27 Austria

November 1943:

The last few months of my life have gone pretty well, if I say so myself. Once I got back to England, I gave a lot of blood, 16 test tubes full, in fact, so the British scientists can try and replicate it.

Then, at the same night, I went home, and carried out a ritual. The Sanguis Extermina ritual, does what it says. It destroys any blood of the one that goes through the ritual, that isn't already in the body.

It doesn't matter what protections you hide someone's blood behind, and how far you hide it. If you have my blood, and I go through that Ritual, the blood will just disintegrate, along with anything it is directly touching.

And if someone managed to either clone me, or give the abilities within my blood, (like the SSS, or my mutations, as Magic cannot be quantified in blood), then as soon as I go through the ritual, the clones will disintegrate, and my abilities will get removed from the person who has them. Obviously, this does nothing to my children.

After the blood went missing, the MI5 people thought that someone deliberately stole the blood, and came to ask me for some more, while promising to keep guard this time.

I gave them, and did the same that night too. After that, they stopped asking for my blood. Since the ritual isn't known to anyone other than the oldest Pureblood families, the MI5 did not know about it either, so I was safe.

I was still doing that ritual, once every month, and would continue to do so, indefinitely. I was not giving anyone the chance to clone me.

As for the MIS, it was already under Helena's control. The Government just didn't know it yet. Helena, with the help of Cassiopeia, and Dorea, had managed to completely change the memories of the Higher ups, so they think they were always working for Helena.

Helena was going to slowly replace them with her own pawns, which she was recruiting through Marius, Darla, and Cassiopeia.

Dorea had brought in Darla and Cassiopeia, with her, while Ana was just told they were doing something. Helena was keeping everything close to her chest, and only told Cassiopeia because she had experience in blackmailing, while Darla was brought in because she was a muggleborn, and had knowledge about the muggle world.

In the 3 months that I was at Lehigh, Helena had managed to recruit 11 new Muggleborns, and 27 squibs to MIS. Only this time, there were no vows, but contracts.

While there were a few muggles working for her, for now, she was eventually going to make the Organisation completely made up of Wizards, Witches, and squibs, with plans for adding werewolves too.

The MIS also had new goals now. Safeguarding the Statute of Secrecy. If any magical object gets into the hands if muggles, it's the job of MIS to take it back, and erase the memories of those muggle.

If anyone other than the Royal family, and the PM found out about the Magical world, the MIS will Obliviate them.

They were going slowly for now, as the war was still going on. And so, they hadn't dealt with the higher ups of other organisations in the know yet.

The worst news had to be on the Wizarding side of the War. MACUSA, UK, and France were in a war with Grindelwald's forces, who was using Hitler's bases to stage attacks on the Wizarding villages. The muggles didn't know about him, not even the Nazi muggles, but he was still doing a lot of damage.

I haven't met any other Wizard, while I was at war, not yet at least. But I know, that the closer we get to the end, the Wizards will start appearing. And I was ready for them.

Back to me, I spent the first month in Deployment, as an Infantry soldier, fighting through Europe, and removing Fascist Italy from the equation, with other soldiers.

There were Canadians, Americans, and the UK soldiers too. I even saw James Motherfucking Howlett once, while we were invading the island of Sicily. After the island, we went into the mainland, to liberate the rest of Europe of Nazi and Fascist presence.

I did spend my fighting time, with gauging my limits, as the MI5 did not bother with it yet. My strength multiplied by about 10, same with my speed. Where before I can lift at most 100 Kg, max, while I could support 130 Kg, now, it was in the 800+ kg range now.

My speed, meanwhile, was about 70 kmph, where it was only about 30 kmph.

My reflexes were the most valuable improvement, for me. I wasn't a master, in hand to hand combat. But now, I won every fight on pure instinct alone. You know how Bucky Barnes fought in Civil War? That's how good I was, right now.

As for my magic, I did see when I got to go home for a while, that wandless magic had become a lot easier for me. Where before I could only cast low level spells without a wand, or support medium level spells that I'd already cast through the wand, with my off hand, now, I could cast the same medium level spells wandlessly.

One bad side effect, was my control was shot to hell. I spent 8 hours under the Time Stop spell to get it under control. Same with my Telepathy and Telekinesis.

I used telepathy in the war to an amazing extent. Figuring out where the enemies were hiding, and saving people from thrown grenades, I was making a name for myself. Their Knight in shining armour, they would call me. I even got promoted to Sargent!

Unfortunately, with good times, come bad. I made a lot of friends in the Infantry, and I saw a lot of them die in front of me. I wasn't fast enough to save them. This almost got me into an aggressive mode, but Dorea and Helena sucked it all out of me. Together.

Ahem. Anyway, as the Allies were getting better at taking care of the Axis powers, the opposite was happening with Hydra.

