39 Nagini

July 1977: St Mungo's

As soon as we apparate to St Mungo's, we appear in a room inside the Hospital, reserved for the Healers to apparate to.

Using my telepathy, I find that the attackers are right outside the wards, and that they have just begun attacking the wards. Aurors hadn't come yet, and Dorea had already killed 2 Death Eaters that had been hiding amongst the patients.

Walking down the stairs, wand in my hand, I say, "Helena, check to see if anyone else is amongst the patients, or Healers, please."

While Helena does that, I point my wand and deflect a spell that was going to hit Dorea, while she was busy duelling a black robed wizard.

With a wave of my hand, after verifying that they weren't imperiused, I snap their necks, and look outside the door.

"How many?" Dorea asks, joining me at the door.

"69." I say, internally chuckling. Looking at a figure at the back, I add, "Including my cousin, Tom."

Dorea sighs and shakes her head. Steeling her eyes, she asks, "Anyone from my family?"

I nod, and point at 3 people, and say, "Bellatrix, her husband, and his brother."

Dorea nods, and states, "I'll handle Bella, if you please."

We don't get any more time to say anything else, as the Death Eaters manage to break through the wards, by firing Lightning spells at a single spot, all at once. Bloody technique stealers.

With a wave of my hand, a lightning rod appears from the ground, and stops the excessive lightning from coming at us.

All three of us walk forward, and start the fight.

Helena takes the left, while I take the right. Dorea quickly and efficiently kills everyone in front of her, firing her family curses left and right, but keeps her eyes fixed at Bellatrix.

Letting them fight, I lean to the right, letting a spell pass harmlessly, and snap my wand at the attacker, decapitating McNair.

Well, fuck it. Timeline's fucked anyway.

Looking at Voldemort getting ready for a fight with me, I glare at him, and snap my fingers, as he looks at me warily. Immediately, the 30 wizards in front of me, that were getting ready to fire killing curses drop down, with their necks broken.

"You should not have come here.. Tom." I say, glaring at Tom.

He looked a lot like his ritually created body from the movies, except it was not that pale. He did a lot of rituals, most likely without any cool down periods.

"Aves!" Tom snarls, glaring his red eyes at me, his wand in his hand. He asks, "How do you know that name?"

I shrug, ignoring the battles happening around me, and say, "I just do, Timmy. Last chance. Flee, and you won't die."

By now, only 18 wizards were remaining, Dorea having killed everyone in front of her, while Helena stunning the rest. Dorea was currently battling Bellatrix, as her husband was already dead, and the brother knocked out.

Voldemort laughs, and says, "You've gotten old with age, Aves. I'm not like Grindelwald, and won't go down easily. I will kill you, and then no one will be able to stop me."

He fires a killing curse at me, which I block with a wall of Earth, and banish the debris at him. While he takes care of the debris, I Transfigure the ground around me into wolves, and send them to attack Tom.

Tom shields from the debris, and uses Fiendfyre to destroy the wolves. He sends the same fire at me. Waving my wand, I transfigure the Fiendfyre into water, which is a really fucking hard thing to do, and send the wave of water at Tom, followed by a few bone breaking hexes.

As Tom takes care of that, I turn around and use Telekinesis to stop the snake from striking at my back.

"I'll deal with you later, Nagini." I say, and banish Nagini to the back, where a portal takes her to the Aves Manor, already unconscious.

Slapping the spell coming at me with my hand, I send it to a Death Eater, making him scream from the blood boiling curse. Smiling at Tom, I ask, "Is that all you can do? Killing curse, dark curses, and Fiendfyre?"

Tom snarls, and fires a beam of pure destructive power at me, and I fire my own. Our two beams of pure magic meet in the middle, making a big light show. My white beam meets his red, and pushes it back.

The pure power focused where the spells meet, had everyone squinting their eyes, and even I could feel the warmth.

As Tom cackles behind his spell, I slowly increase the Strength behind my spell, and keep increasing, as my spell pushes Tom's back, little by little. For a while, Tom manages to keep up, but after a few seconds of grunting in effort, Tom breaks up the spell, and apparates behind me.

Rolling my eyes, I wave my hand and send a big granite stone, which had fallen from a nearby building, at him.

The stone hits him, and throws him back. He snarls, and shouts, "Retreat!" and immediately apparates, while his Death Eaters either apparate, fly away, or use a portkey.

Well, 8 of them do so anyway. Bellatrix was knocked out, and in Dorea's custody, a few were unconscious on the ground, and the rest were dead.

Smiling widely, I turn to Helena and say, "I think this went well, no?"

Helena rolls her eyes, and begins binding the unconscious wizards, while I do the same. Dorea says, "I'll take Bella home and deal with her. You two okay here for a while?"

