemed to be dissatisfied with Fish's behavior, but for Fish's sake, Malfoy made no jest, and Hermione quietly put on the badge as well.

Malfoy, who was not in a good mood, looked at Harry aside, pointed to the badge on his chest with a grimace, and said loudly, "Do you like it, Potter? They have other tricks.... Look!"

He pressed the badge hard against his chest and the words disappeared, then another line appeared, in bright green

Potter stinks of shit.

The Slytherins laughed grotesquely. They each clicked their badge and finally the words 'Potter stinks of shit' appeared everywhere around Harry.

Harry felt the blood rush to his face and neck.

"This badge, Fish doesn't want it anymore..."

Suddenly, Fish frowned.

Not that Fish was upset with Malfoy's behavior, he already knew that Malfoy and Harry didn't get along, so it was only natural for the cat to see the two of them fighting with each other.

And Fish doesn't think it's a big deal to say "Potter sucks." Sir Cadogan's curses are much more exciting than that, and Fish thought it was interesting that the badge could alternate between the two forms.

The reason Fish didn't want the badge was simple....

"Minerva doesn't allow Fish to use bad words, if she sees Fish with this badge, she will get angry nya."

(??ˇ?ˇ??)

Fish explained to Malfoy very seriously, took the badge off his chest and handed it back to him along with Hermione's.