Hydra had completely separated itself from Hitler's Germany, and taken over a lot of Hitler's bases. And with their advanced energy weapons, that turns the allies to dust, we were losing. Badly.

Which is why, I was on a plane, about to reach Austria. They said, "Maybe we need the super soldier to make sure Hydra loses. We've spent so much money on him, let him be of use."

While they didn't say it on my face, I did manage to watch the whole meeting in General Eisenhower's mind.

As soon as I reach the SSR base, closest to the Austrian front, I am being met by a MP, who drives me through the rain, towards the central tent.

"Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. If it isn't the Knight in shining armour!" Colonel Phillips says, standing up.

I salute him, smiling, and say, "Nice to meet you again, Colonel."

"Sit down, son. What you're going to hear ain't pretty." Phillips says, pointing at the chair in front of him.

He begins telling me, how one of the Infantry Divisions got ambushed just yesterday, by Hydra forces, and only about 50 returned. Most of them injured, and amputees.

Before I can say anything, the tent flap swings, and two people walk in.

"Sir, I need the list of casualties from the front lines." Steve Rogers says, in his Captain America uniform, while Peggy Carter stands behind him.

"The Star sprangled man with a plan." I say, smirking at Steve, and get up.

He looks shocked for a moment, and hugs me, "Mason! Thank God, you're okay."

"As much as I love soldiers being touchy feely, you ain't got the rank to give me orders, son." Phillips says, bringing Steve back.

He immediately looks firmly, and says, "Sir, please. I just need to know about one name. James Barnes. B-A-"

"I know how to spell, Rogers." Phillips says, stopping Steve. He then sighs, and says, "I've written a lot of letters today, Son, and Barnes is a name I find familiar."

So, Barnes got captured by Hydra. That's.. a weirdly coincidental time to get called here.

Phillips turns to me, and says, "You can rest for now, Sgt Aves. You'll be on the front tomorrow."

"Yes, sir!" I say, saluting to him and going out. A younger soldier guides me to my rooms, as I hear Steve arguing with Phillips.

So, it's time for me to get to work. I should get my sleep done with, so I can fight properly when the time comes.

Getting into my room, which I was given for myself for being a Super Soldier, I cast the Time Stop spell, and sleep for 6 hours. 6 minutes later, I wake up, and use telepathy to keep an eye on Steve, while being ready to depart.

I was wearing black military clothes, which were nothing special. I had a flak jacket, which contained a few grenades. Then, there were my two Military issued pistols, and my Rifle, on my back. All in all, I looked ready. If Steve Rogers can storm a base alone, with a simple Aluminium shield, then I can definitely do it with guns to help me.

About 30 minutes after I left Phillips's office, Steve packs up his bags, ready to go in alone, taking a jeep of all things. Thankfully, Peggy stops him, and takes him to convince Stark.

Standing up, I stretch a bit, and sneak out of my room. I'd written a letter, saying I'd gone to help rescue the 107th Division, as Steve might need Adult supervision.

Leaning against the plane which Stark was planning to take, I wait for the trio to get there.

"Hello, boys. Girl. Going somewhere?" I ask, looking at the suited up Stark and Carter, and the ..suited up Steve. Only difference is the type of suits.

"Are you going to stop me?" Steve asks, getting ready to fight.

Snorting at him, I answer, "I'm here to get our boys back. You'll need adult supervision anyway."

Saying that, I simply enter the plane, while Stark and Carter look dumbfounded. Stark simply shakes his head, and comes after me, going towards the cockpit.

"Nice to see you again, Aves. Good to know you're not wasting the money and effort we spent on you." Stark says, smirking at me.

I smile at him, and say, "While I did have lots to do at Italy, it had begun to get a bit boring, to be honest. Here? First night in, and I'm stealing a ship to go towards enemy lines."

Looking at Carter, and Steve who had sat down in front of me, I ask, "So what's the plan?"

Steve looks shocked still, and shakes his head. Clearing his throat, he says, "We go in, and rescue those trapped in the Hydra base. We come back."

I simply look at him, at the brilliant plan he has. Except for the part where it's just an aim. Even Stark stops fiddling with the controls and looks back at Steve. Peggy simply has her head in her hands.

Patting his shoulder, I say, "Don't worry. You'll learn with time. Now listen closely..."

Time to rescue the allied soldiers.

A/N: Yup, while Paladin sounds stupid, Knight doesn't. Sorry Paladin fans, I changed my mind. His name is now The Knight. Not Black Knight, not White Knight. Simply The Knight.

I'm still debating on the uniform and swords. But I have this in mind for now. A short sword in his left hand, and a Long sword in his right. With guns on his hips.

As for the Uniform, I'm thinking of Red Hood, only with swords, and nothing related to bats. If any other non-anime suggestions are there, that can suit that time period, feel free to comment.