I nod, and kiss her goodbye. Bellatrix is in for one hell of a punishment.

Hearing a few cracks of apparation, I turn back, and spread my arms wide, seeing Moody, along with a few aurors. "Alastor!" I greet.

Alastor looks around, with his mad eye that he'd gotten last month, and nods. He says, "Aves. They give you any trouble?"

Snorting, I point at the pile of headless dead bodies, along with the pile of bodies with their necks broken. I ask, "What do you think?"

Moody chuckles, and orders, "What are you waiting for, you morons! Go and arrest the unconscious ones! And send the dead to the DOM for identification!"

The group of Aurors, which include Amelia Bones, all get to work on transportation of the bodies, and the new prisoners.

Another series of cracks of Apparation sounds, bringing forth Dumbledore and his Order of the Phoenix. By now, he had grown a big beard, which had become completely white due to age.

Dumbledore looks around, wand at the ready, looks at the Acacia wand in my hand, and says, "Mr Aves. Was Killing them really necessary?"

Looking at Dumbledore in annoyance, I ask, "3 people against 69. While I could have taken all of them down, without Killing them, I did not want to risk anyone getting inside the hospital."

As Dumbledore opens his mouth, Moody bangs his staff on the ground, and says, "Enough, Albus. Not the time to argue morals. These bastards just tried to attack a hospital. Good riddance, if you ask me."

Turning to me, he says, "Where's the third person who was with you?"

"Dorea, my wife got injured. I sent her home to recuperate. You understand." I say, staring straight at Alastor's eyes.

I could hear a few of the Order members, the Bones, Arthur Weasley, and even Auror Shacklebolt, mumbling at the tension between us.

Moody finally snorts, and says, "The whole family is crazy. Do what you think is right, but make sure the bitch stays away. I won't hold back simply because she's your family."

I nod, getting the message, and smile softly. I say, "Yeah, Dorea will be the one handling her. I think you can be sure nothing untoward will happen again."

Alastor nods, and moves towards his team, while Dumbledore looks at the bodies sadly. 8 had escaped, while 22 were captured. The rest were dead.

Taking Helena upstairs, I tell her, 'I'm going home for now. There's a snake I need to deal with.'

Helena nods, kisses me, and replies, 'Take care. She's not like Ana, having been like that for decades.'

I nod, and apparate home, leaving Helena to cast the wards. As a wizard, Helena was a lot stronger than Dumbledore, and just a step behind me. And this was after we'd both been enhanced by the Serum.

And I don't just mean it in terms of pure Magical might. Helena can defeat Dumbledore in a straight fight, without using any trickery. While Dorea might lose to him, Helena will come out on top.

Just wanted to clear that up. There's a reason she had led MIS for 2 decades.

Apparating home, I send a patronus to Ana, asking her to come here, and say, "Tobey, bring Ana to me when she comes, please."

Tobey pops in, says, "Of course, Master Aves." And pops out.

I go towards the room I'd locked Nagini in, and open the door. Pointing my hand at the unconscious snake, I cast, "Enervate."

Nagini opens her eyes, and looks around. Her eyes land at me, and she hisses out, ~~I am going to kill this man.~~

~~You will fail.~~ I state, sitting down on the floor in front of her, and staring at her eyes.

Nagini stops her attacking posture, and straightens up. She asks, ~~You're a speaker?~~

Nodding, I say, ~~Yes. And I know you're cursed. I would like to help you get back.~~

Shaking her head, Nagini says, ~~No one can help me. Not Credence, not Gellert, not Albus, and certainly not you.~~

I ask her, ~~Is that why you were with Tom? Because you'd lost all hope?~~

Hissing in anger, Nagini says, ~~I am cursed to forever roam in this form! Tom was simply the first Parselmouth I encountered, and he promised to look for a way to turn me back.~~

Softening my eyes, I whisper, ~~We both know he was lying, Nagini.~~

Nagini nods, after hesitating a moment. She then says, ~~I know that. But he was the only one who could understand me, so I'd decided to stay with him anyway. My existence had been lonely since Credence was gone.~~

Hearing Ana apparate in, as her thoughts become audible to me suddenly, I say, ~~I'm not lying, Nagini. I want to help you, and I will. And as proof, I want you to meet someone.~~

Walking towards the door, I open it up, letting Ana enter the room. Ana was older now, and looked about 40, despite being in her 50s. She looks at Nagini, and asks, "Maledictus?"

I nod, making her sigh. Ana's family, the Greengrasses had been cursed in the 10th century, making it so that every couple generations, the curse surfaces in a girl of the Family. They hadn't found a cure to the curse yet, but I'd managed to prevent Ana from getting it.

