Chapter 2: Where am I

The feeling of being smashed into a small pipe is all that I felt as I was whisked away from the voice and the void. The next thing I know is that I am in some sort of liquid floating there unable to move or see. I feel human I think. all of a sudden I hear a voice but it was muffled like trying to hear underwater.

"Interesting this one is thinking looks good no malformations a pure human clone now then this is the last for this batch contact the illusive man and tell him we were able to make 1,524 functioning clones. Tell him that we also have 69,324 malformed test clones. We will then start to proceed with ..."

After that, I could not hear any more of what they were saying. looks like I am in a Cerberus facility well the voice did say the universe would find a way to make the wishes true.

Day 1 of the project perfected human

-cloning tests have gone better than expected only losing 50% of clones in the growing stage though only 2% are clear of malformation the other will be used to know how far we can push the DNA of the clones. the illusive man will be happy with our progress.-

As I was floating in my tank I started to think I need a name or something to call myself. The voices around me call me subject I0 from what I can tell that means I am the only one that is not malformed but has irregular brain activity. I guess for now being known as I0 is good enough for now when I get out that will change.

Day 650

-test subjects of the malformed clones have run out we were able to get 10% of them with 2 different DNA of alines Krogan and Vorcha. Of those, we were able to get 5 to bond with both interesting only the ones that got Vorcha DNA first were able to gain Krogan DNA after. All other alien DNA is harder to procure I will be asking the Illusive man for help on this. Test on the other clones will begin they will get Vorcha DNA to help them adapt to the other alien DNA hopefully this will allow them to gain more success than the malformed clones. Test subject I0 will be the first to get Vorcha DNA. -

"OK, there I0 looks like it's your lucky day, time for some new DNA." the sadistic voice says. then I feel pain unending pain my brain tries to cope with it I pass out but what I felt from it was like slowly dissolving in acid while my body rebuilt itself over and over again. When I come to I feel different it's weird to say this but I feel adaptable yup I have no other word for it I hope I don't go insane from the pain.

Day 900

-Subject I0 is extraordinary it has melded with 9 different Alian DNA and still retains his humanoid form with minor changes here and there. The DNA that he was able to incorporate is Vorcha, Quarian, Drell, Asari, Elcor, Hanar, Salarian, Turian, and Krogan. The major changes to the outward appearance are with its hair, eyes, and skin. Its hair is like a small strand of Asari tentacles about .5mm in width and about shoulder length and stopped growing. Its eyes are pitch black with galaxy-looking iris(will need colored contact). now at first glance, the skin is the same golden brown color but if you look closely with a microscope its skin is all off-colored scales overlapping creating a hard but smooth surface that give the look of golden brown skin. The insides of the subject are closer to that of a Krogan as I0 has multiple organs for redundancy. the bones are stronger and denser than humans like an Elcor. the muscles are the most interesting being able to have incredible strength while retaining gymnast flexibility gives the subject incredible power with no loss of range of movement. Most of all of the other clones were discarded with horrible inhuman looking shapes. the ones that survived are 10. 5 are Vorcha with Salarian, 2 are Vorcha with Krogan, and 3 are Vorcha with Quarian. The illusive man is happy with subject I0 and has given us an unknown DNA to add to it. I0 still has irregular brain activity for a clone. we will begin trying to clone it in its final form. Indoctrination will begin with training in virtual reality for combat and infiltration. Dr. Ida Bisesi will take care of that part of the project.-

Pain that all know now. wake up the pain is there to greet me it has become my loyal and most hated companion. what I have heard from the pain bringers is that they are happy with me. They say that I have one last DNA to acquire I hope they speak the truth. I did not think the voice in the void would give me an unbreakable will but he did otherwise my ego would have disappeared long ago replaced with a savage animal. My mind is stronger than ever with perfect memory and incredible processing speed. I find I can think 60 times faster than before. blessing and a curse pain last 60 times longer because of it I have learned to slow it down and speed it up at will. Pain AAAAG! here it is again but surprisingly it is not as bad this time maybe I am adapting to it. This time with my ability to slow down my thoughts it does not seem as long. Kinda feels like the ability adrenaline from Mass Effect except better. As I come out of slow thought I notice something I can feel others around me the relief/joy from the doctors. Pain off in the distance they feel like me 10 of them. A focus on one of the doctors around me, I can feel their emotions as well as some surface thoughts but it strains my mind to unbelievable pain. As I stop I feel tired and pass out.

As I slowly open my eyes I feel weird looking around me I am in a desert as I shake the feeling into my body I see a Batarian come at me with a knife. I hear his breath and feel the sun on my body but something keeps telling me this is not real so I speed up my thought process to its full potential and look around me to see why I feel off. As I assess my situation I notice that the Batarian has no emotions at all, not one. In fact I feel nothing from him like he is not even there. Then it clicked with me I am being trained in a simulation.

-subject I0 learns incredibly quickly it has passed all of the basics of all forms of combat from close to ranged with all weapons. This must be because of his Salarian, Asari, Hanar, and Drell DNA. I have started to begin adding the truth of the universe it is training with Cerberus being the only place he can get ad and helping him out in the simulation with him fighting aliens left and right. Started to add tech and biotic fighting as well as hacking and infiltration. By the time I am done I0 will think it has been working for Cerberus for years. I plan on making the perfect weapon for all situations whether that is on the battle fealed or in a diplomatic situation. Dr. Jaiden Mcloud will be adding a control chip to the subject mind as a backup plan but I don't think it will be needed. I have each simulation end with I0 entering a test tank so as not to confuse the subject when we wake him for real.-

They think that they are so smart by not telling me that it is a simulation when they train me I can tell with my ability to feel other's emotions I can tell what's real and not. The control chip though will be harder to beat but I am learning and soon I will be free. The training is nice it allows me to experiment with my ability in a controlled environment. I have found out I prefer blades or sniper rifles. Unarmed combat is fun too but too easy when you outthink and out-move the enemy. In each of the simulations, I try different abilities together and found out I can make a mini emp field with biotics allow me to destroy the control chip without harming my mind. they have not notest the destruction of it and will probably never check before they release me. Also, Dr. Mcloud has been in a raging mood lately something about my DNA being unable to be cloned with my results being unable to be replicated. He has started calling me his proudest failure. I have been hearing that the illusive man is planning on scrapping this project and taking me to be studied for further research. The others that I felt are like me have been slowly dying off something about not being stable enuff but they were able to clone them and now have an army of mindless drones that protect this base. I can feel with my power but they have a dull throbbing emotion that they all feel. I keep feeling that I will soon be free but nothing around me can give me a clue as to why.