Pointing at Ana, I turn to Nagini, and say, ~~This is Ana Greengrass. Their family has the same curse you do. Ana here, was the most recent victim, but I managed to save her from the curse. While I can't guarantee that no one else in her family gets the curse, Ana's descendants definitely won't.~~

I'd connected Ana to my mind, for a while, so she can understand the conversation. Taking her cue, Ana bends down backwards, and transforms into a snake.

Nagini brings her tongue out, and twitches it a few times. She asks, ~~How?~~, and I can feel her shock at watching Ana, a 58 year old woman, voluntarily transform into a snake, despite it not being her Animagus form.

~~Alchemy. Ana is an Animagus, a bird one. I simply used an Alchemical creation of my wife's, along with a ritual I designed, to make the Snake her 2nd Animagus form.~~ I answer, nodding at Ana to transform into her Eagle form.

Ana does so, and back into her human form. Looking at Nagini, she says, "It will be painful, beyond anything you've ever felt, for you even more than me. I was just in the beginning stages of the curse when Mason helped me, but you're already too much over to the other side."

I take over from Ana, and say, ~~Yes, it will hurt you a lot. But, in the end, I can promise you you'll be able to make the curse your own.~~

Ana's case was a late one. She'd believed that the curse had skipped her, and was thankful for it. But, when Darla suddenly brought a snake to our home, when we were 32, and the snake transformed back into Ana, we had to start finding a cure. By

It took a few months for me to design a ritual, and for Dorea to make the Potion I was going to need. I simply told her what the end result was, and Dorea made the potion from scratch.

At the end of an hour long Ritual, which had Ana screaming her throat out for 20 minutes, Ana had gained a third Animagus form. Thankfully, she hadn't lost her Eagle, or Thunderbird.

~~How sure are you?~~ Nagini asks, slithering forward.

Taking a page out, I put a bit of Nagini's blood on it, ~~Sorry.~~, and start the calculations.

~~69% possibilities of success, 29% of failure without side effects, and 2% of Death. Good odds, if I say so myself.~~ I answer, showing Nagini the calculations.

Nagini nods, and says, ~~Very well. If you're so sure. What do you want in return?~~

Taking a moment to think, I answer, ~~You'll have to lead us to any of the hidden safe houses Tom has. While I know most of them, some are hidden behind Fidelius charms. Agreed?~~

Nagini nods, and says, ~~Agreed. I will help you, after you manage to transform me back to human.~~

I nod, and say, "Ana, be a dear and pick her up, please. Take her down to the ritual room. I'll be right back. We'll get this over with right now."

I'd already prepared the ritual for when I find Nagini. But first, I need to talk with Dorea.

---

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, aunt Dorea! I won't join him again!" is the first thing I hear, when I enter my room.

Entering the room, I'm met with a sight that immediately makes me laugh. Bellatrix Lestrange, the witch who spread terror in the minds of everyone, or would have, was bound by her hands and legs, and was kneeling in front of Dorea, with her ear in Dorea's pinch.

Bellatrix had slap marks on her face, and blood coming out of her head by some injury. Going into Dorea's mind, after asking for permission, I look at what else happened.

Ouch. I did not want to be Bellatrix right now. 'Kinky. Although, I wouldn't mind calling you mistress.' I say, winking at Dorea.

Rolling her eyes, Dorea says, "Ew. She's my grandniece, but Cygnus should have spanked her when she was a child."

Knocking Bellatrix out with telepathy, I ask, "Are you coming? I'm dealing with a Maledictus downstairs."

Wiping her red hands on a cloth, which I know is a soothing cloth, she says, "No. You can handle it. I'll go and deal with my nephew, and drop this girl off at Pollux's."

Nodding, I turn back, and start to go downstairs. Pausing, I look back at Bellatrix, and say, "Would you mind having Bellatrix take you to her Vault? You'll find Hufflepuff's cup there. I want you to bring it here."

Sighing, Dorea asks, "Discreetly or noisily?"

"Discreetly. I'd prefer if no one knew Bellatrix even went to her vault." I answer.

Dorea nods, and shrugs. She says, "Sure. I'll.. convince Bella."

I warn her, "It has a dark curse on it, so be careful."

Dorea rolls her eyes, and asks, "I'm a Black. I've been dealing with Dark curses since I was in my nappies."

Chuckling, I simply walk out the door. Time to cure a Maledictus.

---

A/N: Nagini was an impulsive decision. I won't add her to this three person harem, because everyone insists it's a Harem, but, she will have her use. And no, it's not for breeding.

I'm going to finish up this arc soon. A chapter or two, at maximum. I've already decided what I want to do, so don't bother with suggestions.

Thank you.

Goodbye.
